Erin Congrats on finding a venue. So happy for you! Brandy Those invites ROCK, Rebecca is so talented. I love her work! Laura-sorry to hear you are having a hard time finding bathing suits, I will be sure to check at the old navy near me and let you know if I find anything. Teira-Don't stress about the AHR, I find it is alot easier to plan than the destination wedding, not so many little project to do. just the basics, decor, booze, dj and food but then again I am making mine like a reception but not so formal with none of the extras.

Brandy I LOVE those dresses. I would love to find one like the white one with straps for me! Tris-Congrats and well deserved, you are so talented! Michele, glad to hear your shower was a hit! So I previously bought shot glasses and wanted to get them engraved but it cost way too much and with the weight I decided not to bring them but today I put a personalized sticker with our logo on one and I think it looks cute and they can take it off after and just have a plain shot glass with no wedding junk on it lol and I tried with a tag and raffia ribbon. The tag with ribbon takes more work to do but I am not sure which one looks better. I will post pics later for opinions. ?????Started working on music but trying to do it on the cheap and since limewire is shut down there is frostwire/torrent but doesn't have all the songs I am looking for. Any suggestions of other sites ladies. If not I am going to have to pay Itunes I guess because we need ceremony and cocktail hour music as we have no DJ during that time. Erin I am right there with ya! I am soooo ready for a vacation and to get out of this snow and cold! Only 6 weeks left! Eeekkks Still feel like a have so much to do though. Hope I didn't forget anything~

Laura you look beautiful in that dress. It fits perfect. Congrats! Thanks for the template. I made my own today, now just have to cut them at work tomorrow on cardstock, I decided too much work to laminate lol and then add ribbon and Voila. Quick easy and cheap, thanks. I am not doing OOT bags per se so this will help fill my welcome package and I think some guests will enjoy and use in the future. I personalized them too! goodbookmark.docx

Post your hair flower here
lisadias replied to yamille's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
The blue hair flower is not actually a DIY. I got it at micheals for $1.50 and it already had a clip, I thought it was a steal and one of my colors. It is the white one that I bought that I have to make a DIY which I am going to try and find a small brooch for the middle and I an going to glue a small piece of felt and then glue a hair clip to that. Good luck! -
One more request ladies. Are any of you doing programs and if so what the heck do you write in them. I have no idea about the order of things. Anyone have a template they are willing to share. Thanks in advance!

Trying this for the 10th time! I have been mia for a bit. So busy at work and with trying to lose weight. Happy to report I am down 15 pounds and i just started a more hard core diet for the next two weeks so hopefully by dress fitting time I will be happier in the dress. Trainer kicked my ass yesterday and my arms well really all over is hurting lol Francine the oot bags are perfect, don't change a thing! Tris your dress looks fantastic on you, perfect fit, congrats, sooo pretty! Greys, I would go with the long vertical monograms for tall containers and horizontal ones for smaller containers so a mix of 2 and 3. Laura- you are making want to do another DIY project, shame on you! Do you have a template for those? I am wondering how I would laminate them as I have only seen the business card size laminates and I don't have a laminating machine at work. Help! Does anyone have an itinerary template for the wedding day? We are going to get our teeth whitened tomorrow and i am so looking forward to seeing the results. I really want pearly whites in all my pics! I also booked the transportation for my guests for my ahr. We are renting a 15passenger van to do shuttles to and from the event so no one has to drink and drive. My goal this weekend is to try and narrow down the music and put a playlist for the ceremony and cocktail hour at the resort as i won't have a dj for those times just for the dinner and reception. FI is having issues with downloading to his ipod but I think we have just figured it out and now we need to download all the songs we want from scratch. This could take awhile! Have a happy weekend ladies. Oh mocha you just reminded me that I need to get cracking on the tanning sessions also!

Post your bouquet and inspiration pics here

Good call! -
Bailey-I am also travelling with air transat(as is all canadian girls I think) and if you set up a group with them the bride and groom automatically get some extra luggage also. You and your fiance should get 66pounds each for your checked bag and 22lbs for your carry on. I think club class is 33pounds for the carry on but I could be wrong, I have checked the site in a while. Ask her about this. I think you only need a minimum of 10people to qualify as a group with they all booked with air transat. Good luck. I am like Queen Diva where family members all gave me their additional luggage so I think I will be ok but thing I need about 5bags to get my stuff down there!!!

I love this idea, so pretty and tropical! -
White rocks and small folds it is!!! Thanks ladies, I don't know what I would do without you. FI said the same thing and that is what I thought as well but of course I needed my trusy april brides to chime in! THANKS Ok another question> I was going to get my stepmother (well she is not with my father for the last 10yrs or so but is the mother of my sisters) a corsage and then I changed my mind. I am getting one for FMIL and my Grandmother who will be walking me down the aisle with my dad. Should I be getting her one also since she has been in my life since I was 3? She didn't save up any money for the trip except the deposit, my sisters and I pitched in with 400$ towards it and she asked my dad to loan her the rest and deduct from her alimony(don't get me started on this one, it's been over 10 years and he still pays her uhhhhh) which upset me LARGE because that is what I didn't want from the start and it is not his responsibility to get her there. Any thoughts?

OMG I love the paper cutter at my work!!!!! Just cut all 50 menus in 5minutes!!! YAY
-
I couldn't think about what to get my father but for FI's parents we decided the lightest thing would be to pay for them to take an excursion to see the ruins in mexico. Any Daddy gifts you ladies can think of. He is a man who has everything so it is soooo hard to buy him gifts. Ok so I found a thread on here about waterproof makeup for a TTD and most say sephora, benefits, loreal, rimmel and Bare minerals but most suggested sephora which is quite pricey. I need to investigate more it think.
-
ok so I just heard on what not to wear that there is waterproof and sweat proof foundation and makeup. Have any of you heard of this? If so who makes it and where can i find it!!!!

I also don't need to put the placecard there as I was thinking of having them in a tray with sand standing up by the bottom legs of the startfish. The only problem with that is i want certain people to sit in certain seats for better view of the head table and to avoid certain people beside each other! So if I go with that option people will just sit where ever at the table that is on their placecard. I am still not sure which way to go. Tris so exciting to get your dress, can't wait to see pics. With all the stress you must be under with packing, moving, planning and reno's I am sure you will naturally drop a few pounds even if you don't need to.
-
Thanks Ladies. Mocha the resort also puts out name cards for each item in front of it in some sort of sea shell holder so I will end up with both. The menus weren't difficult to do just the cutting is driving me nuts! Here is what the small fold looks like with the placecard.

Show off your shoes....
lisadias replied to twinkletoes's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Here are the four that I have purchased, ceremony, reception, ttd and just walking around. -
My package at the resort includes steaming, thank god! Ok ladies, need opinions again. Today I printed my menus(which is a buffet but I like knowing what's there before i go up and it adds to the decor, maybe useless but hey). I learnt how to make a napkin fold and want to ask if i should go with the larger fold or the smaller fold? I also finished cutting and gluing my table numbers!!! I loath cutting! All placecards are laminated and just need to have the starfish added on. Imagine the placecard on the smaller one when choosing. Also do I go with green rocks or white rocks in the starfish glass for my centerpieces?

Laura-Love the invitation wording and the poem. I am in the same boat as you. I have owned my home for 6years and would really appreciate the cash more than anything as we are saving to get a new bigger house that suits our needs for a family. Brandy, those towels and bags are awesome. where did you get them and how much if you care to share?

Mocha-my vote is for Nine West. I LOVE those shoes, have never seen them before. Beautiful colors and have a bit of white or ivory to match the dress too! They would be more original as alot of brides are going with the Barbie or Hilton shoes! We went to prime outlets, target, walmart, lane bryant (for my favorite bras), and the christmas tree shop. And THIS took us over 12hours of shopping time. Crazy! but Fun!
