Totally off topic from what we have been discussing...though I know we are kinda all over the place...but do any of you ladies know if they have a pressing service there and if so, how much THAT costs?! My dress is a soft taffeta so it shouldn't wrinkle too much...but may need a spot touch up to look perfect for the day...I am bringing a portable steamer, but my seamstress/alterations lady said that the resort should offer those service?! Anyone?

I just sent an email yesterday to get a quote from Lee's Tours that you booked through. OMG...how did you get such an awesome rate?! I just got a quote from them stating that they would honor a special wedding group rate of $17/pp for people 10yrs and older...with 25 adults, that's almost $500! I know we have a larger group than you...but holy man! What did they offer you as pricing if you don't mind me asking!?

Do you have to pay a p/p fee to have it at Don Pablos??? I think we are going to steal your idea with the bus and do it the day before the wedding...I requested a quote to leave about 9 and return around 3ish...so we'll see what they come back with...hopefully that will be enough time to do everything - thinking of the same itinerary that you are having - and get back intime to not be too rushed for a 6pm rehearsal...But that's the only day we would be able to do it if we did...as some people are coming Wednesday leaving Sunday and some are coming Thursday and leaving Monday (wedding's on Saturday). I think I am going to send out a poll email and see if that is something they would even like to do!?

Anyone know what bar location might be a good place to have a welcome party/bachelor/bachelorette party at?! I'd rather keep it a bit low key at first...then perhaps move to the disco to amp it up a bit later...would the piano bar be appropriate?! There's going to be about 30+ people, but I don't want to be the only people partying?!

I don't know how close you are to his parents, but what if you did your father daughter dance and then chose a song that you and your FI could both dance - FI with your mom and you with his dad?! Mrs. Dow & Katelynn - thanks for the template link, going to check it out now as its a fabulous idea! Mekanabr - thanks for your input as well!

I am not trashing my original dress as we are having a reception at home and being that a lot of my family will not be able to attend the DW, I don't want to take the chance of something happening to it and then not having it for all the pictures with the family once we get home...plus then I get to wear it twice - so not upset about that! I purchased a Mori Lee sample dress for $200 at a local bridal shop so this is the dress I'll be using; I'll also be changing into this one after the ceremony to party in, again...to save my "real" dress

Do you ladies have any pictures of the hotel template/room number thing that you used? How did you know where everyone was going to be? I was under the impression that room assignments weren't given until you arrive...or is there a huge piece of this that i am completely missing!? Soontobemrsdow - Congratulations and Thank you so much for your review...can't wait for pics! I do have one question for you though...what type of room did you have? I know a lot of the packages state that the bride & groom get upgraded...but what type of room do they upgrade you to??

Okay ladies...I need your opinions...as I mentioned...my dad and I are huge Journey fans and I am a total daddy's girl... so I have been trying to find an appropriate Journey song that would fit a father daughter dance...I found one and posted the lyrics below...Do you think it can be interpreted appropriately or does it sound creapy!? In my life I see where I've been I said that I'd never fall again Within myself I was wrong My searchin' ain't over... over I know that When you love a woman You see your world inside her eyes When you love a woman You know she's standin' by your side A joy that lasts forever There's a band of gold that shines waiting Somewhere... oh oh yeah If I can't believe that someone is true To fall in love is so hard to do I hope and pray tonight Somewhere you're thinking of me girl Yes I know I... I know that When you love a woman You see your world inside her eyes When you love a woman You know she's standin' by your side A joy that lasts forever There's a band of gold that shines, waiting Somewhere... oh..oh It's enough to make you cry. When you see her walkin' by And you look into her eyes Oh...oh...oh When you love a woman You see your world inside her eyes When you love a woman Well you know she's standin' by your side A joy that lasts forever There's a band of gold that shines... whoa When you love a woman... When you love, love, love When you love a woman You see your world inside her eyes.

I am not sure if it is available for Canada, but we booked through a travel agent, but she used FunJet Vacations...and she comes up with the same price as I can...only difference is she is taking care of the communication with the resort and got an additional $100 wedding discount...but if it would save the headaches for you and your guests...the $100 discount isn't that big of a deal!!

I actually have had a heck of a time finding them! People would offer them to me, i would email back and then I would hear nothing...SOOOO frusterating! But I actually found a seller on ebay that sells them for $23.95 + $10 shipping but they combine orders...they have tons of other colors too! Ebay has been the cheapest option that I have found...to buy new at least. -
The BM's are going to walk down to the 50 first dates version of Somewhere over the rainbow My dad and I are going to walk down to Jonathan Cain's - Open Arms (its the piano version of Journey's open arms and since i am a Journey fanatic b/c of my daddy...its perfect!) Our recetional song is I Gotta Feelin' by the Black Eyed Peas....think we're all going to put sunglasses on and busta move as we exit! lol!

So...all you Moroccan Oil ladies...which items from their line of products do you use?? They seem to really have a lot of stuff out there! -
We had some questions about people staying off the resort grounds and coming for the wedding...here is the response I received from Beverly regarding this issue: Thank you for your below mail. Please find that in order for any persons who are not staying on property to attend the wedding then there is a day pass fee of USD75.00 per person for the day. In any event to attend the wedding ceremony ONLY and have dinner ONLY with you, the fee is USD40.00

Wish I had found this forum before I purchased my sashes! But I still however am looking for paper lanterns in orange and hot pink if anyone has any??!! If anyone is getting married after June 18th (that's when our AHR is) I would be willing to sell our sashes too! I will have 50 organza sashes in each - fuchsia and tangerine. -
ooh...thats a fabulous way to do it! Thanks for the idea!!! I just may have to steal it!

We're planning on doing a sand/shell ceremony and having people add seashells to the bottom of the vase as they enter the area for the ceremony; then we will add our sand over the top...I am having a heck of a time trying to find a vase that has a large enough top to allow for seashells to be put in but still has a stopper to keep the sand from pouring out on the way home!! Any one have any ideas?!

Just got the pictures of our cake topper and I am sooo excited to receive it! She incorporated pink shells and orange crystals to accompany the starfish theme...She was absolutely amazing to work with and soooo accomodating of any request! She is on etsy and her shop is shellscapes. She has a starfish on the back as well with a blue crystal for the something blue aspect!
