The dress fits but they need to do some alterations to remove alot of the train and it needs to be hemmed. Yeah I think I may do the same but i don't know yet. gotta think about it more i guess. I love the bottom of NHK's dress on the knockoff thread and may try that bottom with the alfred angelo 2070 top and if it works out I could probably wear that for both the ceremony and the reception and then even the TTD cause it has straps. I am so indecisive it's not even funny and we dont' have much time left. I just don't know if I could order something without trying it on first and of course i am like you and haven't found one where i like the top and the bottom together. I think she was considering white even because she said that is why she asked me if I was going to wear white or ivory. When i told her white I guess she figured ivory would be ok!!! FI's mom wants to wear a purple dress, probably a plum color and his dad is wearing tan pants and I am not sure what color of shirt yet. For $1.50 i thought what the hell and it actually looks good on, lays flat and not too puffed out. I am so not a DIY person so I am curious to see how the white flower will turn out.

NHK I love that dress. I was looking for a dress with ruffles but couldn't find one I liked and the bottom on that dress is great. It looks more like chiffon in the pic rather than organza.

Ok ladies, status update on the dress. I LIKE it but don't LOVE it! Crap!!!!!! Decided on a flower and no veil. i bought a flower at Michaels today for my reception (white) and one for my TTD (blue). I am going to try and DIY my reception hair flower but the blue one is already ready to clip in my hair. I also bought my first DIY item lol it's a 2inch circle hole punch to finish my door hangers and it works great! Welcome Megan! Hello to you too Laura. Have fun at the game! Just found out my dad is going to be wearing a cream linen shirt that he bought in mexico with black pants and black sandals. Do you think this will look bad in pictures beside my WHITE dress? His girlfriend is also wearing a cream linen halter dress with gold on it. I can't even imagine what that will look like. One sister I haven't really talked to at all since August and the other i talk to a bounce ideas off but hasn't really helped me much at all. I have been doing the entire wedding myself. The one I am not talking to made a big deal in August about spending a couple of hours with me shopping for a dress, i was civil when I went home for christmas but haven't talked to her at all since. Not once has she asked if I needed help, how things were going or anything. I had previously asked her back in Sept to help me with table numbers(which i have since done myself) making a music list and getting lawn sign holders and i have heard nothing about it. She can't call me but has my sister and my stepmother call me to tell me i should just talk to her but she is a grown woman and can pick up a phone. She also called FI one day while he was working and tried to manipulate him. I am sooo done with her childish and stubborn ways that I don't even want her in my wedding but my dad really doesn't want me to say that to her. The way I see it there is not one good reason other than she is my sister to keep her in it. She doens't seem to care, be interested or even want to help. It seems she is just happy about the free trip(dad is paying for both sisters to come). I was hoping that she would get so mad that i wasn't talking to her that she would just back out but that hasn't happened yet. OK ranting over. Point was sisters suck sometimes and don't always think about you in your moment.I felt better not dealing with her, pulling back and it has been easier to get things done instead of kepping on dwelling on the fact that I am sooooo disappointed in her for now being there for me. Maybe you should cut down the time you spend with your sister Tris because you have alot going on right now and if she is adding more stress it is something you do not need. They usually take 15 days to make it then another 15days delivery, i would give it a month to be safe.

Some of the vendors make beautiful dresses for really cheap. They are not 100% exact but close. I loved the beading on mine they just positioned it in the straight across the waist and it was supposed to be angled, it was too big and the boning wasn't strong enough to hold the girls up but other than that the dress was made really well for the price. I used monica bridal. There is a thread about knockoffs if you are considering it but they mostly discuss bridal gowns.

It was my favorite out of the 300 (well it felt like that many) that i tried on and I knew I had to make a decision in October so I bought it and have not been shopping since but now that it has arrived I think i am a little freaked out and scared it won't look right. I did stop looking except in regards to the TTD i showed you because it was so comfortable and simple enough for the TTD. I tried the knockoff route first and didn't like the dress at all, it was too big and too many mistakes were made from what I wanted so I felt rushed into getting an original due to delivery times and the fact that they were discontinuing my dress that weekend so I had to make a decision. Just not sure it was the right one. Maybe I will feel better tomorrow when I see it and try it on in the right size.

I think I know the store you are talking about Lua and the dresses are horrible! It's in the same building as Windsor Bridal.

Oh then, when is the trip to NYC lol I totally would too! That is the crazy part!. You are right we waited longer than most and if I don't feel great in that dress on Saturday I am on the hunt for another one!

Brandy which one do you think is better out of the two? I was thinking the maggie for the ceremony and reception and the alfred for the TTD.

Oh and I have tried it on and LIKED it. It was my second choice but chose to go with the maggie because of the quality I got for my money. Yeah Brandy that is awesome, let's hope he sticks to his words!!!!
