Amanda, Nice job on your bags!!! Where did you get the bags from, the dollar tree? I was hoping to find a cheap bag like that for myself. -

Hey girls!! Does anyone have a program that you wouldn't mind sharing with me? I am making a paper fan program but am having a hard time finalizing the information I want to put on it. Any suggestions/examples would be great!! -
My DIY Bouquets and Boutonnieres!

Thanks so much ladies!! It really is an unbelievable savings. Even most silk/real touch flower vendors charge upwards of $40-60 a bouquet...and I spent less than $25 for ALL of them! -

Sorry, just to clarify -- the contract for you to get the benefits is between the TA and the resort, you are technically not involved in that contracting process. She just has to let them know who the contract will be in place for -- you! -

Liza You CAN go through a TA and get the freebies! I did it! You just have to tell your TA that she needs to set up a wedding contract with them. Once the wedding contract between them is in place, every room booked through your TA will count towards the freebies. If your TA is unfamiliar with the Palace Resorts group benefits, give him/her a copy of them, that way he/she knows what you expect in the wedding contract. You could even ask to see it before everyone starts booking. I hope that helps!! -

They look great!!! I can't believe you are 12 days away!!!! and Mia is already gone!! I'm so excited to be able to say that I get married next month! I look forward to hearing all about everyone's experiences. -
I'm worried about the same thing. Not only do the flowers have wires in them, I have straight pins holding my ribbon in place!! I feel like with the crack downs with TSA, if you just get the wrong person, they may refuse it! I'm not sure what I would do if they did?? I like the idea of putting it in the bottom of my dress garment bag though too. Regardless...my aunt works with silk flowers and she said a little hairspray or spray starch and a hair dryer will help to get rid of wrinkles and help you place your pedals the way you want them if they get messed up during travel.

Ahhh!! I got the bouquets and boutonierres done this weekend!! (here is the link if you want to check them out -- http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/72665/my-diy-bouquets-and-boutonnieres) I feel like we are really winding down here ladies!! Less than 8 weeks to go for me, and those of you who go at the beginning of the month are closer to 4-6 weeks away!! I am heading to sephora and/or ulta (suggestions??) this weekend for some makeup trials, and then my shower is the following weekend! I really only have the following left to do: -- finish luggage tags and send them out with pretravel brochures (any suggestions on how far out I should do this??) -- get my FI's suit jacket tailored -- get the bridesmaids shoes dyed -- make/print my fan programs -- have my next dress fitting at the end of the month -

Jess's OOT Bags -- Done! (w/ pics!)
jszy10 replied to jszy10's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Do you mean how long did it take for me to gather everything up? Honestly, I probably started buying things a good 6 months ago. I started early so that I would have time to catch any deals I came across that I thought would be good for the bags. -

Ok girls! Just finished all of my bouquets and boutonnieres and thought I would share! First off, I bought orange and white tiger lilies at the end of spring last year for a super low price at Joann's. I think for all of my AHR centerpiece flowers and bouquet flowers together cost me less than $30!!! So I definitely suggest looking out for sales. I just bought the extra white lilies I needed for my bouquet at Michaels on sale and they were $.89 for a bunch of 6 flowers! Can't beat it! As far as putting them together goes, I just cut the bunches apart, put together the flowers until the arrangement looked nice, and wrapped it with floral tape (AC Moore or any craft store). Then I wrapped white ribbon down the stem and back up (secured at the top before and after the wrap with a plain silver sewing pin). Then I took orange ribbon and cris-crossed it down the stems, tying it in the back on the bottom when I was done. My mom put a little clear elmers glue across the criss-crosses in the back of the bouquet to make sure nothing shifted, and you can't even tell its there. Honestly, there were pretty easy and extremely inexpensive to do myself. Just for the bouquets, I can probably estimate that I paid about $20 to get 5 girls bouquets and my bouquet done -- and I had them all done in a matter of a few hours! and finally....some pics!! ) The girls' bouquets: an upclose of my bouquet (I used some floral pearls and more flowers to accent mine from the girls): For the guys' boutonnieres we just bought a basic boutonniere flower stem at AC Moore for maybe $1 or so, and hot glued white and blue ribbon, the starfish and a bin back on them. The guys are wearing orange shirts, so they should stand out nicely:

Wow, $7 is a bit high. Did you make sure that you had the shipping at "slow". I believe the default is a higher rate? Also, June11Bride is right in that after the initial item, once you begin adding other free things, the shipping rate shouldn't really go up. I go a tote bag, t-shirt, post-it and pen in my order and I know I only paid $4-5 shipping per order -- they do charge you PER order, not combined. Hope that helps?! -
