I asked and Carolina told me that they offer no group rates that we would have to go through a travel agency. I checked out this place, vacation store of Miami it's an online travel agency their rates are pretty good and you don't have to pay all at once

Cocktail hour for 2011, I'm still trying to figure out if they still do that, I asked Carolina almost a month ago no response it's not listed on the "extra's" she emailed me. But I heard people mention instead of doing a cocktail hour just having everyone meet up at Hemingway's (a bar at the resort) I'm leaning towards that and I figured I would just send my bridesmaids to reserve some space before everyone gets there Unless you rent out the restaurant for 1000 dollars you cannot dance in the restaurants , so I was told. Semi private is they have a designated area for your guests but the restaurant is still open for the rest of the resort I hadn't heard anything about the a dance floor for the beach party, how much do they charge for that?

I have a question related to music.. I plan on having the beach party with the dj but making my cd's how does it work out, as far as certain songs being played at certain times? ie: bouquet/garter toss, entrance. Do I just number all the cd's? I feel like I'm going to have to keep telling the dj when to play things and I don't want to be bothered, I just want to enjoy my night.

I'm getting married June 4,2011.. I'm sending my save the dates by the middle of August and my invites in November. I'm including the hotel info in my save the dates so people can book early if they want to. Hope this helps!

Can any of you past brides tell me what the vows are like for the legal ceremony? I didn't think I would care but I just went to a wedding and absolutely hated what the judge said, it just seemed so "legal" and not very heartfelt

I was so set on the ceremony on the beach until I saw a picture of a ceremony on some review page, and there were people in bathing suits caught in the pictures, it looked very tacky and I know I would be pissed, that's when I made up my mind on the gazebo. I'm having the beach party so I'll be satisfied. I also plan on having the trio band. My husband is from DR and it's tradition to have that.

I will be doing the garter and bouquet toss, I think it's fun to see people go crazy trying to catch it!! We don't have many single guys, so I think we'll have all the guys join in for it. what I'm not doing is when the guy who catches the garter puts it on the girl who catches the bouquet, I think that would be very uncomfortable for both parties involved!

I bought a rhinestone headband and will glue a piece of chiffon to it, that way I can take it off for the reception without messing up my hair. (I'll be wearing my hair down)

Love the dress! They will most likely do an American bustle so the design will show it's basically just pinching it up. french bustle only works for really long trains, if you get a french bustle it will hide the design. I just had a very long talk with alterations about bustles, we have a similar style and that's what she told me.

I'm jealous, just went to the dollar tree online, not there nor are they in my local store
