  1. Hey Vannessa!! I can say nothing but great things about Octavio!! He was an absolutely pleasure to work with and he gave us amazing pictures!!! Can you view these albums below?? They are of our wedding and TTD session! For our wedding shots he rolled up his pants and climbed in the water, he climbed ladders and rocks...and he drove us to and from the beach on our TTD session. He went above and beyond, and he always gets your prints to you SUPER fast!!! 2. You could buy cardstock and cut too! I did actually find a set (maybe of 6?) of these blank orange cards, and I just trimmed them a bit to represent a passport size vs. a regular card size. Then I fed them through the printer!
  3. Thanks! I didn't think there was much waste at all! I would say I probably spent $1 or less per invite!! I really only bought a few pack of cards and the template. The paper we already had!! Good luck. It IS quite a bit of work, but totally worth it!! These things sell for $5-8 per invite if you have them made!
  4. Thanks so much, Tammy!! Do you know when they will reach their decision? Is this a BDW specific position?
  5. I was a bride at "Hard Rock Riviera Maya" when it was still Palace Resorts, so I'm not sure if that counts. I would LOVE to be more active again with this site, and would be willing to learn whatever it takes! Do you think it would be worth me applying? I'm not sure I meet the requirements.

  14. It actually wasn't bad because I did it all myself!! The template was $10, the cards for the cover were probably about $12 and the postcards were free from vista print!! The hardest part was fine-tuning the design and putting everything together!! MUCH cheaper to do it yourself, but I can definitely see why these cost a lot to have made!!
  15. For anyone who is still active here -- please vote for my wedding at ASP!!! We would love to be chosen!!! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/83815/vote-for-your-favorite-bdw-real-wedding-2012
  16. Hey Kay! Just regular caulk from home depot/lowes and a caulking gun. You can use white or clear.
  17. So sorry I never answered anyone!! The picture was glued to the inside of the glass using a clear glue stick around the edges. Then the whole frame was sealed with caulking. The only opening I had was the drilled hole in the top to put the sand in, which we plugged when we got home. We carried it back in our carry on with no problems! Hope this helps!!
  18. Here are a few pictures: http://www.palaceresortspictures.com/images/Maps/aventura_spa_palace_resort.jpg http://www.resortsmaps.com/maps/map-AventuraSpaPalace-RivMaya.jpg Hope they help!! Enjoy!!
  19. We gave our maracas out at our At Home Reception, so I just ordered them from Amols -- http://www.amols.com/catalog/medium-traditional-maracas. I believe I called them to order 70 pairs of the orange, and I think they even had free shipping! So less than $1 per "shaker" ;o) There are a lot of people who get them when they get there, which, if you need a lot, is probably the best idea. You can get them in playa del carmen for pretty cheap. Not $1 a piece, but probably close. They sell them in the resort gift shop too, but they are definitely more expensive there.
  20. Not at all! I had my ceremony at the Chichen Gazebo -- it has open sides and a beautiful wooden bridge that leads up to it. Our reception was at the Mundaca Steakhouse. We only qualified for a free cocktail party, and I wasn't interested in paying extra for a private event -- we had a group of 18. Mundaca and El Greco can both make your reception very close to private if you are going to restaurant direction. Feel free to check out my wedding photos and let me know if you have any questions! https://www.facebook.com/jszy10/photos You should be able to see the albums for "Our Wedding" as well as our Riviera Maya album of the resort, and our anniversary trip back this past June!
