I remember when I was in Ocho Rios I purchased a few smaller bottles of Appleton as gifts and I feel like I remember them being around $6-8...but there were definitely bottles smaller than the ones I purchased, so I wouldn't guess any more than $5?

Thank Tammy! I've been told this before ) 95% of the time this is my thought!

I think the water bottles and candy would be your favor, so that makes sense! Our OOT bags are going to have t-shirts, flip flop cards, bath and body works cooling mist, "oh shit" kits with shout wipes, bandaid kits, tissues, etc., personalized note pad and pen, and a few more little things I can't remember...

Thank you SO much!! The postcards were actually FREE from Vistaprint, I just paid approx. $6 shipping for 100. If you go to Vistaprint and sign up for their email list, you will receive emails every day about free products. If you want to make the passports, and you need some direction, I would definitely suggest purchasing Aylee's template for $10. It was the best money I spent throughout the process. You can find it here -- http://www.ayleebits.com/2009/03/09/passport-invitation-template/ . If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Thanks hun. I actually wanted to do that :bride/groom section and he said "no way" haha, so we don't have one. It is actually wierd that he voices his opinion on sometimes the wierdest things. Like, whenever the mood strikes I guess. The only real big thing that he voiced his opinion about what that as soon as he knew I could show up in a horse and carriage, it was all he wanted. and now its the "I picked that, you pick everything else". Most of the time I do have the "I should be happy, I can pick whatever I want" attitude, but sometimes it does get to me. I have told him, but he stays strong with the "I told you all I want to do is show up, you take care of the rest". When it comes down to it, I honestly think he really does believe that this is the woman's day, and since he doesn't care about the small things, I should pick what I want. I think which my personality type that is just hard for me sometimes.

Thanks! I'm actually doing Maraca's (with the cute kiss tag) for my AHR favors!! I just ordered them the other day actually from amols!

Hey girls!! Ok, so maybe I'm a little emotional because its about my time of the month..but I got really upset tonight over maybe the littlest thing. Tonight we were laying in bed and I brought up to my FI about him needing to set aside time to go register for some things with me. Right away he rolled over and said his good night and I was like "This isn't all just for me, its for you too. It's for us." His reply is that "it IS all for you" (meaning me) -- and that was that. Now i'm up out of bed because I can't sleep because I'm really bummed about the fact that he really hasn't helped me with anything so far. While on some level I feel like some brides would be THRILLED that their FI doesn't "care" about what colors you pick or what centerpiece you want or what pans you want to register for, I really DO care and I really DO want him to be involved. Am I alone here!? I have no doubt that this has absolutely no reflection on how he feels about me or the wedding, I KNOW he wants to marry me and I know he's excited about the wedding, he just has no opinions about anything relating to it. His words to me on multiple occasions -- "I just want to show up..." Maybe I should stop worrying or caring so much, but its hard for me! I just want everything to be perfect for us but he doesn't want to help with anything! (

Those are good ideas, thanks! I really like the mexican wedding cookie idea! I'm sure someone from the resort could point me in the right direction for that!

What did you end up getting!?! I'm curious what's out there! I don't want anything alcohol related -- no shot glasses, wine stoppers...neither of our parents drink.

Alisa: How are Gonzalo's prices!? He does have beautiful work! I'm doing my own silk flowers and giving them to my bridesmaids to pack with them! Especially since I am also having an AHR, I can't see spending the money on fresh flowers...twice! I am going to make my own bouquet too I think because Shalanda (sgray) did that and she got a beautiful flower piece for her alter in the place of her free bouquet! -

Yep, I'm just putting them on my outside guest list. I'm not even going to tell them I'm hiring an outside photographer, I'm just going to add him to the list and pay for his day pass. I've heard they don't ask any questions, so I'm going with that. Did you decide who you are going with yet!? I'm going with the a la carte option with my wedding as well. We are just paying for the carriage and harpist! -

Thanks for the feedback! I actually went to see your pics and it says I am not on the "member list" to view it...would you mind if I took a look at them?? I actually clicked on the "ask to be added" link, so maybe you just have to OK me looking!? Quote: Originally Posted by Sweetthang247 Hello! jszy10 replied to jszy10's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Hey girls!! Just an FYI...the original coupon IS expired, BUT there is a new one out that is almost as good! There is now a $1.50 off two Johnson & Johnson red cross products, which would make them $.24 a piece! Head over here -- http://hip2save.com/2011/01/0-24-johnson-johnson-first-aid-to-go-kits.html -- to read about it and PRINT the coup!!! It is also in TODAYS SmartSource coupon book in the paper. -
We don't have a big group (17 so far), so it wouldn't be expensive. I guess I was just worried about taking one more thing -- we are 5 months away and my FI is already complaining about how much stuff we have to take down with us! lol Maybe I can find something cute in Playa Del Carmen to buy for everyone? That way it could be a nice souvenier of mexico as well?

Hey girls!! Ok, so all along I was thinking because we are doing OOT bags for everyone, that we didn't need actual favors for the wedding day. Now i'm starting to second guess myself. We are giving the OOT bags out during our welcome cocktail party on Thursday night, so that we can really take time to thank everyone for coming. Do we need to give out favors on the wedding day as well? I already bought the favors for my AHR, but haven't given any thought to the wedding itself! What do you think and/or what are you doing!?! Favors...OOT bags...both??

I'm a teacher too!! We are leaving the day after school lets out too!! I also have a bridesmaid who is a teacher and my mother is also a teacher. It was definitely mandatory for us to pick a date after school was out! Good luck with your planning! Maybe you can check with someone at your school to see if there is something preliminary out?

I know!! That is why I am staying with my photog...the price overall for what he is giving me is much better. My 4 hour session is $799 which includes 110 prints and a CD of all pictures taken and his TTD is only $250 extra -- which includes 35 more prints and all pictures taken during that session as well. -

Hey Alisa! Did you check out Shalanda's (sgray) Aventura pics? She just got married in December and used the resort photog and her pictures were beautiful. I am still going with Octavio Montes because he offers me more for the price, but just an FYI in case you wanted to see current examples. -

The one girl who brought this to my attention happens to be a bridesmaid and is a travel deal seeker just like me. Well it didn't go over too well when we were discussing it yesterday and now there is some tension between us. She also decided to vent and tried to make me feel bad saying she is putting off having a baby because of my wedding and she cant believe that I am asking her to pay more when I know funds are tight right now. Ugghh drama already LOL!! I am so thankful I have you ladies to come talk to. XOXO Wow!!! That is just awful ( I can't believe she would push that on you!! One of my bridesmaids (my sister-in-law) is due about a month before we leave, and I have another girl who was going to be a bridesmaid who can't come because she found out she is due like the week of our wedding. If she wants to get pregnant, GET PREGNANT! lol You CAN be pregnant in Mexico! ) haha I'm thankful I have you all too!! -

I actually only had one couple that mentioned the possibility of booking on their own because they are travel "deal seekers". I was honest with them and told them if they really wanted to book on their own that it would be no problem for them, but that we get benefits for our group booking based on how many people book with our TA -- like the free cocktail hour -- and after explaining that she didn't mind at all booking with my TA. I know it is easier said than done in some cases, but it might be worth a shot? -

Congrats!! I booked Octavio Montes (www.octaviomontes.com). His rates are 650 for 3 hours, 799 for 4 hours and 950 for 5 hours (and $200 for a TTD session). He is the most affordable person I've found. Others are anywhere between $1000 - 2000. La Luna has beautiful photography, as well as DelSol, but they were out of my price range. It depends on what your budget is!
