  1. Thanks Jen...I have done quite a bit of research on both of them today (mostly from trip advisor), and what I can come up with is that Xcaret has a lot of various things to do, but seems more laid back and nature'ish. My FI is really into that stuff -- birds, fish, etc. Xplor seems more active. I love the camera aspect of Xplor -- every helmet has a number/sensor that takes pictures of you all over the resort, and you can buy the who disc of your whole trip/day there for less than $40 a person. A lot of the pictures look like it is a lot of fun. I asked him to look at both websites and he really doesn't care where we go (he wants no part of planning lol). I was first leaning towards Xcaret because I thought he would really want to do the snuba or shark swimming, but now I think I'm leaning towards Xplor?
  2. Oh and one more...does anyone know how far away Senor Frogs is from the resort!?!? A bunch of us want to go there one night together!
  3. Hey girls!! Does anyone here have any or heard any feedback about Xcaret or Xplor? FI and I are trrying to decide which one we want to go to since we won't have time for both!
  4. Hey girls!! My FI and I are trying to decide whether we want to go to Xcaret or Xplor on our honeymoon...any feedback on either or both!?!? They both have great aspects about them, but we know we don't really have time to devote 2 days to go to both! Thanks for the feedback ladies!!
  5. Does anyone here have any knowledge or feedback for XCaret or Xplor? We know we want to go to one of these parks, but aren't sure which one is the best to go to!?
  6. Hey girls!! I purchased this hair flower awhile back and decided not to use it after all. Hoping to get $10 plus shipping.
  7. Ok ladies...got some quick responsed from Yesenia...and since she was on the ball today, I asked her about the limo too lol So here is what I found: Upgrade to ocean view -- approx. $126 a night Upgarde to concierge level -- $150 a night She knows nothing of using the resort dollars for a limo, but she said to check with my WC. On to Wilma! I'll let you know if I have any success.
  8. I'm waiting to hear back from Yesenia about the cost of upgrading rooms with resort dollars...I've been curious how much that runs...
  9. Not sure if I missed this, but did you ever find out any details about using the resort dollars for a limo!?!
  10. Ok ladies!! I'm bringing this back to see if anyone has had any experience with US AIR!?!?!
  11. So if you get a free cocktail party, when will you use it? I'm excited to have mine on Thursday night as a welcome party...that way we can enjoy it with our guests.
  12. I am actually just sending my guests to the main lobby for drinks while they wait...I'm not thrilled about it...but I wanted to have a welcome party, and I didn't want to pay for a private event . Oh well! I have heard from previous brides that it works out fit...and 1/2 of my guests are parents and bridal party anyway..so we'll be keeping them busy with pictures for at least a little while!
  13. Here is a fuzzy cell phone picture of my dress fitting yesterday...maybe you can see what I mean? (sorry the quality is so bad :oP)
  14. oh no..sorry that came out wrong...I'm doing away with a necklace BECAUSE I have a one shoulder on the right of the dress and the hair flower on the left...and with the pearl earrings I'm going to wear, I think its enough!
  15. I think I am the last bride here to leave!!! Time at work is sooo dragging at this point!! (I'm a school teacher..waiting impatiently for summer vaca! lol). We leave exactly 4 weeks from today! I actually really think I only have to print and assemble my programs and welcome books!?! I just ordered welcome tags and placecards from a seller on etsy, so I'm waiting for that to come in. I already packed two carry-on bags (my FI thinks I'm nuts for it)...but I really just wanted to see how much room I still needed. All wedding gifts, decorations and all but the liquids for the OOT bags fit, so we are pretty good to go I think! I'm actually really excited to start packing...I do feel like I may get out my dresses and things soon to see what I have and what I still might need!?! I had my 2nd dress fitting yesterday, and it fits so good!! Just a few little adjustments and it'll be perfect! She didn't get the chance to finish my TTD, so I'll go back mid-June to try everything on one last time and make sure I'm good to go! I also go to try out my jewelry yesterday and realized that the things I was originally going to wear don't really look right. Luckily my bridesmaid has the perfect earrings for me to borrow, and I'm doing away with a necklace because of my one shoulder dress and hair flower (don't want to have too much). I'm also changing the shoes I was going to wear to something I already owned...go figure!
  16. You're welcome! I am only do 1 bag per room. I would say if the people staying are a couple, that is definitely the way to go! They really don't need to two of everything. Even for the 1 girls room and 1 guys room I'm only doing 1 bag, I'm just adding two of a few things instead of just one.
  17. You can actually do your cocktail hour whenever, but I think 4:30 or 5pm would be perfect. The ceremony will most likely be over by 5:30, but if you want some people to stick around awhile for pictures, you may want to lean towards 5-6pm. I am actually doing my cocktail hour as a welcome party on a Thursday night.
  18. I think it depends on how many guests you have...but I already packed two carry-ons with some gifts, decorations and OOT bags. My FI will take one and my best friend is taking the other. If we need a third, her husband will take one too. I am just saving all of the liquids that can't go in a carry on to squeeze in our luggage. I have also heard of people delivering them before they leave for the trip, but that wasn't something I wanted to budge on. :oP It is definitely a pain, but if it came down to it I think its worth the extra money to even check one more bag as luggage. I have also heard NOT to ship. Good luck!!
  19. You can buy them on ebay and amazon! Just search for "resealable badge holder".
  20. No specific paper...I just used regular cardstock. The only thing I would not suggest is using their business card size...they are too small.
  21. Hey girls -- this is to past brides... Have any of you went on the vacation dollars tours? I know we've talking about ziplining (won't be doing that) and the dolphin swim (definitely doing this!), but did anyone go to any of the ruins, water park or Isla Mujeres? I am curious about how long these tours are and what they are like. Thanks!!
