Hey girls!! I have 7 Riviera Maya OOT bags left over that were made using vistaprint and just weren't used. Vistaprint still has this design and you can definitely make more of these exact bags free using their site if you need more than the 7 I have. I also have a pair of Bachelorette flip-flops that were never worn (would fit size 8 - 8 1/2). All are free to a good home, I am just asking for shipping costs to be covered!

Yes!!! That is the TA's job!!! I didn't deal with bookings AT ALL. My passport invites included the TA's info, and that was that. I know how you girls feel with stressing about who has booked and who hasn't, and all I can say from going through it, it really is true that the people who are going to book will book, and the people who are not really going to book will tell you until they are blue in the face that "they will"...but they won't. You can't waste your planning time worry about who might or might not come. I know that is SO much easier said than done, but we had family that promised they would be there, and weren't. You really have to be able to face that with a DW (I know that seems so mean!!). Regardless of whether you have 20 or 60 people, you will have the time of your life. I did, and I'm still wishing we were back there with the exact people who went with us EVERY day!!! Enjoy your planning ladies, and definitely leave the booking to the TA!! ) -
Well, I sort of sabataged it myself lol I thought it would be a nice touch to use sand from mexico, and I didn't even think to realize that real sand has coral pieces in it lol...so mine clogged at the ceremony because my funnel was too small. hahaha....nice memory to have, we will definitely laugh at that for years to come. Having said that, we did finish it back at the room and it came out perfect ) It traveled great because I kept it in my carry on bag and made sure it stayed upright. If you buy the sand, you definitely won't have any problem at all!! If you are worried about the traveling, stuff the top with paper until you get it home. Once your home, make sure you give it time to settle. You may need to add more sand before you 'plug' it up. My father put a wood plug in the top and used wood putty to even it off and then he painted it black. You can't even tell it use to have a hole in the top!

There are a few actually...I actually was going to sell them to one of them, but after our reception I just couldn't do it. We wanted to have them as a keepsake for our wedding. I did send them links, but they are more expensive then I think they really want to pay right now. I paid over $40 for mine, but it was worth it. Everyone loved them and we did too!

Trash the Dress
jszy10 replied to DWBride615's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Honestly, if it is under your control, I would definitely choose chiffon over anything else. Once I was soaked, I could just imagine how heavy other dresses would be!! The chiffon stuck to my legs and made it a little difficult to walk at times in the sand, but if I was in a heavier fabric it could have been MUCH worse. -

A little hard to see, but looks like it would work good! If its something you can choose, chiffon is definitely the way to go! Having had a trash the dress session, I couldn't imagine anything heavier!! -
Sorry I've been MIA ladies...got married a few weeks ago ) I am HOPING to start my 2nd round of P90X next Monday!!! A co-worker has my copies, and I've been all but begging her to meet up so I can get them back :oP Sharon: DEFINITELY don't worry about any 2-3lb gain. I freaked (maybe in week 2-3?) after gaining like 3 lbs, and then read on the beach body forum that it is normal because of muscle inflamation. Once you get a little further in, your muscles should get a little more use to it and the fluxuation should stop. Mandy -- Yoga IS torture :oP Towards the end my friend and I started subbing it out too. All I can try to suggest, is that in the beginning, TRY to fight out at least the first 1/2 of the video. In this program Tony stresses the importance of Yoga in the routine, and even suggests you do it at least once a week after the program is over. There is definitely a reason that pro sports players even go to yoga! (I had eagles players show up to a class I was at in Philly one time). I have a firm belief that a lot of yoga lies in your head. I'm guilty of this too!!! .. but if you start yoga out with the "I really dont want to do this" attitude, it is going to be torture and feel like its lasting forever. If its honestly something you hands down do NOT want to do or do not enjoy though, definitely substitute something! Working out in general is better than never at all, right!? ) Great just on sticking it out so far ladies!! Hope to be joining you soon!

Hey Ladies, I have been back from my wedding/honeymoon now for almost 2 1/2 weeks and am officially ready, after trying multiple times to give this company the opportunity to respond to my 'issues', to air my grievances. Let me start out by saying, that we decided early on that we wanted to give our fathers and groomsmen an 'experience' as their wedding gift, rather than something material. Seeing as my husband, our fathers and a lot of the groomsmen enjoy fishing, we knew we wanted to pay for a private charter for them to go on a deep sea fishing trip. I had quite a bit of communication early on with Glen Turbeville, the captain at Tequilla Sunrise, and was feeling very comfortable with their company. As soon as we sent in our deposit, communication abruptly ended. I had to email him multiple times in order to get him to state that he DID receive our deposit. As the trip approached, I emailed him at least a 1/2 dozen times, trying to confirm our trip with him, as well as the transportation he promised us. Finally, a few days before our wedding day, I heard back. Everything was set and ready to go (they were going the morning of our wedding). Glen set up roundtrip transportation to pick the guys up at our resort and bring them back after the trip for $40 total. I will get back to our issue with how this ended up in a minute. As for the trip, I was very clear before I booked their trip that my husband did NOT want to troll fish (the boat never stops), he wanted to bottom fish (where the boat goes out into the water and stops). When I asked if this was a possibility, Glen told me, and I quote "Of course! Any type of trip you prefer. Thanks, Glen". It wasn't until they were out on the water that they found out they would in fact be troll fishing, not bottom fishing as we had reserved. When my husband told them about our previous communication about this, Glen replied "oh, I get so many emails, I usually just delete them" (which would explain why I had to email him sometimes 3 or 4 times before getting a reply) and then proceeded to say that they were already out on the water and that there was no way they could bottom fish. Now here they are, stuck on a boat for 4 hours, on a fishing trip that none of them are going to really enjoy. Because of the type of fishing they ended up with, only two of the guys the entire trip got to touch a fishing rod...Imagine the experience with a 4 hour fishing trip and 9 guys. Not to say they didn't have on OK time, they caught two fish (hence the two guys who got to touch a fishing rod..with this type of fishing they don't hand you the rod unless there is a fish to reel in). We were just very upset that we spent that much money on a gift that we don't really feel like ended up a gift at all (. As for the transportation, the boat ended up arriving back at the port about 15-20 minutes later than originally planned (obviously not our guys' fault!?), and upon arrival back at our resort, Glen's driver, Mr. Cruz, grabbed my husband by the arm and told him that he owed him more money because he had to wait for them...and he wouldn't let him go until he handed him another $20. Not at all an experience he wanted to have now just a few hours before our wedding!!! All in all, I picked this company because their prices seemed the most affordable. As far as cost, spend the extra $50 or so to go with another company. I know that there at least a few others to chose from. FYI -- this is the website of this company, so that you know what to avoid -- http://www.chartermexico.com/

Hey girls!! I bought this dress for a "trash the dress" session in Mexico, and after having it cleaned it is just like new! I purchased it in a size 8 and had it sized down to a 4/6 (height 5'5). It is nice, light and flowy! Perfect for a beach wedding, reception and/or TTD session!

Hey hun! I just realized no one ever answered you!! (I never saw your post :oP) I believe your mom is probably the one who messaged me on facebook about a few things though, so hopefully my answers there helped too. 1 -- as far as non-windy goes, I think it really depends on the day!?! It was windy for my cocktail party and it was windy for my ceremony, but it wasn't a hindering wind. I wouldn't worry too much about it, but instead just prepare for it? 2 -- I wouldn't worry about the heat either. I was married at 5pm in JUNE, which is definitely a little worse than May, and even in my big wedding gown, the head didn't cripple me in the least. If you get married in one of the gazebos, you won't be in the sunlight anyway, so that will help. I thought that getting married at 5pm was perfect for pictures afterwards too. The sun sets behind the building, so you don't have to worry too much about it being in your face. 3 -- I'm not sure that anyone here had an inside reception, but it is definitely possible. My only advice is to keep an open mind and realize where you are -- in gorgeous mexico with a beautiful view...you may not want to miss this as a part of your reception? -

Hey girls...another small yet hopefully helpful piece of advice... If you are doing the civil ceremony (ie. getting married legally in MX), I do suggest paying the fee to get a translated copy of your certificate while you are there. When Wilma told me that I could wait and get a copy later (once I'm home) and find out I need one, I told her I would hold off...instead of paying for something I wasn't sure if I needed. Turns out, my DMV won't take the spanish version and I do need a translated copy. While at the resort, the copy cost $45....while in the US, they charge $45 PLUS a $65 shipping fee!!!! I had to pay a local translation company $75 here to get a translated copy instead :oP. I thought I would save money and ended up spending almost double. bummer!!! -
Hey Ladies!! The site isn't allowing me to update my ad, but the only items still available are my TTD and the wire placecard holders. The white lanterns and wristlet are pending. I do have a white bride tank top available that was not originally listed that I will sell for $5. Here are two pics to help give you an idea of what to expect (sorry not the best): here is the transfer I used, since the "e" is cut off of the picture:
