I have so much time before I need to get my dress...I'm not too upset..I didn't even try anything on yesterday...it was more going to look at just one dress because I knew I liked it enough to at least have to see it again... Thanks for the encouragement

Went to go look at a dress today..but pretty sure it's not the one...It's short and has 1 sleeve..very cute...but looking at it I couldn't actually picture being married and walking down the aisle (or beach) in it. But I can totally see changing into it and wearing it AFTER the wedding at dinner or some other celebration. Super Cheap..so definitely an option for that...but...guess I have to keep looking....

I know that it depends on the dress...did the place where you got it have any reccommendations of where to do? What kind of alterations do you need? My 1st wedding..I am pretty sure that I only paid about $300, and they had a LOT of things to chnge...they took it in...hemmed the crap out of it (I'm only 5'2") and then because I am abnormal and decided to not care about dieting the very last couple of weeks before the wedding as opposed to crazy dieting..they had to then let it out just a couple days before the wedding

$1100 is ridiculous for alterations....I would definitely look around for someone else...I'm sure you can find someone a lot cheaper who will still do an amazing job.

FI and I are planning on having an AHR...but just planning it for our backyard...our house is not the biggest but our backyard is huge and would be perfect with a couple tents. Nothing says that it has to be in a big venue..I couldn't justify doing that...becuase it's basically a whole other wedding you are paying for. Make it fun and casual
