  1. Ok...so this may not seem so funny to you to start with (especially if your wedding is very close to unprotected waters lol) But my FI found this video and just died laughing....he thinks I should share this with you girls to give you a laugh! and you know years down the road...they will laugh too! but oh my.... http://www.break.com/index/clumsy-best-man-knocks-bride-into-pool.html
  2. Thanks ladies. I know you girls are right! On the positive side, FI went to bed, bath and beyond with me and picked out everything I wanted him to help me with! ) I do think it took me addressing that I was upset for him to realized that he did need to be a little involved. I didn't even ask him to go to the store, it was HIS idea to stop while we were out! I do, in hindsight, appreciate the fact that I can pick everything out that I like/want for the wedding without anyone challenging it!
  3. I certainly didn't use a whole cartridge! I'm not exactly sure how much. Probably not even half?
  4. Oooh! you and Grace13 are getting married at the same resort on back to back nights! ) you two should chat )
  5. It should be up and running again. I did notice a few minute ago it wasn't working, but just clicked on it and got it to come up again! I do have it saved as a PDF on my home computer if you can't get the link to work. Let me know!
  6. I just uploaded one ok. Maybe make sure it is a .jpg format? I am still having trouble with keeping the title of the magazine, but you could just copy/save it from the "headline edit" screen!?
  7. Oh sorry, and here are the folding instructions ) http://www.single-serving.com/phrase_booklets/fold.pdf
  8. Here's the link! http://www.single-serving.com/Spanish/American_Spanish_Phrases-USL.pdf
  9. I designed my gift bags on Vista Print, as well as tshirts, personalized pens and notepads. I am including an "Oh Sh!t" kit (w/ tissues, shout wipes, tums, gum, antibacterial and a first aid kit), a travel nivea lotion and chapstick for the girls, and flip flop playing cards. I think I'm also going to put in a basic spanish booklet (I found a PDF file online for a printable booklet, but its at home - I can send it to any of you if you'd like). I'm not sure what else?
  10. I haven't had problems uploading any pictures. I'm not sure what you mean about posting website links?? I was just typing in the full URL into the text screen and it works fine.
  11. I know what you mean about not wanting to miss out on that. I am having an AHR, so it's not a big deal to me to do it in mexico. I'm not sure if your resort offers this, but ours offers the option of renting an IPod dock and microphone for a fraction of the price of a DJ (ie. $200-300 vs. over $1000!!). Then you could always ask your parent or a friend to introduce your first dance and the other dances!? I think it is all in your preference on if it is worth it for those moments! I can definitely see your point in having one if you aren't having an AHR.
  12. Wow, your invites are amazing! Thanks so much for the instructions on how to make the belly band. I was in need of that for making mine!
  13. Erin, I'm not having a DJ. We are debating on what we want to do for music for our welcome cocktail party, but I have heard of people taking IPod docs and playing a playlist and liking it all the same. We are either going to do that or have a mariaci band? As for our wedding day, we are just planning on going to the 'disco' at our resort for dancing. I am only having 17 guests and am not doing a private reception either (mainly because we are having an AHR a week after we get back, and we need to conserve some money for that PARTY!!) I am having a shower and mine will most likely be in either late April or early May! My sister-in-law (and bridesmaid) is due with their first baby in mid-April, so with her shower next month and the baby doon soon after, I feel like time will fly!
  14. Ooo Lisa you are officially 5 months tomorrow!! When I say 5 months, it still sounds so far! But when I look at my planner, it feels like it will be here before we know it! You sound like you are all set!! I am having my first dress fitting in February most likely! I haven't really had much trouble with The Knot, what are you having problems with?
  15. Hey girls! So I turned a negative into a positive with my resort -- they are about to post 2011 prices for their spa/salon that are upwards of DOUBLE the 2010 prices. They told me if I made my appointments NOW that they would honor 2010 prices, so I did! It actually forced me to plan out my entire wedding day ALREADY, so I am actually even more excited now that I won't have to worry about that later! Our resort is offering up to $1500 in resort credit that can be used towards tour, upgrades and spa services, so I think this is what pushed their prices to skyrocket -- for example, for my girls to get their hair done was going from $42 to $89!!!! So here is my schedule! Hope it helps some of you when you eventually are ready to set yours! 8:00am -- breakfast with my girls (most likely room service because the boys don't leave for their deep sea fishing trip til 8:40ish) 9:00am -- MASSAGE!! I thought it would be really nice to start my day out with a relaxing massage. While I'm in for my massage, the girls are going to take advantage of all of the free services at the spa like the foot whirlpools, hydrotherapy room and things 10:00am -- Mani/Pedi (for me, my girls and the moms) 11:30am -- bridesmaids and moms get their hair done 1:00pm -- head back to the room and most likely order room service for lunch (I'm going to let people serve me all day and milk this! lol) -- plus the guys come back from fishing around 1:30 so I want to make sure I'm back in the room!! 3:00pm -- my bridesmaid/sister-in-law will be begin working on my hair and makeup (she works a spa and is a hair dresser) 4:00pm -- photographer shows up for the finishing of my hair and makeup and getting my dress on!! 5:00pm -- Wedding Time!!
