  1. Thanks I will check it out! I don't see the pic of what she made for you can you inbox it to me?
  2. Look at what I got in the mail today! I was soooo excited when I got home and found this package and seen who it was from!! I ordered it from the original, Anna Hartshorn! She was even featured in Martha Stewart weddings. You can only order from her on Sunday's after 6pm central and she only sells so many per week. The hanger was only $32 with shipping, here is the link: http://www.lilafrancesdesigns.com/ On the Sunday when I was about to order my hanger, our electricity went out due to a crazy storm. At about 3pm eastern time and did not come back on until half past midnight! At 7pm (6pm central) I called my good friend Tonnisha in a panic and asked her to order the hanger for me before it was sold out and she did it with no hesitation! I went to give her the money 2 days later and she told me not to worry about it, it was a gift! How awesome is she!
  3. Does anyone know where I can get some under table lighting like the lighting in one of these pics?
  4. I could see that happening..but not just volunteering them the rooms. But who knows...I will be happy if they just upgrade us from gardenview to ocean view lol
  5. I just asked this question to the WC and was told your wedding party would have to get a day pass. Even for a few hours. Also, you may want to clarify the upgrade to the other hotel thing because each hotel works independently so they likely wouldn't do that. I have read a lot of reviews where a couple was upgraded from say gardenview to oceanview or oceanveiw to oceanside but in the same hotel. Just don't want you to get your hopes up. And they do say its based on availability. Hope this helps
  6. Here is a crazy pic of my niece but we just had flower girl practice. I know my wedding is over a year away but I really don't think the crybaby hissy-fits are cute at a wedding. Smile & Toss, Smile & Toss!! .....Please excuse her hair... we were having a lazy Saturday, playing in all the wedding goodies
  7. For any Iberostar Rose Hall Beach brides that are planning on getting married under the Huppa and are planning on adding colored fabric to the Huppa, here are the Huppa measurements that were set to me from the WC. In the pic, the side of the huppa doesn't look as wide as the front. I did ask the WC to verify the measurements, especially since when I asked for the reception table measurements they were incorrect and I had to request the measurements again. The WC sent me another email saying the huppa measurements on the pic are correct. Hope this helps! Felicia
  8. Thanks! Yeah those were pics from the bride I bought them from. Total inspiration on how I may decorate our reception site. I am still trying to decide if we are going to do an indoor reception or a reception on the beach. I googled these pics I am attaching and I'm thinking about scattering some of the lanterns around in the sand. I think we are leaning towards renting out Uncle Tony's for the reception since they said it opens out to the beach. That way we can have a little of both. And our bonfire can be right there :0)
  9. I want to give a shout out to FutureMrsTGun for inspiring me to get my DIY on... Please check out her thread, you will totally be inspired. First up! Painting starfish! Stay tuned... -- Felicia
  10. Since my stepdaughter clothing size is moving into the Jr.'s & Misses, yet she will only be 9 at the time of the wedding, I am going to also get her a convertible dress so I can make sure she is properly covered in all the right places I may even add a waist sash to her dress to kiddie it up a little more.
  11. After searching for just the right dresses for my bridesmaids, I have decided to go with a convertible dress... Here is the stock photo of the dress my girls are going to get and a few of the different ways they can wear it... If you google them you can find they are very inexpensive. I found this one on amazon.com
  12. I will probably focus on how I am going to get all this crap to Jamaica safely. But other than that I am just going to try to relax. When we were still having our wedding this November, I had a lot of sleepless nights filled with anxiety so I am just going to try to chill and wait for the big day to get here.
  13. I also used vistaprint.com to make our invitation brochures. These will be sent off with out Save-The-Dates. Here is the Outside of the brochure... Here is the inside...
  14. About 2 weeks before we leave for the wedding, I will be mailing our guests Pre-Travel Brochures, 3-4 luggage tags and a Jamaica Travel Guide that I got free from the Jamaican Tourist Board. I made these Pre-Travel Brochures on vistaprint.com. Here are the proofs The Outside... . The Inside...
  15. I purchased 96 of these lanterns from emerald0130 in the classified section. Ladies please do not sleep on the classified section, they have some great deals! The sizes of these range from 16"-30" and I got 96 of them for $100...If I had gotten them brand new I would have paid a lot more!
  16. Sorry here are his shoes... Here is my super cute niece Chaniyah. She will be the flower girl. The following pic is the flower girl dress I ordered for her from Davids Bridal. LOOOOVE IT! <-------This is Chaniyah, This is her dress------->
  17. Hello All, My name is Felicia (Nikki) and I live in Ohio. My fiance, Brett and I will be getting married at the lovely (so I have heard) Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica on November 11, 2012!! Brett and I have been engaged since 2008 but wanted to take our time planning our wedding so that we can make sure we have it the way we want it. Brett has a beautiful 7 year old daughter that lives with us named Mari. I have been in her life since she was 1 so as you can imagine, I feel like she is my own. You may see her and my niece Chaniyah throughout the thread as well I have seen so many great ideas on BDW on how to make our day special and have decided to start a Thread so that I can have all of my ideas and suggestions in one place. Feel free to ask any questions and/or suggest anything you can? Congrats to all of the brides of the past and future! Now to the good stuff... I have another planning thread that I had started when our wedding date was going to be in November of 2011 and our wedding colors were going to be Turquoise and Purple. After pushing our wedding date out a year (for multiple reasons) we decided to change our wedding colors to Fuchsia, Orange and Yellow. It just feels more caribbean! The purple was bringing our decor down in our opinion. I have started a shutterfly account with pics of the planning for friends and family that won't be able to make it to Jamaica to see. I doubt they will be coming to bdw.com if they are not planning a destination wedding I will also load the pics here for your thoughts and inspiration. Here is the link: http://greatestluv.shutterfly.com/ There is also a blog on there too! On with the pics of ehat we have so far!...First up...Me and My "Boo Thang" A.K.A. Beefcake...and Mari! Here is my dress...I always envisioned something flowy so this dress from Alfred Angelo is perfect. Now that I have over a year to the big day I plan on loosing a significant amount of weight so stay tuned for a before an after comparison in the same dress Here is the drawing from the designer that is making my bolero jacket that I am having made for it. However, if I reach my weight goal then I may just have a one shoulder strap of flowers added to it. Here is a pic of my fiance's suit. The groomsmen will just be wearing matching pants with a white shirt while Beefcake wears the entire suit including the jacket. We got these from JCPenny. It is a Stafford linen look suit. It is really light and perfect for a beach wedding! Here are Brett's Sexy shoes....we found them at Kohl's for a great price! You know kohl's has the BOMB coupons too!
