Hi Andi! Â Funny you ask! A while back, I inquired to Nathaniel Thompson because I love his work and style and he called me today saying he might have an opening available on June 11th 2011. He will be down at Las Caletas for another brides wedding on Friday June 10th! This would work great depending on if the bride agrees to do her TTD shoot a day later. (Since he would be potentially shooting my wedding the next day, the 11th) That way the other bride and I could hopefully split the traveling cost to get Nathaniel down there. So I'm crossing my fingers.... Â Anyways, I would love for this to work but just in case the other bride can't move her date, would you mind sending me the other photog info? Â Thanks a bunch Andi!

Howdy everyone! Â I have been surfing around on this amazing website for a while now but I thought I better introduce myself on the (new) Las Caletas thread. I was lucky enough to look through Andi's photo album from her wedding down at Las Caletas and boy I tell ya, I was hooked! (Thanks again Andi for that!) Soooo, my FI and I booked our day for June 11th, 2010!! June was a little late in the year for my first choice but the "available dates" were becoming unavailable at the drop of a dime so I had to act quick. I have to say, Las Caletas looks like a very popular place to get hitched and with reason. From all the pictures to all the reviews I have read, it seems unreal how beautiful and amazing it is. Â Anyways, as far as planning, I have sent out my STD's (those message in a bottles with a personal touch...they were really cute!) and am in the process of finding my formal invites to send out so we can get a more solid idea of who is RSVP-ing. I think we are going to stay at the Vallarta Palace up in Nuevo Vallarta also but that will be determined here within a week or two. Â So, that's that. Cindy, Â I also did my STD as "message in a bottle". It turned out really cute. I found perfect little glass bottles at Michaels Crafts and bought the sand, mini seashells and twine there as well. Then I went to a liquor store and found the mini cocktail umbrellas. As far as boxes, depending on the size of your bottles, I just used the USPS flat rate boxes (the boxes are free, just pay for postage!) and I bubble wrapped the heck out of them and they all turned out great. Nobody called saying they opened a box with sand and broken glass so I was happy it all worked out. Hope yours go well!

My FI and I decided to have our honeymoon there. It looks great and I have not seen but only a few bad reviews out of hundreds. I am really excited for a week of being pampered at this amazing resort. Now, all I have to find is where to stay the week of my wedding in Puerto Vallarta.

Psuelisa, I still have not figured out where we will be staying while on PV but the two I have been leaning towards are The Vallarta Palace and Dreams. As far as photographers go, I am thinking about just going with one that Kelley has in mind and not dealing with finding my own. I know it sounds lazy but I'm sure everything will be just fine. Have you done much research on any photographers because if I do find one I like, I might just change my mind. Anyways, congrats on your date and everything!

Hi Mary Beth! You are getting married the Friday before me! My FI and I are getting married that Saturday, June 11th at Las Caletas!! We should keep in touch through the next year as we both plan for our June weddings and congratulations by the way. Talk with you soon~ Megan

Hi everyone! My boyfriend of four years finally popped the big question over Memorial Day weekend. I instantly started researching places for our weeding and was recommended to Las Caletas. After some more research we decided and I set our date for June 11th 2011. I have been working with Kelley down there and she is very helpful with all my questions. Anyways, I don't really know what I need to take care of now. Is this the time to book our resort on Puerto Vallarta or should I wait until I get our responses back from the invites? (I just sent out our save the dates!) Do I need to book our photographer this far out as well? I just do not want to miss something and have it be too late later on. Anyways, I'm really glad to be apart of this and I look forward to sharing my experiences and searching for advice on the millions of questions I'm sure will arise this year. Megan
