Quick Question for past brides.. Or those who would know.. I am wearing 2 different shoes. One for ceremony, one for reception. Is there somewhere we can put my receptions shoes or do we have to go back to the room? Also, same with lipstick/lipgloss. I'd like to touch up my lips before photos and before we enter the reception.. What are our options? I won't be seeing the groom before the wedding, or I'd just have him hold them in his pocket! And my MOH will not have pockets. Okay, i just realized my dad could hold my lip stuff, but what about shoes?

I couldn't agree more. My wedding is in June, we sent save the dates a year in advance. Nobody booked, i was so discouraged... Our first guest did not book until Janurary 2013 (6 months before the wedding) it is now 1 month till our wedding and we are STILL having folks book. As of now, we will have 65 guest attending and the majority booked only 2-4 months in advanced. I can never understand how people do it, I'm a planner and like to have my vacation book. When I started planning our DW I said "if they aren't booked 2-3 months before, more than likely they aren't coming". Well, I quickly learned that that was false! Some people are just very last minute! It's very frusterating but don't get discouraged so far ahead from your wedding date. People will surprise you.

I'm so sorry to hear that Michelle. It just is unfortunate. No matter how much notice you gave, whether it be 1 year or 2 years, people have to continue with their lives and some people get pregnant. So they have very valid excuses I couldn't imagine not having my mother and sister with me, so I completely understand your dilemma. Just think about it and you'll make the right decision. Is there any possible way you and your FI could help pay for your mother's trip?

I am very un-crafty (although, I'm way better now than I was before I started planning our wedding!) and I don't know what I'd do without VistaPrint. Every time I ordered something, I used a groupon or living social deal. Well worth it! I'm pretty sure I spent UNDER $200 for all of this, and that includes 150 invitations & Save the dates... Cannot beat that! Also, most all of these ideas came from past/present brides on this forum. Shout out to everyone who shared their projects! Couldn't have done it without you!

I ordered some from DSW but still waiting to receive them so who knows how they will work... What do yours look like, what size and how tall is the heel? I've already gotten my dress altered wearing these shoes so I really need to find something similar in height... about 4 1/2 inch heel.. Can you post a pic?

I'm very surprised you did not get a response! She responded about 15 minutes after I sent the message! I too was going to provide mugs/tumblers for my guest, but my guest list became a lot more than I planned and I refuse to take down more than one suitcase filled with things for the wedding and unfortunately, the tumblers/mugs just didn't make the cut!

We are investigating these reviews, because the resort did not have reports, clients decide to post in tripdavisor and we already contacted them to ask them about it. Regarding the glasses, we have explained them that the water where they saw to clean the glasses it is a disinfected water. Not sure about the lighting.. We are doing our champagne toast immediately after the ceremony. As for the DJ, we are opting to trade our live music including in our package for 2 hours of DJ time and we will be paying $350 per hour to have the DJ for the whole 4 hour reception 7pm-11pm (we are paying $15 per person to extend an hour). I have also read reviews that the DJ ended up staying the whole time even though it wasn't paid for but I definitely wouldn't go in expecting it. Who knows, with all the inconsistencies, it could happen but I def don't want to take that chance.

Great planning thread Tova! 10 more days!! Are you planning on bringing all of your make up to the spa and having them use your products on you, or are you planning on doing it yourself?

I cannot believe you are married already! It's amazing how time flies. Gorgeous photos! I am so happy to hear the resort photog was decent. We also are going with them since we just didn't have it in our budget to go elsewhere. Very interesting about the way they clean their glasses.. I hate to hear that. So do they have disposable mugs or cups? Is that what you mean by "Order the mugs or cups and use them." So would they be better than the glasses? I'm so happy you had an amazing wedding day/vacation and honeymoon!!

Thanks ladies!! Just thought I'd throw this out here but I bought my shoes from 6pm.com, I love them, but unfortunately, they are the wrong color. I thought I would get over it and just say screw it and wear them anyways, but the color is just not right. I need more of a hot pink fuchsia and these are more of a purple fuchsia. I'm going to have to get another pair so I'd like to sell them. I paid $35 for them but I'd part with them for like $20-$25. I'd just rather get something for them than them just sit in my closet. They are a size 7, the shoe is RSVP Kamryn. I've looked for them on 6pm.com and I think they are gone, I purchased them about 2 months ago. Here's what they look like....

I had my bachelorette party this weekend! Me and just a few of my closets friends drove down to the beach on Friday morning. The weather was sucky but we made the best of it! They threw me a lingerie party on Friday night at the hotel then we went out on Saturday night (my birthday was Sunday so we turned it into a Birtharette (Bachelorette & Birthday!) Everything was more than I could have ever imagined. I felt so special every minute of the weekend! I'm pretty much all ready for the big day. I need to order our chair sashes and pick up my dress on 5/15. Other than that, it's time to sit back & relax.... Countdown is 37 days until we leave!

Are you ladies bringing a card box with you? Would it be tacky not to have one? I just feel like I have enough crap wedding stuff to bring down already! lol I don't expect the people attending to bring gifts or cards or anything but what if they do? Would it be awful to just have them laid on a table? Or is there any kind of cheap card box I could get. Something that is flat and we can just put together quickly when we arrive?

I received my brochures from Vistaprint today! Can't wait to send them out. I feel like it's a tad too early to send them, but who cares, I think I'll do it anyways! Hoping it'll get people excited! I can't believe I can say "my wedding is NEXT month!"
