We didn't do the norm....we sent a save the date as soon as we had our date confirmed by the resort (just an announcement of our DW) and just a week ago -- about ten months out -- we sent our passport invitations with all booking details and a response postcard. We will then send out pre-travel brochures about 2 weeks before. I think it is really all in how you want to let people know and when!

Are the keys for the rooms swipe cards?? I was thinking about making key holders but one bride said some resorts have actually keys with something attached that wouldn't fit in them.

Thank you!! The supplies for these probably cost me around $30. I paid $10 for the template (best money I have ever spent!!), around $15 for the cover card stock, and $5 for a corner round punch. I used a nicer printer paper for the inside pages that we already had. Â You can definitely do this!!! Aylee's template looks just like this, I just added the pictures and text and changed the title background color to orange! Here are some things to help you get started... The promotion states on the website that it is good if you book by November 30, 2010 and travel through December 23, 2011. Â Â The woman I spoke to to get the spa/salon menus told me that it is strongly encouraged to book your spa/salon appointments BEFORE you go, because of how busy it is with the 1500 promotion. Welcome!!!! Reading the entire thread can be overwhelming...I thought it was worth it though -- definitely time consuming!! Â A lot of girls have just gotten a guest pass for photographers and been fine. I had a travel agent find out about my date, but it still took quite a few days to find out. I'm sure you will be fine, especially this far out! I worried too about my date being available, and I was about as far out from my date as you are now! They do open up dates to a few brides, so even if someone else has you're date, you should still be fine to get it. I wouldn't worry. Â I have the spa and beauty salon price lists. I'm planning on using the harpist too! I am almost positive that you don't need a playlist for the ceremony if you are hiring music because they will play during those times. However, if you are getting a DVD, I read that you should probably have music for that.

You are exactly right. I feel bad for saying, but who is she to contest anything. I can't BELIEVE she said the part about "no one should have a wedding if they can't afford..." OMG!!!!! I'm fuming! lol I think you should stick to your guns...in reality, if she's causing these problems now, you don't want that at your wedding or on your trip in general. I'm sorry you're going through this though. Stay strong!!

I am trying to decide whether or not it is worth it to buy the supplies and make room key holders for my guests. I was wondering if any previous brides here had any advice from their experiences?? I don't want to waste the time and money if they'll go unused?

Thank you! For corners I purchased a basic corner round punch at AC Moore. You can buy them at any craft store. I bound the pages with a ZIG brand glue pen, and the pages to the cardstock with a card making glue (it was stronger than the zig pen for holding better). We are doing these!! They are made by Kate Aspen and come in "Mix & Mingle Key Lime Margarita Mix" and "Razzle Dazzle Raspberry Iced Tea Mix" and "Main Squeeze Lemonade Mix". We are actually doing the lemonade mix and trading the red umbrellas for orange because our colors are yellow and orange! You can find them as cheap as $2, depending on the # you need. My resort won't allow me to send anything to them, so I'll be taking some in my suitcase, my FI's, my parents, etc. and with all of us taking carry ons, we should be fine. good luck!
