Use a travel agent cause there are some perks to booking that way. Sometimes you get one free for so may booked and not sure about the States but in Canada they don't charge you for their services. I would ask for quotes from two and if one is lower than the other and not far off the website prices then which ever one you like ask if they price match. Good Luck!

We are getting married end of april and doing the AHR beggining of July in my fathers backyard. Planned it that way to have better weather. Also planned it on a long weekend for out of town guest. Doing a sit down dinner under a tent but catered buffet. Feels like a second wedding really and it sucks that alot of the same people that are coming to the DW will be there, two meals, two wedding favors etc...Ah well I guess we are doing this more for them than us but should be a blast anyway just alot of additional expenses! Personally i wouldn't wait more than 6 months but if your schedule doesn't allow for it people will understand.

Primavera, have you checked out the now jade riviera, close to airport, 15 minutes from playa del carmen, reasonable rates, seperate adult section and alot of fantastic reviews. I have just booked my wedding there april 26th, 2011. Worth a look!
