Thank you for clarifying. After re-reading my post, it did seem a bit confusing about the $500 private reception fee.

Hey JenO, For the Eternity Package it is $48 per person over 25 people and for the Divine is it $53 per person extra over 25. If you do not choose one of these packages, it is $20 per person over 10 people to have it at a restaurant. If you want a private reception you have to pay $500 for a private terrace, plus $20 per person (i believe). It depends on how many guest you have but if you are going with the Eternity or Divine package anyways, I would take advantage of the private reception which includes up to 25 people since you are paying for that in the package anyways. You don't have to do a dj, especially since your not a dancing crowd you could always use your ipod with the sound system. And as for decorations, I plan on bring very few things, chair sashes, table runners, & paper lanterns which all do not take up too much room and are easy to travel with. I still haven't decided on centerpieces, but whichever I decide, it will be pretty simple.

Great! I'll make sure to tell Pilar I need it to look real! A video is important to me just so I can show people that won't be able to make it. Mainly my grandmother. But I just watched Uhaft's video and it's actually just what I want. The videos that make it look like a movie are great but not sure I can afford what they charge. I think i'll stick with the resort videographer. Thanks!

Does anyone have a copy of what exactly is said during the ceremony? Also, for those that did a symbolic ceremony, were you able to sign something to make it look more 'real'?

I am also wondering this. I know probably 1 for bridal party entrance, 1 for bride entrance, but how many songs while guest are seated/waiting? How long in advance does the guest start to arrive at the ceremony site?

I do believe it is unlimited drinks. For the reception I believe they get your drinks from the nearest bar. You can rent your own private bar set-up inside your reception for $250 I think. I am debating whether or not I want to do this. I kinda like the idea of having it right there but not exactly sure if it's worth the extra money.

Pilar sent me a wedding planning form which has all our options including cocktail hors d’ouvres, appitizers & dinner entrees. She stated that the form should be returned 45 days before the wedding.

I haven't been there yet but I am pretty sure the bamboo room has round tables which seat 6-8 people. I may be wrong but I believe I read that somewhere.

I get the same comments some from friends and family! There are the few people that are supportive and excited about our vacation but I think we all have the negative ones too. Just yesterday I had someone say "Mexico?? Do you wanna come back from your wedding alive?" It took a lot for me to just to laugh and change the subject! Oh well, it's their loss for not coming!

Good question! Does the groomsmen & parents of bride and groom HAVE to wear bouts and corsages? Would it look weird if they don't? I'm not a huge flower person and wouldn't mind saving the money on this part lol.

I did not know this either. I thought for sure it was extra.

I am also using wedding wire for most of the same reasons sswed13 said. It's very user friendly too! I love it.
