  1. Thank you! (if that was directed at me?) I do too!! I ordered it from "beibei.2010" .. She has it up for sale now at $108.00 - free shipping. You can have it corset back or zipper. She also has many other designs. She has great reviews, so I decided to go for it. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/Chiffon-Beach-Sweetheart-Bridal-Wedding-Dress-Gowns-/190428383939?pt=Wedding_Dresses
  2. I just purchased my TTD knock-off dress...I found it on ebay for $100 - free shipping. I ended up ordering it because there were other girls who left good reviews for it, and I emailed one of them just to make sure it lived up to the picture, and she said it did. They custom make the dress to exactly your measurements -- so that was nice. I chose a corset back, so that will help make sure it fits good too. I can't wait for it to come it. Here is what it looks like...I will share the real thing when it comes in!!
  3. She is actually going to have "shout" coupons for $2 off 2 any day now that can be used on travel shout wipes too!!!! I got one in my sunday newspaper today!!
  4. Ooooh...I have been putting my FI's name first for everything...I guess I just always thought the guys name went first :oP Good to know!
  5. Proctor and Gamble has a coupon out now for $3 off 3 of their choice products -- one of them being their Johnson and Johnson First Aid red cross travel kits!! These kits retail at $.99, which means with the coupon, you can get 3 kits for FREE!! The coupon was featured in last weeks PGSaver newspaper insert. My friend (who is a coupon QUEEN has already purchased her 3 for free!) I didn't get the newspaper, so I missed out on it, but my friend shared a website where you can purchase multiples of these coupons for $.20 a piece! If anyone wants to use this coupon site themselves, here is the link! If anyone is interested in sharing, let me know! http://www.couponsthingsbydede.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=Band%2DNeo%2DPur%5F454%5FG1S&CartID=1
  6. thanks so much for sharing!! and FYI: I did find out that the resort photographer charges $160 an hour for additional photography time, so if you would like a TTD session (we am doing one the day after our wedding) those would be his rates. Also, if you purchase a disc of pictures, he will include those photos on the disc.
  7. knitgirl -- I'm SO sorry you are dealing with that ( especially because of your mom not being able to make it...
  8. I hear you!!! I can't trash mine because I'm having an AHR that I will be wearing it for...I actually just bought a second dress for $100 that I am going to wear for dinner and dancing (after the ceremony and pictures -- so that I can keep it nice for the AHR) and am going to wear that dress for my TTD the next morning. I showed a bunch of my girlfriends my dress last night and everyone was raving about how gorgeous it was...I'm starting to feel better )
  9. I'm actually buying this knock-off for $100...there are a few good reviews for this exact dress from happy clients.. http://cgi.ebay.com/Chiffon-Beach-Sweetheart-Bridal-Wedding-Dress-Gowns-/190415622127?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Wedding_Dresses&hash=item2c55a7cfef
  10. ahh!!! I think the first is more elegant, but the second is more fun!! You do look great in both...I think my vote is for the second! Good luck! Let us know which one you pick!
  11. Ok, so I'm looking around for a 2nd dress to wear for dinner and dancing -- which I will then wear for TTD the day after our wedding -- and I'm finding beautiful dresses for a fraction of the cost. Now given, I didn't spend like 10 grand on a dress, but I did spend over 1100 (which where I grew up is pretty unheard of for a dress -- all of my friends and sister in law didn't pay over 500). As I'm looking at dresses online I said to my FI, "maybe I shouldn't have spent over 1000 for my dress...". Now of course, we have already paid a $700 deposit and I absolutely love my dress, but part of me is just feeling guilty and kind of stupid for buying a more expensive dress. Especially one that is more a traditional wedding gown instead of a destination gown. Anyone else ever feel this way sometimes??? I think part of me is a little worried about money and budget too, which doesn't help Butttt...I am wearing it for my ceremony and pictures in Mexico, and again at my AHR...so I'm getting more use than most brides. Ahhh!! Hate this feeling... :oP
  12. Ok, this thread is almost a year old, but I had to bring it back....I'm feeling this exact way too!! Everytime I see my FI's dad he says to me "Why do you have to get married in Mexico!?!" ... and I'm not exagerating when I say EVERY time I see him. I have a few important family members who tell me they're not coming also ( It does make me feel like i'm being selfish..even though it is something my FI and I talked about before we were even engaged...this is a tough thing to struggle with. On top of it...my great aunt, who is very strict catholic, the minute I told her we were having a DW tells me my wedding isn't going to be real because it's not in a church! Now of course, I tried not to take offense to that, because it is her strict religious belief...but she then tells me "you know your grandfather won't go or approve" -- and I actually don't think he is going. All in all, my FI and I are SO excited to get to Mexico and be married, but this is definitely something I struggle with too.
  13. Melli: omg, I love that dress!! I tried that on and thought I looked like a greek goddess ) It's so elegant on!
  14. ) I got yelled at by my friends all the time for taking it off so much!! I used to take it off for almost everything..even to sleep (I think because I wasn't used to it). Now I just take it off when I shower, am lotioning or messing with food :oP

  16. Yes I KNOW there are TTD forums all over, but I am looking for everyone to share their favorite TTD pics -- whether they are yours, or ones you have found online!! I am sure I'm not the only one looking for inspiration!! A lot of the links I have found are broken or no longer available, lets start this back up again!!!
  17. I am actually buying a bridesmaid dress in white to use for TTD...bridesmaid dresses are much cheaper than bridal gowns!!
  18. Valentine_Baby -- I actually read on here alot about people who use their business cards for key holder tags! Go for it!
  19. This sounds like me and my FI!! Within an hour of getting the keys, we ripped out the kitchen and started renovating the whole thing! In the first year and 1/2 we redid the kitchen, finished the basement, built a 1/2 bath, redid the upstairs bath, ripped up the carpets and refinished the original hardwood and painted all three bedrooms. I'm in the process of picking paint colors for the dining room and kitchen now! (I've actually painted them several times and hated everything!!)
  20. awesome, thanks!! I see his company show up on a lot of different websites, so I'll bet they're good. It's good to know that their prices will be going up!
  21. Skadow: Can you share the ones that you found!?!? My FI is getting a charter for him, his GM and both our fathers for the morning of the wedding. I have been looking around to get some prices for our budgeting, and these are the companies we found so far: (of course I don't know anything about the companies, so I would love to hear some feedback as well) 1. Capt Ricks -- I see this one pop up a lot -- http://www.fishyucatan.com/ 2. http://www.cancun-discounts.com/tours/riviera-maya/sportfishing.htm 3. http://www.cancun-fishing.net/fishing_puertoaventures.htm I hope this helps??? I'd love to see if you found any others too!
