Now you've got me thinking about this. I originally was just going to choose one meal to make it easier on myself, but the more I think about it, the more I dislike the idea of picking what people eat. I definitely don't want to do assigned seating. So now I'm also thinking of creating place cards with guest names and entree selection. How are you going to let them know to pick up their placecard and choose a seat? Would you put a some sort of sign on the table stating that with all the placecards? Also, how are you going to make your placecards? Also, when you send your invites are you sending RSVP cards? I wanted to just have everyone RSVP by email/website/phone because I hear so many stories of people not returning the cards. I'd hate to waste the money on them and not receive them back. However, since I now will be asking for their entree selection I am not sure if I have to do it. I imagine it would be tacky to put that directly on the invitation. Oh I just don't know! I'm the first of my friends to get married and I'm just sooo confused!

Awe! I love this proposal story! How sweet! Mine wasn't all fancy either. We were just at home when it happened but I couldn't imagine it any other way. I think I would have felt awkward had it happened while we were out at a restaurant or something!

Thanks! I totally get what your saying. I guess I'm just confused. I didn't think the actually DJ would be there for the ceremony part of the wedding. In all the weddings I have been to I have never seen a DJ there for the ceremony.

I wanted to make some sort of sign that says something along the lines of "Today we become one family so choose a seat, not a side" I'm just having trouble on which type of sign to bring. I found some yard sign type things on vistaprint but you need to like stick them in the grass or sand and we will be at the Pergola. Does anyone have any idea how we could display a sign like that? I am soo un-creative.

This is going to be hard for me! My mom is super casual and my FI mother is very dressy and fancy. I'm glad you girls say they don't have to coordinate b/c that just won't work with them!
