I am looking for a hair stylist that can do my hair for my wedding in Montego bay. I would prefer that they have experience with African American natural hair. Thanks in advance, Felicia Soon to be Mrs. Swanson IRHB MoBay, Jamaica 11.12.11

I haven't see Jump the broom but I have always wanted to do it. I really wasn't that concerned with how it was decorated just so long it matches my flower girl basket and ring bearer pillow. I know you have already seen it but here is a pic for everyone else. I googled "jump the broom" wedding ceremony readings and typed it up for the minister to read at the end of the ceremony.

I think that jill/meghan/vanessa style will look good on you! your now pic looks totally different from your before pic....I had to go back and make sure it was the same person...lol ...It's crazy how you lost the boarding pass file. I know those things take time to make I would be peed off too. Since you are getting married before me PA-LEESE give a full report when you get back... What types of favors are you giving to your guests? BEFORE short and sassy...black then the brown with honey blond streaks... NOW brown with honey blond streaks..growing out...(with no shape hence the headband) INSPIRATION (jill scott's new do, the meagan good and one of the simmon's sisters following her big chop)...

We are less then 5 months away from our wedding in Montego Bay...and I need to choose a hairstyle A.S.A.P!!! We are having a custom wedding cake topper made that will look like us and I need to submit a picture t the designer of the cake topper. I have been natural (no relaxer or straightening chemicals) for over 2 years now and my hair stretches past my bra strap. My fiance loves my natural hair and does NOT want me to straighten it for the wedding. (and neither do I ) I have been surfing google for some African American Natural hair Wedding Hairstlyes for about a month now. I want something UNIQUE and FUNKY and I want to show off my natural-ness. Here of some pics of some styles I like...Please feel free to post some pics you may come accross as inspitation and let me know what you think. Felicia

I didn't use a template...First i just opened a word document and formatted it into 3 columns and typed in all the information. Then I went to vistaprint.com and chose one of their beach or Caribbean templates and just copied and pasted each section in it. To get everything in the right place I followed the format of another ladies brochure here on BDW so when its foleded everything will be in the right place. on vistaprint.com you can save your design and wait for them to email you a special offer within 30 days... i kinda did that but i also got a coupon from livingsocial.com Paid $10 for a $50 coupon, Plus at the time the site was offering a 30%off deal...The normal price was 39.99 for 25 of them. I ended up getting 50 for 41.99 but i used the $50 coupon so i really only paid $10 all together. I also got some bachelorette party invites to make up the difference...Couldn't beat that deal. And it was very easy to do. Did most of it on my lunch break at work. Let me know if this helps

After doing some research we were expecting to pay about $160 for Amariah's Jr. Bridesmaid dress. One day we got a $10 off coupon from Kohl's in the mail and I just had to use it. Amariah and I walked around the store trying to find something to spend the $10 off coupon on when we ran into this dress! I don't remember what the original price was but we pulled it off of a rack that said 40% off. The clearance price on the tag was $23.45 but when we got up to the register it rang up @$17. Then on top of that we used our $10 off coupon. So we made out like a Bandit and paid a whopping 7 Bucks!

Well I don't plan on sending my pre travel brochures until about 2weeks before we leave for Jamaica. Most resorts require the trip to be paid in full 30 days before the arrival date so by the time you are 2 weeks out you will know exactly who will be attending and who will not be attending. I am waiting until about 2 weeks before because I don't want to risk the chance of any of my guests misplacing the luggage tags or the brochure. Plus if they get the brochure then they can start using my tips to prepare for the trip. The info I included in my brochure was info from a couple of brochures I seen on BDW. I just changed the info to fit my guest and the resort where we will be staying etc. Then I sent the draft to my travel agent to make sure the info I included about the resort was accurate. Then I ordered the Brochure. It is a good idea to include the travel agents info. I didn't think to add that but they can get it from our wedding website which is included on the brochure. Let me know if this helps. Felicia

Its funny you say that... I spent like 2 hours trying to find a way to embellish it more! the only thing I really did was downloaded my monogram and centered it to the front of the business card. Then vista print gave me options for the back side and all I did was change the appointment date and time to name and address and phone number. Honestly, after 2 hours of trying to do more to the front I would have chosen anything for the back. I was so frustrated by then...mainly because I didn't want to pay to upload anymore of my designs. And their free designs didn't go well with my custom monogram. I got 250 luggage tags for only 3.99 (80% off)...I'm headed to amazon.com now to order some luggage tag holders for them. Let me know if I can be of any help in the future

Thanks everyone for the compliments! Actually it was very easy and I am no pro!...I seen a pic of someone else's travel brochure and used it as a guide to personalize it for my guests. The first thing I did was typed it up on a word Doc then just copied and paste it onto one of the templates the offered. I searched the templates by typing caribbean and beach until i found the right one. after I did it i just saved it on the website and vista print kept emailing me discounts. Then the other morning I woke up and livingsocial.com have emailed me the offer to pay $10 for a $50 coupon code. so all in all I only paid $10 for 50 brochures and 250 business cards (luggage tags) I added the bachelorette invites so I could get free shipping. If you want, I can help you format the brochure on vista print and then you can order it if you like it. PM me if your interested. Thanks again to everyone for the compliments Felicia
