Yes, we had to bring the originals of all of those docs....we did email all the sacramental docs as well as the letter of approval to or WC so that she can forward to the church just so they can verify that everything was in order... it's so weird, why does your preist insist on sending those directly himself? Maybe you should show him the letter that shows all requirements for the catholic wedding that says originals need to be brought with you?

Have you asked to have your onsite WC changed? When do you arrive to the resort? Perhaps you can have Mischka deliver the maracas when you are already there......instead of two weeks before the wedding.......that might work better!

Vanessa- DO NOT MAIL THAT TO THE CHURCH!!! Send over the scanned copies to your WC and ask her to confirm when she sends those copies over to the church...you will need these originals when you meet with your WC =) do not mail lol

I was married at the royal in cancun on 6/21/11....we had a catholic ceremony at the chapel at the gran caribe real....and my cocktails and reception from 5-10pm on the beach at the Royal! I'll be happy to answer any questions for you if you'll like to PM me =) who told you you couldn't have anything after 9pm on the beach? If anything it is after 10pm due to the noise etc....first time i hear that its bc of the turtles lol..... PM me and i can send you pics, answer endless questions and give advise =) happy planning!

Hey!!! Here is my program!!! well its not my final one (cant find it).....basically printed both pages back to back and folded the page right in the middle (makes sense??) I think if you have a picture/pictures of what you want, there shouldnt be a problem! i think for you, as the bride, it'll be worth having a trial done just to get an idea of how their work is!

you might want to check is Rhapsody works in mexico? I know Pandora did not work (due to some restrictions etc).......... I got married at The Royal In cancun, and as far as activities/music around the pool; it was the same as it was when we went last year! loud and fun lol

HI!! I didn't get to eat too much at the GCR since most of our dinners were at The Royal, but the times that we did eat there last year and this year the food was great!!! Everyone who stayed at GCR for our wedding loved the food there.........and the burgers and such made by the grill/bar over by the pools were delicious!! Ugh i debated about this for weeks........I mean, its not easy to just choose a flavor from the list without knowing if it will be good or not......so in the end i just said F-it lol..and went with plain old vanilla because i did not feel like stressing over flavors.......and WOW when we did the cake cutting and we actually ate the cake, i was impressed!!! it was delicious!!! so good and moist!!!

lol.....you just repeat what the preist says.....which gives you one less thing to stress about lol....he goes over this during your meeting tho!

First of all I was teary eyed!! Such a BEAUTIFUL video! wow!! we had the same wedding shoes except mine were fuchsia by Valero Martinez....you looked absolutely stunning! We are getting our video in about 2 weeks....we used Mediamorfosis, and I agree that having that day document it and being able to see yourself, your family, the process of getting ready, saying 'I Do' is just amazing....I cant even imagine the feeling everyone gets when they get to watch their wedding after after weeks of it happening.....and the lanthers are just the cherry on top! amazing!

Actually, i literally choose the instrument and then they take care of everything......I didnt even think to choose what songs to place etc....They know exactly when to start, when to pause and when the resume again........i was glad this was one less thing to worry about...UNLESS of course you have certain songs you want played.....once i get my video (next 2 weeks or so!) i should be able to have a better idea of how it played out....alot of things seem blurred at the moment lol....i guess that's the good part of having video and photography! lol

HI! We stayed at the Royal and got our free upgrade to the "swim up suite" from originally booking at Royal Coner suite.............my cousin had originally booked a beachfront Walk out suite at GCR and was able to upgrade to the Royal the day she arrived for like $160 extra for the whole 5 days! and they got the very last room at the Royal that was available on the spot.........I am not sure if your upgrade would apply to the Royal..But my advice is, if you want to stay at the Royal after the wedding, make those accomodations now and dont wait until you are there and risk not having rooms available......and if you can get the swim up suites, the better lol

I had my cocktail hour and Reception on the beach.....and not one person complained about heat! it's so pleasantly nice after 5pm....especially because yours is at the Royal in Cancun and you kow the sand is shaded by 4-4:30 right in front of the resort! so no worries! my guests absolutely loved everything.....heat is something very unimportant when everyone is in the spirit of the wedding/fun! It's like they dont even think about it....ESPECIALLY where there's alcohol being served to them left and right lol

Thank you!!!! I loss a few pounds (like 3-4) right before the wedding....no thanks to stupid normal anxiety and stress...but luckily it was always soooo fitted that it didnt make a difference visually, but i could feel it! Here's the dress the day of!

HI! Actually you should decide at least a few weeks before the wedding if you want to have a cocktail hour or not.....just because locations get booked quickly.....are you having a beach reception? Ours was on the beach and we had the cocktail hour near the reception area......we had o'dvrs and drinks served during this time! Basically whatever they wanted to drink they got! it was totally worth the money to pay and it felt like the "reception" was longer since everyone was launging around.....I just feel like waiting until you get there to decide or not is added stress......

Hey! This actually was loud! because he does it in the podium (where people do the readings) so there is a microphone.....it worked out perfectly! and didn't sound cheesy at all!

OH Girl, they're going to LOVE IT!!! we had people who were "NOT GOING TO LEAVE THE RESORT" and the absolutely LOVED it in cancun and LEFT The resort numerous times.....It's a different story once everyone gets there and experiences it for themselves.....everyone kept thanking us for inviting them....and we all want to go back next June!
