  1. I know which one your talking about but I can't think of it. I do have: instead of tapping on your glass, stand and shake with all your might, to see the groom kiss his bride tonight or shake this and the bride and groom will kiss Oooh I think the "stand and shake with all your might, to see the groom kiss his bride tonight" is part of it! I can definitely at least use that! I swear there was an intro to that about a mexican tradition..!?!
  2. Hey ladies!! For the LIFE of me I cannot seem to find the template I wanted for my Maraca favors! I know that I saw them on the forum that had a tag stating something along the lines of "A mexican tradition..." and explained how you should shake them for the bride and groom to kiss!?! The only one I could find after an hour of searching was the basic "Shake for Kiss". Anyone know what I'm looking for!?!?! Even if someone can remind me what the saying is, I can make them myself! ) Help Please!!
  3. Nicole, thank you so much for sharing your pictures! I look forward to reading your review!! How did you give out your OOT bags? I'm trying to decide whether to do it at the welcome cocktail party or have them delivered to the rooms.
  4. Yes, you can edit/move/remove/etc. anything you want. I removed some things, changed the colors, etc. to personalize mine they way I wanted. Good luck!!
  5. Oh Nicole!! Your pictures and wedding are absolutely stunning!! Congratulations, you were a beautiful bride! I look forward to hearing your review and seeing your planning thread!!
  6. Good luck Erika!! Wishing you safe travels and an amazing wedding!!!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you come back!
  7. I am!! What is great about their registry is that Palace Resorts will just give you all of the money when you get there and in the end you can choose how you use it!
  8. Hey ladies!! Just a thought... I think I'm going to go the cheaper route and purchase individual vases for my sand ceremony. At Michael's Craft Store they have vases that look exactly like the ones in the sand ceremony kits for between 1.99-4.99 a piece! You can use glue/tissue paper/corks to stuff the vases. It is definitely the cheaper route, AND you can pick out exactly which vases you want to use! The 40% off coupons will make this even cheaper!
  9. What I did was sent out the STD about 14 months out, to let people know we were having a Destination Wedding, and then sent out all of the booking information at around 11-12 months out. We didn't do a group booking for airfare -- I have heard its really not that big of a discount anyway? My TA just got a group contract created with the resort for room discounts and my guests are booking through her individually. Does that make sense!?!? I hope this helps a little?
  10. I just made my own magnet STD's when we first decided when and where we were getting married. I actually sent out my invitations about 10-12 months in advance with the booking information. I'm not sending out an invitation like most do 2 months before. I'll be sending out my AHR invites then.
  11. Have a great time Erika!!!! Congrats!! We can't wait to see pics and hear about everything when you return!
  12. OMG NICOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I kept forgetting exactly what day it was!! See time flies, because I thought you still had like 3 of 4 more days!! I don't think you'll get this in time but good luck!! Your wedding will be absolutely beautiful!! We can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!!
  13. I made my own Passport Invites! You can check them out here -- http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/63119/my-diy-passport-invites I purchased Aylee's template for $10, and it was definitely totally worth it. I ended up making 25 invites for less than $30. Here is the link for the template -- http://www.ayleebits.com/2009/03/09/passport-invitation-template/ . She also offers a free one if you didn't want to pay. and there are definitely other templates on the site, I just wanted something more professional looking with the passport background. Good luck!! If you need help, let me know!!
  14. My photographer actually has a list on his website of the requirements -- http://www.octaviomontes.com/doctos/Wedding%20%20Legal%20Requirements.pdf -- but it should also be in the document that the WC sent you about your wedding. The PA site says the processing time is 7-10 days?? I think you should be fine!!
  15. Sara ***REQUIREMENTS FOR LEGAL MARRIAGE FOR BRIDE & GROOM*** (Applicable for civil marriage only) 1. Certified copy of Birth certificate legalized *It must be authenticated with the "Apostille stamp" I just information on how to obtain one on my state's Department of Health website! If you wanted to check it out, where is PA's -- http://www.portal.health.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt/community/birth_certificates/14121
  16. Wow..that is rediculous! Can you let us know what you find out about limo prices?? Did she say that you could use your vacation dollars on the limo!?!
  17. Nice!! I have met two others on here from the philly area as well, one from the same town as me!! (AND the other three of us are getting married that the same resort!)
  18. Sara, someone on here said it cost her family around $106 a night to upgrade.
  19. You can use vacation dollars for limos I believe. That would actually be really fun!! I think 6-7 sounds good for the cocktail party, thanks.
  20. -How long is the ceremony (usually)? A typical ceremony lasts about 30 minutes -What do we do after the ceremony? We are doing pictures and then dinner (some are adding a cocktail party in between) My schedule is 5:00pm wedding, 6:30pm dinner -What are those OOT bag and what to put in them? OOT BAGS!! ) They are gift bags that you put together as a thank you to your guests for coming. So far mine have t-shirts, cooling spray, flip flop playing cards, Oh Sh!t kits - tissues, antibaterial, shout wipes, and Recovery Kits - tums, tylenol, pepto, gum, etc. My totes are from VistaPrint (if you sign up for the their email lists you get tons of stuff fo free!). I also go free personalized note pads, pens, and the t-shirts. (there are plenty of pics of OOT bags, recovery kits and Oh Sh!t kits on here) -What should i expect from the wedding coordinator? If it is anything like my resort, you should expect slow communication at first! The WC will basically keep track of everything you want and where you want it, will give you all of the details you need to know, and will make sure your wedding runs perfect! Hope this helps you!! and congrats!! You will LOVE this site...I was so excited when I stumbled upon it too!!
  21. haha Liz I love it...and I hear you!!! Where in Philly are you from!?! I love 5 minutes outside the airport area
  22. I am in the same boat!! There are vases that come with corks, and the picture frame ones also have tops to them. I am leaning towards the picture frame! I am not sure about the carry-on situation. Here are a few I've found to give you examples: Corked vases: http://www.ezpartyzone.com/pd-sand-pouring-ceremony-set-decanters.cfm http://compare.ebay.com/like/370422049074?ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&rvr_id=158593429277&crlp=1_263602_304662&UA=WXI8&GUID=8196c87e12b0a47a4497cd37ffe3bbca&itemid=370422049074&ff4=263602_304662 http://www.amazon.com/Personalized-Unity-Ceremony-Contempo-Style/dp/B003EG3SOM http://www.allforyourwedding.com/heart-shaped-unity-sand-ceremony-set-wedding-p-2145.html?zenid=791526f9d236c2f4062f28c775fb44fe Frame: http://www.myspiritualwedding.com/product/169417.shtml?utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=googlebase&utm_campaign=googlebase&utm_content=169417
