We are having a DJ for the wedding but are making an IPod shuffle for our beach bbq. We bought a few cds from Putumayo World Music (www.putumayo.com). Super cool cds with a chill feel. The company is great. They shipped the cds and living in a apartment, someone must have swiped the box. They resent them to us with no problem at all.

We are doing about 1:30 of "I'll be There" by the Jackson 5 and then we will be cutting into a salsa dance for about another 1:30 of "El Preso" by Fruko y Sus Teso. We are still working on learning our salsa dance. A minute 30 seconds sounds really short but is hard to perfect it. Nobody knows we will be doing this so I'm super psyched to see our guests expressions.

I am planning on getting snacks at Walmart on the way from the airport to the resort. I am hoping they have snack packs of pretzel, chips, etc since there isn't an option for late night snacks. There also is a liquor store right by Walmart so planning on getting some stuff to keep in the penthouse for late night gatherings.

I just went to Harmons in Bed Bath and Beyond and found a box of 12 individually wrapped Off wipes ($4.99 clearance) and Off wipes with deet ($5.79). You can also use coupons.

I just register my bags. They are thin but I expected that for the price. I took them to a local company for screenprinting...$2 a bag plus a $25 set up fee. A friend created themimage for me. I will post a picture when they are finished.

So excited to have the Penthouse for our stay during our wedding!! I think it is larger than my aparmtent.

Did you purchase the totes on line or call? I've tried calling numerouse times and only get a recording saying no one is available. How quickly did you receive them after placing the order? Good luck finding a place for the screen printing. Defn shop around. I found a place in NJ doing it for $2 a bag and a $25 set up fee...not too bad.

I'm not sure it is the best to travel with a 5 week old but my sister will be bringing my 3 year old niece and 6 month old niece. She is not concerned at all about flying or travelling with a newborn. Just come prepared with enough formula, etc and they should be fine.

We are planning on doing an OOT bag but I also thought of giving each couple/guest a picture frame with a cute saying about memories are made and can be remember with a photo from the wedding weekend. Our photographer will be there for at all wedding events (beach BBQ, wedding, brunch) and he will also take some candid shots throughout the days. I thought it would be cute to send our Thank Yous with a picture of the guest from our wedding. Thoughts? Any suggestions on where to find a simple (not a themed) frame? I saw some at IKEA but they were all frames that held odd sized pictures.

We have a 5 year difference, me being the older. He jokes that I'm the cougar but I don't think most people can tell I'm that much older. I can still hang!

Unfortunately, my future MOH did not like the idea of not doing a program so I guess I have no choice but to waste my time and money!

After reading all of these posts, I am definitely leaning towards no program. We do not have a bridal party at all and my parents are divorced and I cringe at the thought of how to word everything. I only worry about what my FI's mother would like since she tends to be on the more traditional.

hi Buggle You will need to contact them or maybe a previous bride can give you that information. In the contract, it states if you provide this information to anyone else, the contract can be terminated. Give them a call to get some quotes or call a TA.

Hi Ladies, I just saw in Self Magazine a picture that looked very familiar. It is a picture from the pool to the ocean from Ceiba. You can win $3000 to use at Ceiba del Mar by signing up for Jillian's Jump Start plan (from the biggest loser show). For food, we are doing different types of bbq skewers. For the reception we stuck with a basic chicken, fish, and steak meal. All guests will get a salad and also have a ceviche or tortilla soup. I did like the food but I thought that at times they tried too hard. For example, the chicken comes with a sauce and there was just way too much sauce on it. We still didn't make any cake decisions yet. NYC girls- how did you love that expect 6 to 8 inches which turned into 19 inches!? I loved seeing people leap across slush puddles or step in them up to their ankles in not-so-appropriate shoes.

We met with DJ Omar when we did our site visit and another DJ. A girl that I spoke to also used DJ Omar and really liked him. We haven't been in contact with him since June but I want to touch base with him over the next few weeks. ( [email protected] Omar Bautista Figueroa ) We were going to use Pam Lopez as our minister but we are now using my FI's uncle. We are doing the legal ceremony before we go to Mexico. Quite a few people have used her and her English is perfect and very sweet from what I hear. I definitely plan on slipping up anything that I am taking with family members! Yes, the rain has definitely helped to melt some snow but now they are calling for more Thursday into Friday. I live across from Manhattan and parking on the street is a nightmare. I parked ontop of a snow pile yesterday and couldn't get my car out. Some guy was nice to help me get out!
