Brandy I love them, they are super cute!!! I accomplished my escort cards and my table numbers on my computer but haven't decided how or what I am going to print them on yet! I used the background to our logo to do them. I am going to put the escort cards between the knobby part on the white knobby starfish.

Hi Caroline If you have your dinner in the buffet restaurant and not the bamboo room then they will reserve a section for you but it is not private and your guests would have to wait in line like everyone else but that would be the only option that i know of where there would be no additional costs. If you do this then depending on what you want from the resort for your wedding you may be able to go with the moments package and just pay for whatever extras you want which may work out cheaper but you would have to do the calculations. If you want a photographer and videographer then it may be cheaper to stay with the divine package. Lisa

It's all over the news. Sooo sad. A groom who got married there days before died and a 9 year old boy among other canadians. I don't quite get the explanation though. Natural gasses from a swamp??? If that is the case then I am nervous because now jade is surrounded by mangroves and swamps!! I think it is a freak accident and could happen anywhere. I hope it doesn't frighten our guests.

Hi Ladies Just wanted to let you know and see if any of the Ontario/Toronto brides would be interested in a brides get together. Hey Murmel I live in brampton but work at yonge and steeles so Yorkdale would work for me too! I know Milestones on wednesday has a two for one type of deal and there is one at yorkdale if anyone is interested in that location. Not sure if that work for you but wherever you choose other than downtown works for me. Can we invite other brides also!

Well rather than doing save the dates, invites for DW and invites for AHR I sent out an invitation that announced both events and gave people the option to choose either or both on the reply which I have almost all back and then some have told me if they don't make it down south then they will be at the AHR so i guestimated based on replies and conversations with guest how many would be there and ordered enough to cover 150 people at my AHR and will use enough for 50 at the DW. I figured out how many tables I would need including tables for buffet, alcohol, cake, head table and guest tables and ordered accordingly. I have about 125 written confirmations and assumed 25 more would show based on conversations but there may be drop outs also so who knows. Better to over estimate and then sell them after than not have enough. However if you are conservative with your numbers and are short just a few I am sure there is a rental place in your area where you could rent a few more if needed. Good luck!

Amy-I had substituted my private transfers to be used for my grandmother and my friend who are showing up a day after the rest of the entire party and that was ok but I know when I asked about it she said how many people and she asked it in the sense that there may be a charge if it is more than two people so I would definately try to ask her this question and get her to confirm that she will charge or not. The FI and I are all flying down on the same planes as all of our guests except 4 so we thought why not just go the rest of the way with everyone and substituting it has saved 90$ for my grandmother because they are coming from Tampa and with Bookit you had to pay for transfers. Good tip Tracy because I am using my chair sashes for my AHR also! My family can drink so I will for sure either need an extra waiter or pay to have a bar set up in that room!!!! Don't ya just LOVE DADDIES!!!!

1106wedding-yes the sports bar is the only place open late till 1am and they have music and dancing. Mpoop- they don't charge you the 1$ twice, they just move the same chairs used for the ceremony into the reception is what Pillar told me. Also Pilar told me any decoration you provide her at the first meeting they will set up for you free of charge as long as you provide directions of how you want it. I would add it to my planning form if I was you so it is logged.

oh and by the way, everything in the bamboo room looks awesome!!!!! I was thinking of bringing string lights for the bamboo against the back wall but I see there are lights set up there already behind the bamboo. One less thing to pack yay! Did you request the rectangular tables? I assumed they were round tables. Was the head table at the entrance with your backs to the ocean or is the head table in front of the buffet with both people on each each of the table? I can't tell from the pics.

Hi Tracy Thank you sooo much for taking the time to do such a detailed review. I know we all appreciate it! You might be waiting a while for those pics from Ivan, I think he takes up to 2months to edit and get them back to you. Did no one from your group take any other pics? I keep creeping your facebook to see lol Couple of questions for ya 1. The bamboo room. Were the lanterns just in the small center area of the room or did it mostly cover the dance floor area? 2. I was told there is kind of a wrap around terrace outside of the bamboo room that has tables. Do you happen to remember how many tables and is it private or can other guests go there during the reception? The reason i ask is I was going to bring some sort of decoration for outside also and I am just wondering if you have any thoughts on that? Some of my guests smoke and will be outside a bit i think. 3. Did you just go with the waiters for your drinks or did you have a bar set up inside the room? If so was there a charge? How many wait staff did they have to accomodate you group size as mine will be the same. 4. So from your review I am assuming that you didn't pay the 22 per person for the private a la carte welcome dinner like they keep telling us? 5. Did you bring any welcome items or oot bags for the room and if so would they place them in the rooms for you the night of arrival? 6. For the ceremony music you brought did they keep letting it play (as organized as you are I am sure you have the timing right)? Or did they just keep playing songs you had programed and then when they saw you ready played the song you wanted to walk down the aisle to? 7. When did you get your video from the videographer? 8. Did you take advantage of the massages and the romantic dinner on the beach and if so how was everything? 9. In regards to the privacy of the hot tub on the balcony do you think it is possible to put up a curtain of some sort? 10. Which cake flavor/filling/item number did you choose? How many tiers did it have? Did you pay the extra over 25 or did they just give you a cake to feed 25 people? 11. Did you have a signature drink at the beach bar? Can you remember how the tables looked for the cocktail hour? Was anything on them? 12. Did they have signs for each event with you wedding party name on it? 13. What time did your party end as you said the DJ stayed longer. I have paid for the 4 hours but my dinner is from 6:30-11pm and was hoping that wouldn't be a problem for him to stay longer which from the sounds of it it won't 14, How did the hair and makeup at the spa go or did you end up going with someone else? If so who? 15. Did you do any excursions and if so which ones and with who? Were they through the resort? 16. Did you iron your own sashes or pay the 1$ for them to do it? 17. Did you head to the sports bar/disco after the reception and if so what was it like? 18. My cousin is planning a bachelorette for me on the sunday and i was wondering if you did anything like that there. We are thinking of going to Coco Bongo. Do you know anything about it? Ok so that was more than a couple lol Sorry but inquiring minds want to know lol I would love any and all feeback you can provide. Thanks again! Lisa

I have 50 people coming down south and about 150 and it was actually cheaper to buy the items, tablecloths, chair covers, sashes, overlays and napkins then to rent them. After the wedding I will just sell everything! Yay I love a deal, just thought I would share. The deal is good till Nov 15th!

Brandy & Laura-I am doing the white board thing too and I bought the boards and markers at dollorama! My 14year old cousin will be taking the pics for me as he has no one there his age and I am sure will be bored stiff lol I thought about the fuji instant camera thing but this was cheaper and easier and I can just develop them when we get home and post them at the AHR to get other interested to do the same thing at the AHR. Greys-Love the dress. It fits you like a glove. FI is gonna think you are a bombshell in that! Congrats!

oh I feel your pain! Why are they having such sizing issues over there? I know they are not use to our sizes but come on. The dress is very pretty and close to the original. Once altered I think it will look great. Considering what you paid for it, I would ask for half off and get the alterations done yourself in Canada. If she tells you she can't help you, open a dispute with dhgate. good luck!

I am having my entire party(about 50) at the buffet for easter sunday dinner so there is no charge, they will just put tables together. If there is no wedding that day I may even be able to have it out on the terrace, same thing for my rehearsal dinner(15ish) the next night. Still need to iron out the details with Pillar but this is what I was told so far. In any or the restaurants there is a charge for a party of more than 10 people I think of 22+++++
