  1. I got married at the Moon Palace on Saturday April 30, 2011.  I decided to use the services of DJ Mannia because they came highly recommended on bestdestinationweddings.com.  I never once felt worried or regret with selecting their DJ services.  They were extremely professional, responded quickly to my emails and answered all my questions.  They assured me that they would keep all my guest dancing and I had nothing to worry about.  They were right!!!

Carols DJ's my wedding.  He contacted me several weeks before my wedding providing me a break down of songs he will such as daughter - father dance, first dance, etc.  They asked for a small list of songs I would like played in order for them to have an idea of what type of music we like.

I met Carols the day of my wedding, he was dressed professional, had an extremly professional attitutude and knew exactly what I wanted as the bridal party entrance and bride and groom entrance.  The music selection he played from cocktail hour to dinner and to dancing was exactly what I wanted.  Carlos was able to add extra songs which flowed nicely with the same kind of music we had requested.  My guest could not stop raving about the awesome DJ.  People danced all night and  some even started to dance on the bar.  We even paid to have Carols play an extra hour.  He had no problem with doing this and was willing to stay as long as we needed him.  It was an amazing night and I have the DJ to thank for that.  I would higly recommend DJ Mannia and I would defintely use this company again.  I felt so happy about selecting this DJ company.  Anyone would be crazy if they did not use DJ Mannia to DJ their event.  The DJ is one of the best choices I made with my destination wedding.

A+++ for this company.  Thank you to bestdestinationwedding for pointing me in the right direction!  DJ Mannia you have a fan for life here in California!  Thank you so much for being a part of our special day.  You are awesome!!!

  2. Hi Maykaym4.  Congrats on your wedding!  Great news on the photographer!  How did you get around bringing in an outside photographer in the Moon Palace?  Did you get a day pass or get them a room?  I'm getting married at the MP on 4/30/11 and I've hired Juan Navarro who lives locally.

    Thanks!

We just got married 2/13/11 at MP and we booked Sascha Gluck for our wedding and a TTD session afterwards.  He was AMAZING and his pricing was VERY reasonable.  We did a 7-hour package (5 hours the day of and a 2-hour TTD session the next day) and it came in right around $2,000.  He also offers smaller packages for less.  I would definitely check him out!  cancunphotos.net

    Good luck!

  3. I'm getting married at the Tucan Gazebo.  The walk way looks reall long.  Any idea of the distance of the walk way up to the gazebo?  Every time I ask my WC, she sends me a picture but doesnt say the distance.  Any idea??  Thanks!

I liked the Tucan Gazebo but didn't want a 10 mile walk from my room to the gazebo!

  4. Janina Mendoza is also my Miami office coordinator.  She is awesome!  She gets back to me right away, answers any questions about booking rooms and is very professional.  4/30/2011 is getting close!  whoo hoo!

I have a question about what the 2010 brides gave for tips to their MP wedding coordinator, and any others that should receive tips....How much did you give and what is considered appropriate?  How do you know?  I want to make sure I give the right amount because so far my WC is wonderful!

Or -- if you have a link to a different thread that has these answers I would greatly appreciate it!

    Thanks in advance!

  6. I love the cake boxes.  I'm going to have to steal that idea!

I wasn't thrilled with my flowers because I didn't get the bouquet I requested, BUT it WAS still pink and orange. LOL

I used plain white cake boxes and bought a bunch of different scrap book paper. I cut them to fit the boxes and printed my monogram on a nice thick paper. Glued those on top. Really inexpensive!

Orange and fushia cardstock. Printed on the same ivory, shimmery paper as the cake boxes and secured with a brown brad just for a fun detail.

    Programs constructed the same way:

I will try to see if I can find the template for these. Naturally the monogram can't be used, but the orange flower design at the bottom can be used if anyone is interested.

Thank you tags that I attached to mini tequila bottles with rafia for the men and wrapped ribbon around pashminas for the ladies with these on top.

Used a thank you stamp on the other side.

Sorry no pic in action... I bought the tequila in MX and constructed in our hotel room prior to the wedding. I actually forgot the pashminas in my room so the ladies didn't get them til the day after the wedding. OOPS! See... even with years of planning things can still get messed up. Just gotta roll with it.
