  1. My Fiancé is also walking his mother down the aisle. Here's how we are doing it. (We have a small wedding party, just 1 MOH and 2 Best Men): FI will walk his mother to her seat with his father following behind - Groom will stand at Pergola One BM will walk my mother to her seat - & take his place at Pergola One BM will walk MOH & they will take their place at Pergola Then me & my dad! Recession: FI parents together My Parents (or vice versa, I don't care either way which set of parents go first) MOH with a BM on each arm Then me & my Fiancé Easy peasy!

  3. I have the same situation! I've been running around like crazy every time someone books. My FMIL was like oh, they should know by mid May if they are definite! WHATTT???? A month before the wedding?! People very rude and inconsiderate. I told my FMIL that there was a chance that they wouldn't get a welcome bag. I'll just nicely tell them that it was after the deadline and I ran out of things. At this point, I could care less!

  6. This sounds like I wrote this! I'm a Now Jade Bride, but I just read your post and I am in the EXACT same boat. We only expected 40 and right now we have 69 booked. When's your wedding date? I don't have a official budget sheet from the resort but I made a very detailed one myself and if my estimations are right, we are at around $9700! This includes centerpieces through the resort, extra photography, extending the reception and hour and the DJ. We were NOT expecting it to be this much! I'm honored that some many people are coming to celebrate, but I don't even know half of them!
  7. This means that the price you actually paid for the voucher expires in 2018. The promotional price ($75) expires in June. Example: if you paid $17 for a $75 voucher, they will honor your $17 until 2018 but u must use the $75 by June. Hope this helps!

  9. :-( I'm in June in Castaways and I'm starting to freak out about the heat! I wish I could change it! I'm hoping I still can but with the Bamboo Room being so popular, I'm preparing for the worst! LOL I'll make the best of it either way, I'm just hoping our guest will feel the same way!
  10. Awesome Job! Did you print all of them yet? I read somewhere on these boards not to put the exact date on those b/c people will know when your guest are at the wedding and the empty room could be a target for robbers.. I never really thought too much about it but it just kinda freaked me out so I just put the June 2013 on ours. Just a thought if you haven't printed them yet!
  11. That's a good idea, except for the fact that none of my darn family OR friends are coming to the wedding! Out of 69 people, 8 are my side and that includes my mom, dad, sister and sisters bf! Now I'm looking forward to my bachelorette party in Myrtle Beach in 4 weeks!

  13. I haven't heard anything about paying extra for chairs at reception. I'm just using the white covered chairs. I'm already far over our budget!
  14. I will also be purchasing chair sashes with in the next couple weeks. As soon as I get my final headcount. I'm leaning towards organza as well. I think I read somewhere that they will iron them and tie them with a $40 set up fee. I think it is also $40 to transfer the chairs for the reception. I asked this question about paying extra for chairs over 25 people and someone said you did not have to. The chairs included in the package are the white covered chairs. Anything else is extra. There is a pdf that I believe IronMan posted a few pages ago with all that information on it. I think it's about $10 per chair to use the other chairs.
  15. We are using round tables and a sweetheart table. As of right now we are expecting 69 guest and using about 8 round tables. I also read 6-8 people but will have 8 people at the majority and right now 2 with 9 people . It's just how it worked out. I really really hope they aren't too cramped! I'll be sure to share pics and a review when we return!
  16. I had my bridal shower this past Saturday! It was awesome! Everything I could have hoped for! Wanted to share the water bottles I made. I just used regular water bottles and took off the original label and replaced it with my own label. I fell in love with this idea when I first saw it and figured I can't drag water bottles to Mexico so it was perfect to incorporate them into my shower!
  17. It feels so good to check things off the list, doesn't it!? I actually got my jewelry from Khols. I was surprised to find it there, but they have some nice things. I am not wearing a veil, I'm opting for a feather/flower type thing.
