Hey girls!! I changed my mind on the hair flower i'm going to use, so I am going to sell the one I originally purchased. All together this double-flower clip is about 5-6 inches, so a very nice size. It has an alligator clip on the back that will slide on easily. I will take $15 plus shipping for it.

I am bringing my own chair sashes for the ceremony and my own lanterns to hang in the Pandero Terrace for my cocktail party. I'm doing dinner in one of the restaurants, so no decor needed there!

Thanks girls! I agree!! I bought this up to a co-worker too and she couldn't believe it! haha. She said she had been to one shower like that and it was a baby shower where the girl was about to pop LOL. I'm definitely going to do the norm, and maybe we'll do bingo or something. I'm really not going to worry about anything too much and just let my mom and MOH decide whatever/wherever!

We are having our ceremony at the Coba Gazebo on the cove side. As for the photographer, if you want an outside one you will just list them as an outside guest and pay the $80-some day pass fee. A LOT of the girls on here have dont that and been just fine.

That is what I was thinking!? It feels extremely rude to pretty much imply that I just want your gifts, but I don't want to waste time unwrapping them!?!?! I have been considering having "gifts optional" put on my invitations anyway since I really don't want people who are coming to Mexico to buy me anything... Thanks, I am almost positive I would fee uncomfortable doing that to, and I actually did say that to her with a list of reasons why. I would definitely love to have a signature drink! I am hoping it works out that we can find a location that is alcohol-friendly. My grandparents own an italian restaurant, so I know I could have it there...i'm just not sure if I want to invite some of my family to our own family's restaurant? Seems sort of odd.

Right!?! She is only like a year or two younger than me...but she is very "modern" and outspoken. I love her to death, but she projects a lot of what she would do to my wedding, and I'm a sucker for trying to make everyone happy..which is probably my worst quality, but it will never change. My family would never understand it, and I know that especially since some of these people are only invited to my AHR and not my actual wedding, they are going to want some sort of normalcy and pre-wedding celebration with me. and I definitely believe they are worth every minute of me appreciating their generous gifts! My MOH basically said "look...most people don't go to showers because they LOVE to...but they love you...and they want to celebrate you and your upcoming wedding." and I agree!

Hey girls!! I was talking with one of my bridesmaids today about starting to think about my shower, and she simply replies "Please just promise me you'll do the un-wrapped gifts thing...watching brides open gifts is complete torture!" ... and it sort of made me uncomfortable. I have been to ALL of my friends showers, I KNOW how boring it can be, but she is so set on me doing a "Display Shower" and I am feeling sort of uncomfortable with the whole idea. For those who might be new to this, a display shower is when you ask guests to bring their gifts not wrapped with a card that identifies who it is from, therefore taking away the long process of unwrapping gifts one by one. I think I might hate this idea!?! I sort of feel like then it really does become the whole idea of "ok, bring me gift..don't bother wrapping it...i'll just take it home." Anyway, she asked me to bring it up to my Maid of Honor, but I don't think I really even want to consider it? In addition, she is like dead set that ALL bridals showers need to have alcohol and that she has never been to one that hasn't had it...so she is pushing for that as well. While I have never been to one that has had alcohol, I'm not apposed to having it, but if its in my church, its not possible. So ultimately...I would love your thoughts on the whole concept, but I would also LOVE some other suggestions on how to maybe switch something up from the norm and try to figure out a way to keep everyone entertained throughout the whole party!? Any feedback would be great! Thanks so much!!

Hey girls!! My lounge chair covers came in, so I wanted to let you all know how they are! Well first, they come in a nice plastic zip-up cover with handles. Much bigger than I thought they would be - it comes already set as the carrying bag at 28" wide X 16" tall and offers a nice sized opening to put snacks, magazines, suntan lotion, etc. A nice, durable terrycloth with a cute little fish design on it. (the pink has a darker pink basic fish design on it..gives it a cute beachy feel). I definitely think they are made of good quality and worth the 17.99. Hope this helps!!

and coones..I think you will be very happy with a 5pm wedding if you can get it. You will be able to get some pictures while the sun is starting to set, and your dinner will be at a perfect time.

We won't be seeing each other until the wedding either! He is going to stay in our room and I am going to stay with one of the bridesmaids. He and the guys are all going on a deep sea fishing trip the morning of (yes I know..out on a boat..at sea..before the wedding..maybe not such a good idea LOL!!) and me and all of the girls will be spending the morning at the spa. Luckily I've been told that my resort offers a suite for me and the girls to get ready in, so I plan on being back there before the guys are back from their trip. I think its definitely a nice tradition to keep ) While he is gone i'm going to go into the room and drop of the BD book for his gift so he gets it when he comes back! I think that will be a nice way for him to "see me" before the ceremony ;o)

Thanks. I was talking to my FI the other day about it and he doesn't really think it is worth the money (we were quoted $515). It is only going to be 20 of us there, and it is our welcome party, so the majority of us will be filling the time with talking I feel like. We may just try to do the Ipod thing and hope for the best.

I'm getting married at 5pm. I definitely think if you want light to take pictures after the ceremony that you try for 5 or 6 at the latest? That is all in your preference though!

Noo! I don't think its rediculous!! I love it ) Not that I need more things to add to my to-do list, but i'm going to look into it!

When I redid some of them I still used the glue. I used a special craft/scrapbooking glue pen to glue my pages together. When I glued the pages together and then to the cover, they sometimes stuck together because you are putting glue on the seem and then pressing the pages down. When you put two things together some of the glue spreads, so when you leave them to dry things end up sticking together. I hope that makes sense.

We hung the aisle runner on the wall (not the easiest task!) and projected the image onto it. From there we used a fabric marker to copy the image into the runner. I haven't actually figured out if it will fit or not, but I was kind of hoping that I could put it longways into my biggest suitcase!?!
