  1. We booked ours as soon as the prices came out...we knew we wanted to get married in May so we were ready....our TA said that if the majority of people are booked with their deposits by October we will be in good shape; the remainder of their money will be due in March.
  2. Congrats and welcome! This site has been an awesome asset with our wedding planning!!
  3. Our Bridesmaids dresses came in on Friday and I LOVE THEM!!! My MOH and my FI 2 daughters (JR BM) will be in Fuchsia, with a tangerine ruffle, and our other 4 BM will be in Tangerine with the Fuchsia ruffle. It is hard to see it in the pic but there is a row of crystals that runs down the bodice and connects to the ruffles...when my bonus daughters tried them on Friday...the crystals were sparkling just from the lights in the kitchen! Can't wait to see how gorgeous they are going to be in the Jamaican sunlight!!! I am very happy with how they turned out! Especially for never seeing them in person!!! Â I think I already posted a pic of them...but just in case I didn't...this is what they look like with the exception of the color...
  4. Here are our BM dresses...except my MOH and my FI 2 daughters (JR BM) will be in Fuchsia, with a tangerine ruffle, and our other 4 BM will be in Tangerine with the Fuchsia ruffle. 5. Definitely go with the one that you want and that you feel beautiful in!!! Other's opinions help, but ultimately it should be your decision and if you aren't excited about the one they picked...I think you should either keep looking or go with your female intuition!! My dress is not at all a typical destination dress, but I didn't want it to be. I figure that I am going to be the one wearing it and I only plan on doing this one time in my life, so I am going to live it up as much as possible! It is your day...do what you are going to do for you!
  6. I ordered from the company Forever Yours. We ordered them at the end of May...they came in on Friday; but each company varies. Â The only reason that we ordered them sooo early was because as soon as I found this dress, I knew that was what I wanted. But just to be sure I did the whole, look around some more thing. Nothing was comparing and anything that even came close to making the cut, didn't come in the fuchsia and tangerine colors that I wanted...plus I wanted both colors to be on each dress...so with the fear of the possibility of the dresses being discontinued, we placed the order ASAP... Â
  7. Just got an email stating my BM dresses are on the truck to be delivered today!!! I soooo can't wait to see them!!!!

  10. I think we are going to wait until the AHR to do them both. There will be a ton more single people as opposed to maybe the 2 in Jamaica that will be single! lol! Any maybe after the all-inclusive advantages kick in, maybe they wont even be single!
  11. LOVE that idea...that is really cute! Too bad you can't cue the audience in to keep their laughter silent...the BM in a wedding dress would be priceless!
  12. I can't imagine it would look any more odd...and when you already have it on...we'll all still be hanging upside down trying to tape!! lol!
  13. Yay! I have a wedding date twin! Thank you for the compliment and congrats on becoming a maggie bride! Your dress is gorgeous!! Make sure you post pictures!!!
  14. I agree! If you don't need them, why have them done! Â A friend of mine got engaged shortly before we did; she was planning her wedding and buying a house, so I thought I would do the less stressful thing for the both of us and not ask her to be in our wedding. Turns out...she asked me to be in hers. We had to buy dresses and plan on a dish to bring as they were going to have a potluck for their dinner, they weren't having an official ceremony or rehersal or photographer....and absolutely no dance. Fast forward a few months and a $200 dress later...that I would have had to have a bustle put in, there is now no wedding...so I sure am glad that I didn't have the alterations done! Â SO I figure if somone can ask me to do that for their wedding when there isn't even anything official...we aren't asking to much with having them buy cute dresses that they definitely can wear again and will have fun partying their hearts out in!
  15. Lisa - I am also interested in what sizes you have of the dresses. I am interested in one for sure, maybe 2.
  16. I was talking to some people at work and they kind of gave me the look of "why would you do that" she even went so far as to say that a wedding dress is only meant for one day?! OBVIOUSLY she has never been married so I figure she may feel different once her day comes. But I have so many family members that can't go to jamaica for one reason or another and they are going to want to see me in my dress...and I want to be seen in it!!!
  17. That is a great idea too! I ordered the postcards and put the welcome not for our OOT bags on them...perfect size for what we were looking to do! Cute setting with the beach chairs and umbrella
  18. Â Using postcards...what a fabulous idea...wish i would have thought of that!!! Â
  19. I don't know how "trashed" the dress gets after, but figure I better play it safe and do it the day after...hopefully it doesn't get too "trashed" partying either! But I totally want to be a bride as long as possible too and I want more than the people down there with us to take note of it! Â Â We got really nice linen suits for the guys at Herbergers...the pants were $30 and the jackets were $98; my FI, his dad and my dad are wearing jackets and the rest of the guys are not; as of yet, we still have to find some nice white shirts though. We still have to find my FI TTD outfit, too though! hehehehe For you ladies doing a TTD shoot, what is your FI wearing?? (Eric can't wear his suit b/c we are having an AHR that he will be wearing it again for.)
  20. We have also ordered a lot of stuff from there. The STD turned out great...just waiting for our jamaica invites to arrive. Also been stocking up for out OOT bags on T-shirts, post-its, pens, keychains, business cards, and welcome notes...its like christmas when the items are on their way!!!
  21. We are doing plantable seashell favors...they are available for order from David's Bridal. they come with a cute little card tied with raffia ribbon.
  22. I am wearing my real dress again...have a second to change into and use for the TTD at the DW so I don't ruin my dress. I am very excited to be able to wear it twice!! When else does a girl spend that much money on an outfit that she will look that good in and only get to wear it so little!?
