totally!!!! It's amazing!! I am now working on finding the perfect jewelry!! -
I 100% agree! I have also read alot of positive reviews from brides from the Royal in Cancun and PDC....obviosuly not every wedding will be perfect, but the majority go without a hitch! i guess we just have to prepare ourselves to deal with any unexpected thnigs........although unfortunte, these negative experiences have not stopped me from doing the best that i can to make sure everything is crystal clear (on paper!) in communication and planning........Happy planning ladies!!

Hi Wanda, so sorry to hear about your negative experience!! I hope you can post your pro pics when you receive them! we would love to see! I am sure the wedding was still beautiful. I do have one question....about the sound system.....did that work well for you? was the music loud enough...did it have that "party" vibe? I just dont want to spend almost 1k on a DJ when the sound system and a well organized ipod will work.....Thanks!!

Hi Melissa~ I am too getting married at the chapel at Gran Caribe on 6/21/11!! when is your wedding?? My reception is at the royal on the beach....we are exepcting about 60 ppl....and we are having a private reception......i think 30 ppl is a good number for a private reception and i dont think your guests would be bored! think about it! and if you do decide on a semi-private dinner, depending on which restaurant you choose, and if you have 30 ppl, tha'ts a pretty good amount! how's your planning going? who is your WC? are you having an outside photographer? makeup artist? lol sorry for all the questions i just love chatting with brides from the Royal and Gran Caribe....which package do you have? -

Hi Ladies!!! HERE is my dress!! I started looking for dresses in August and tried on 4 dresses at Davids Bridal.....this was my first time even looking at dresses.......i was looking for 4 specific things: Sweetheart neckline, mermaid, vintage looking lace, brings out all the right curves......and i found that in the first dress i tried on! i couldnt believe it. I didn't even go to the store with the intentions of liking anything nevermind falling inlove with it! Here are a few pics of the dress.....pictures do not do it justice!! I LOVE IT! ' and i need ZERO alterations! its like heaven lol The dress is by Oleg Cassini -
Hey ladies! for those of you who wanted to know about using stapples or glue to put the passports together......I was going to try glue but found that the inside pages were not really sticking to the outside cover and was affraid that after my guests had them for a while that they would come apart! so i used stapples and they came out pretty nice! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/65069/bride2b22-s-diy-passport-invites Jszy10- i have no idea where you got the patience to glue them all and actually get them to work seemlessly! great job!

Hi Jozee! I am acutally doing my BD shoot with Jen from Jenerations.com in NY! she is awesome!! so many girls here have used her! I used to live in NY and still have lots of family there so its pretty easy for me to take the trip out there. I do however have some info on a photographer i checked out here. she was really nice too! Let me know if you want her info. your wedding is just a few days before mine, if you want to have one i suggest looking into it now that way you have one less thing to think about!

Royal Cancun
Bride2B22 replied to cruzer01's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
I totally agree!! I dont tell my WC anything about who can come to my room.....there are many ways to get around this you just have to be smart about it......especially if you have a WC who says no to everything!! I have told her about my photographer that way they know about my vendor fee......but as far as my H&M person who is coming to the resort, and has been there before for many weddings, he told me that all he does is go to the security sign in, give them his ID and let them know what room they are going to and for how long.......so many Royal Cancun and PDC brides have done this and get no vendor fee!! I am trying to keep everything positive.....and getting everything in writing!! -
Ssantos- sorry to hear about your bad experience! i am having my ceremony at the chapel and the reception on the beach at the Royal.....mostly everyone (at least the importatn people) are staying at the royal which will make things easier......it really sucks taht you had such a bad experience......I got engaged there this past June and loved it! we were really treated like royalty......i think all of the reviews i have read on the resort, some brides have an amazing experience and some have a horrible experience......which sucks.....but i know for sure that everything i plan is in writing, confirmed by my WC......if i have a phone conversation with her i immediately follow it with an email to have her confirm everything we spoke about........I def thank you for your review, and this just helps me be more cautious!
