  1. Hey Avborges! I'm confused on when you should send out your invites since you just sent out save the dates 7 months in advance. You probably could have saved some money but skipping the save the dates and just sending the invitations. I send out our save the dates in June of this year and i'm planning on sending invites after the holidays. A lot of brides getting married in June/July have already sent out their invitations. I am including an RSVP card and travel info will be on the back side of the invite. The RSVP card will also list meal choices for our guest to choose. With that said, I know you just sent out the save the dates but I would send out the actual invites by February.
  2. I got mine from http://www.clearbags.com/spec/vinyl/luggage-tags/2-3-4-x-4-1-8-clr-vinyl-luggage-tags.html If you need a smaller quantity you can try here: http://www.clearenvelopes.com/2-3-4-x-4-1-8-clr-vinyl-luggage-tags.html
  3. Can any past brides who had the resort pass out welcome bags as guest checked in tell me how much it was? The first page of this thread say's $2-$3 per bag but when I asked Pilar she said $4. Not a huge difference, but just wondering if the price has went up. Trying to decide if we'll have the resort do it or if we will just do it on our own. Guess it'll all depend on how many guest we'll have.
  4. According to the spa pricing I have the price for hair is $45 for short hair and $55 for long hair and $45 for make up. From most of the reviews I read, I believe a lot brides use their iPods for the ceremony music. I'm pretty sure both the Eternity and Divine packages come with the sound system and a technician to play each song at the right time. I plan to have around 4 songs while guest are being seated, 1 song for the mothers and my maid of honor's entrance, 1 for my entrance, and 1 for the recessional.
  5. I would def recommend trying one of the travel agents from this website! Search Wright Travel Agency. I use Wendy, but all of them are awesome and knowledgeable!! :-)
  6. Thanks Tova! I really like the ones with the names written in the wire and I'm def not creative or patient enough to make the hangers on my own, I'd rather just buy them! LOL Wow, those are some expensive swimsuits! Cute, but pricey! I'll just stick with Victoria Secrets, fits better with my budget! :-) Thanks for the links!
  7. Love the personalized hangers! How did you label them with Maid of Honor, etc? Or did they come like that?
  8. Can't wait to see the rest of your planning! Your only 2 months away! How exciting
  9. In case anyone is wondering, here is the DJ form that Pilar sent me. I'm using whichever DJ they provide so I am not sure if it makes a difference but here's what I have. Copia de Formato DJ.xls
  10. Just sent to both email addresses. Let me know if you get them!
  11. Thanks for the review. Maybe I missed it, but where were you married?????? Which resort?
  12. Those flowers are pretty! They are called Pom Poms? I've never heard of them. They almost look like daisys! Were these included in your package? I only need a bouquet for myself and my MOH and I'm hoping to keep the price reasonable and just chose whatever is included in the package for myself and just get a smaller version for my sister. 13. Hey! Did someone already email you the forms? If not, i'd be happy to, just let me know!
  14. Awe! I like the "wedding facebook" idea. I just wouldn't have the patience or creativity to do it!
  15. I thought about meeting each guest in the lobby but decided against it for that same reason. I'm not sure when people are coming in, but i'm sure they will be different days/times and I don't want to spend my vacation in the lobby either! I will def have to check out Hobby Lobby for the bags! I never thought they'd be cheaper than the dollar store. I'll have to remember to check out Wal-Mart's travel section. For some reason I didn't even think about that. I like the idea of Spanish phrases as well! It'll be a cheap and easy thing to add to the bag. Another easy thing I think I'll add is Cancun Fun Facts.. Just something simple to fill the bag. I'm all about cheap and easy! I found this on the forum somewhere, I just took the facts and copied them onto a Rack Card in Vistaprint. I cannot remember which bride's idea this was, (I should have made notes as to who's ideas I took!):
  16. If you do a search for oot bags there are tons of ideas. I haven't started mine yet, but I plan to do the following: Welcome Letter Do Not Disturb Door Hanger Koozie A Wedding Weekend Survival Kit (zip lock bag which includes:) Advil Imodium Emergen-C Packet Aloe Gum Tissue Chapstick Hand sanitizer So far that's it. We want to keep it basic. I may add a little more depending on how many guest we have but I'm trying to keep it reasonable. I think we are just going to use plain old gift bags from the dollar tree (2 for $1) rather than the tote type bags. I think we will have the resort give them out as each guest check-in. I believe it's $4 per bag or we may give them out ourselves if we have a welcome cocktail gathering. Once I start the process, I'll be sure to let u ladies know what I end up doing! ;-)
  17. I love all your creations Laura! What wording did you use for your mad lib cards? I am trying to make them but I find so many different "stories" and I can't decide!
  18. Nevermind! I jumped the gun! So sorry to post a new thread. I found one already here! I swear, everything is on this forum!
  19. Hi Ladies! I was hoping one of you creative brides would be willing to help me. I am super un-creative. I was on pinterest and saw these super cute mint matchbooks. They look pretty easy to put together if only I had a template. I've searched the web for a template but cannot find one. The link that I'll provide below has a template on it but I cannot download it. When I do, it prints out HUGE! I was also hoping to find a template where i can put our wedding date and "Mint to Be" somewhere on the matchbook. Does anyone have a template they are willing to share or is anyone creative enough to help me make one? I think this is a cute and cheap idea for the reception or for welcome bags.. It looks so simple, but yet, I'm having trouble with the template ;( Here's the link I'm interested in. http://offbeatbride.com/2012/03/how-to-make-mintbook-favors#comment-184646 Thanks Girls! :-)
  20. I don't really have a template. I actually went to vistaprint and designed an oversized postcard. I then saved it in a word doc and printed it out on card stock. I'll be mailing the thank you for booking note and luggage tags as each person books. We will also send all of our confirmed guest a pre-travel brochure about a month and a half before the wedding. It may end up being a lot of postage (depending on # of guest) but I think it's a nice touch and we really want to show our appreciation for joining us!
  21. I'm still all over the place too! I am honestly not too concerned about flowers as I'm not a huge flower person anyways. And honestly, I've been to about 20 weddings and I have no clue what any of the brides flowers looked like! LOL! I'll probably just get some basic daisys or lillies from the resort. This past weekend my fiance and I went and purchased our wedding bands so I was happy about that! That was a big purchase out of the way. (well at least the deposit!) I did start making luggage tags and thank you for booking notes to send to people as they book. So far we've had 2 confirmed! Yay! Now I'm just still at a stand-still until I get some sort of idea how many guest we'll have!
  22. Do you think something like these labels would be too big to stick on the bags? (I got these from other brides on these boards) Imodium Labels (1).doc
  23. Hey Kay, Have you already received the bags? I was looking at ordering some then started thinking about the DIY label. The bag seems so small I have no clue how to make the label. I'd like to do one for each type of medicine. Have you made a template for your labels yet?
