Hi Azul Beach Hotel Brides! I am not sure if I already posted my wedding video and wanted to share it because some of you have been asking about my videographer. We used Paul from Playa Weddings and his work is unbelievable! We ABSOLUTELY LOVED our video and we were so happy that we spent the extra money to have our wedding video of our special day! He is great to work with and having this video to look back on has been SO great. I have a bad memory and now we will always remember all the special details of our wedding day! Let me know if you have any questions. His work is well worth the money!!!

Hi! The majority of my guests had the deluxe rooms and they were ok but the junior suites are much nicer! Have you seen photos of the deluxe rooms? Are the posts on trip advisor recent about the sewage smell? I have not heard anything about that. How many people are you expecting? When is your wedding? Are you going directly through the resort or are you using a travel agent to book your rooms? What is the price difference they are quoting you for the different room categories?

Hi! I got married at Azul Beach Hotel on 5-28-11 and had an unbelievable wedding and experience! Azul Beach is an AMAZING resort and you both picked the BEST resort EVER to have your wedding! We went back in May for our one year anniversary and the resort is even better than when we got married there! We love the resort and want to go back every year for our anniversary! We used Samuel Luna as well and he was great! His photos get better and better every time I see his new posts on Facebook. Here is his blog and my a few of my photos are on there from our wedding. http://samuellunablog.com/ We had our reception at Blue Terrace and it was beautiful! When we got married there was only the option to have our reception at Blue Terrace, Blue Restaurant or the Beach but now they have the ballroom and it is really nice as well! Hi! Just wanted to share with you the videographer I used because he was AMAZING. We used Paul from Playa Weddings for our video and Samuel Luna for our photography. From what I saw when looking, the videographers are separate from the photographers. Video was very important to us and we were so happy with our final wedding day edit video! Below is our video for you to take a look. Let me know if you have any questions. By the way, we got married at Azul Beach Hotel not Azul Sensatori. Happy Planning! I know I do have time, but I would really like to nail down my photographer/videographer. I don't mean to ask a dumb question as I am sooo new to this stuff, but does a photographer normally bring a videographer? Or is the videographer completely separate? I feel this is one of the most important parts of the wedding and I am willing to pay a little more and save on other stuff. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance for your help and guidance!! And congrats to EVERYONE!!!! One last thing, not sure if anyone is having a cigar roller, but this is very important to my fiance. I believe it is $400 for 2 hours (?). They only roll Cuban cigars for 1/2 the time. But my fiance wants all Cuban. I have asked how much this would be and I am waiting on an answer. Once I know, I will post that info.

Do you have your pics yet? Would love to see them. I believe we are going to do roses and maybe cymbidium orchids for centerpieces. Im checking out shoes. My dress should be coming in soon. I know my veil is in already. It's a short one which will be used only for the ceremony. I am going to use my reservation for a brunch I wanted to do the day after The wedding which is Easter Sunday. My wc should be getting back to me but can't see it being a problem. What size were the tables? I think we too are going to bring the bows for the chairs and overlays for the tables. Do you know what size they are? Did anyone rent the Tiffany chairs? I know for the ceremony they giveyou the garden chairs which I'm fine with but not sure what the chairs are at blue terrace. I'm sure more questions will come up. I have my pics but there are tons of them! Are there any specific photos that you want to see. I just posted video too so that should be helpful. Did you need to know the sizes of the tables and chairs at the Blue Terrace? The sizes are different for the Blue Terrace and the Beach Reception so I want to make sure I give you the correct information. How many people are you having? We put 4 tables together and had 48 guests...The tables were big and our WC did not recommend this because they said there would be very little room for dancing but there was more than enough room for dancing and it worked our perfectly. We got the pearl package and we picked out all the flowers with specific requests. Just send as many photos as possible and they will copy it pretty good! I was worried about the flowers but they turned out good. Last minute, we got a new wedding coordinator that was new to Azul Reports. I was pretty worried and they listened to my ideas but they were not as great as I would have excepted but in the end it all turned out good. We had our reception at the Blue Terrace and it was a perfect reception location! We were satisfied with the food and service...The cake was so so but we were expecting that from other reviews. The wait staff service was great and the food from what I can remember at the wedding was good...Unfortatley, I did not eat much but the lobster and bbq ribs were great! We had them put 4 tables together...There is no option for round tables at the blue Terrace. Let me know if you have any other questions! We would sell our pink table runners and chair bows...They would be $1 each. PM me if you are interested. I just posted a video and can send you additional photos if you want...Just let me know what types of photos you want to see because I have a TON of photos! The rooms were great! They upgraded us to the wedding suite which was a very nice room. Our DJ was great too...DJ Temo! Let me know if you have any other questions or need anything else!

We got married on May 28th and we DID NOT need dinner reservations which was so nice! We were so worried about this but we were able to get a table at any of the restaurants very easily! The first night most our guests were there we wanted to have a welcome dinner and we easily got a table for 20-25 people...So easy! For our reception, we had a price reception at the Blue Terrace! Great location and I would recommend doing a private event if you want the whole place to yourself. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi! Bars close at 1 p.m. but they may stay open a bit later if you tip them. Also, you could also bring the party to one of your rooms if you wanted to. We went to bed after the bar closed at 1 a.m. but I think you could order drinks to the room afterwards. We thought that would be an issue too but by 1 a.m. we were pretty much ready to go to bed...but some groups hung out in their rooms to keep the part going. There is a dress code but they are not very strict at all. You weren't suppose to wear sandals or shorts but people in our group had no problems there. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi Kerry! You are welcome! Feel free to ask me as many questions as you want. We had our reception at the Blue Terrace and we brought chair bows, table overlays, table runners and we had roses as our centerpieces. The lighting was pretty good and the DJ brought lights too so there was a spotlight type light on us for our first dance, cake cutting, garder/bouquet toss, etc...I can send you pics if you want...Just let me know...What are your colors? Are you having your reception at the Blue Terrace? They did not allow cold fireworks. We used the 25 person reservation as a bridal brunch the day before the wedding. Do you have a photographer picked out yet? Have you checked out the Azul Sensatori thread? There are some AB brides on that thread.

When I was there there were only 2 bars open but they are adding restaurants and maybe bars so I would check with your wedding coordinator. There is the Aquanox Bar (outside by the main pool) that is open until 11 p.m. and the Tequila Lounge (inside and air conditioned) open from 5 p.m. - 1 a.m. We only had a Welcome Dinner on the beach and then our wedding reception and we wanted to meet up with our guests every night too...We made a schedule of events and every night that we did not have something planned we put "Meet us for drinks after dinner at the Aquanox Bar and then the Tequila Lounge." But you really don't have to do this because the resort is so small and everyone was at the Aquanox bar before and after dinner and then the Tequila lounge after the Aquanox closes. A couple of the nights (including the wedding night after the reception) our group were the only ones in the Tequila Lounge and we had the place all to ourselves! It was like a private event for free! It so easy to hang out with your guests because you run into them everywhere you go which is so nice! The resort was fully booked and it didn't seem crowded at all which was great! How many guests are you having? Also, its so easy to get tables for a big group for dinner at the restaurants...they are so accommodating! The first night they put a table of 20 together for us! Also, thank you for the comment on my photos! Who is your photographer? We did a Welcome Dinner on the beach the night before the wedding. It was really nice...They only bad thing was when it got dark...The lights they provided did not light up the area very good. Kind of a bummer! We asked for more lights and it sounded like they were going to get more but they never did. We also did a photo slide show at the Welcome Dinner. This was BBQ buffet dinner which was a private event for 4 hours but I think we only stayed on the beach for about 3 hours since it was so dark and we all went to the Aquanox bar to hang out. I wore wedges for the ceremony and then changed into heels for the ceremony. I can post pics if you want..just let me know. I wanted fireworks and fire dancers but they said no and I have not heard anyone that has done this. YOU will LOVE this resort! It is AMAZING! All our guests are still raving about the resort and say they can't believe we picked such a great resort! When you think of Mexico you think of all those large resorts with 500plus rooms which are great but for a wedding a small boutique resort was the perfect choice! We want to go back for our 1 year anniversary (Even though we always choose adult only resorts when we go to Mexico.) How many people are you having? Let me know if you have any other questions!

Yes, they wrapped my bouquet in ivory ribbon and my bridesmaids in white ribbon. I gave them a picture of the bouquet that I wanted and they made it the exact same...I was a bit worried about the size (I wanted a large bouquet) but it ended up being exactly what I wanted. I told them that I wanted 2 dozen roses just to make sure the size was what I wanted.

Thank you!! We had our reception at the Blue Terrace and it was a beautiful setting! We had a total of 50 people which included our 2 photographers and 2 video people. Our honeymoon was great! We went to Secrets Maroma and had a swimout suite which was perfect for us. The resort was nice but totally different from Azul Beach Hotel because it was so much bigger! Where are you thinking of having your honeymoon?

Hi Azul Beach Hotel Brides! We just got some Teaser photos from our photographer! Samuel Luna was our photographer... www.SamuelLuna.com Let me know if you have any questions about him. We booked him for 8 hours on the wedding day and TTD/Honeymoon photos. I can't wait to get the rest of our photos and our video!

Thank you LauraMinn! Thank you IR2BBooker!! We had our cocktail hour at the Wave Lounge and our reception at the Blue Terrace. Let me know if you h ave any questions about these. We also had a Welcome Beach BBQ Dinner on the Beach the night before the wedding. What locations are you thinking of? Yes! One of the reasons I booked Azul Beach Hotel was for the new Sky Terrace they were building but unfortunatley it was not complete for our wedding. I was so bummed but after having my wedding on the beach I have no regrets...It was perfect! Below is a photo of their new Sky/Wedding Terrace! Looks pretty nice.

Hi! I saw some posts about wedding rehearsal and we had one the night before the wedding at Azul Beach Hotel. We told them that we needed one and would not be happy without having one and they easily scheduled one for us. It was pretty basic and only last about 15 minutes but did make me feel more at ease by having one. I would try harder if you really want to have one and hopefully it will work for you!
