  1. Has anyone done an RSVP online? Our wedding website has a page for RSVPs and I was wondering if anyone has had better success with an online RSVP? We're sending out our invitations in a month and I'm really nervous about RSVPs - we have to give a head count to the restaurants, rent the ceremony chairs etc. . .
  2. I'm getting mine a laptop. It may seem totally impersonal, but he would love it - he's always stealing mine and is totally a wannabe computer nerd!
  3. Â I just purchased these from Etsy for our moms - our theme is starfish and pearls - how perfect!
  4. I just made my first Etsy purchase! Our theme is starfish and pearls - I found the perfect gift for our mothers! Â Â from the seller MCT Jewelry Designs
  5. We just booked David Asing from Akahai Productions for our ceremony and cocktail hour with two hula dancers from his company - he is so nice and his voice is wonderful! I can wait to hear him in person!
  6. Have you tried http://www.kualoa.com/ ? I love this place! If it wasn't so far outside where we're gonna be, this would be my place. You get to take a little boat across an ancient koi pond!! If you're interested PM me with your email and I can send you all the information/brochures Robin (so great to talk to and very quick at getting your information) sent me.
  7. I'm having a ukulele player with two hula dancers for our cocktail hour! I'm so excited! I read about a lei exchange where we give leis to our new MIL as a sign of joining their family, but I can't find any wording for it. I SUCK at making that stuff up, so if anyone knows where to get wording for a lei exchange ceremony, I'd really appreciate it.
  8. Oooo we're doing that for our cocktail hour, but we're on Oahu. If no one from Maui has any ideas, let me know - maybe our guy would know people on Maui that perform.
  9. We're sending ours out next month (wedding is June9, 2011) only because we're being cheap and not sending out Save-the-Dates. Â
  10. I figured it wold get all mixed up, so I've already decided to get extra sand and we'd redo it when we got home!
  11. We're flying to the Big Island for our "honeymoon" (more just to be away from everyone because I'll feel guilty not inviting my parents every where). We'll just be there for 3 days then going back to Oahu for the next week.
  12. Right now is a great time to get all the stuff for it - everything is on sale in the back-to-school aisle! The most expensive thing I bought was a portable 3-hole punch from eBay for $5!
  13. I'm using a Travel Agent and she hasn't found flight deals as cheap as I have. In fact, she's asking ME where I found flights so cheap (priceline), so I'm obviously not big on using a TA. . .
  14. I found this great link and wanted to share it with everyone  http://veiltales.wordpress.com/2009/02/10/diy-project-wedding-binder/  For someone clueless about what I should be adding to my binder, this really helped - especially since she added links to a place to download free wedding templates and an excel free calendar download. Hope this helps anyone that's trying to get organized like me, but needs a little guidance!
  15. I finally feel like I'm getting some where! I've booked  Ceremony site: The Point at Paradise Cove Reception: Tiki's Grill and Bar Videographer: Imagine Wurks Cake: A Cake Life Hair and Make-up: Flaunt  . . . now for all the rest!
  16. We just booked Paradise Cove for June 9th wedding. The website says $750 for their cheapest package, but when we got the contract it was $862 plus tax - that's the "tentative" 2011 prices. If they decide not to go up, we'll get the $750 price, otherwise it's $112 more then is listed. Â If you have seen Island Princesses photos, it's beautiful, but you could probably get a lot cheaper for only 4 people. Kualoa Ranch's secret garden is $400/hour and it's right on the beach. Robyn, the lady I was speaking with there, is fantastic! http://www.kualoa.com/ If you are intersted, PM me your email and I can send you all the stuff she sent me. This would have been my number one choice, but my FI liked the looked of Parasidse Cove better so "it doesn't look just like my twin brother's ceremony" (he just got married on the beach in Jamaica).
  17. That hotel looks nice. We're looking at http://www.kaimana.com/ The New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel. The have decent prices and it's on the beach - anyone know anything about this hotel?
  18. This is the company I'm using for the video: http://www.imaginewurks.com/ I'm going to do 3 cameras - one faces the groom, one faces the bride, and one has the audience view. The look with the 3 cameras is so amazing. This is company has been really great with emails and overall communication and the prices are reasonable for this - I've looked at a lot!! I think I'm going with this photographer http://www.liquidlightimages.com/ . I've read some good things about Aaron Bernard the photographer and the portfolio is nice. . .
