Being from Winterpeg...I want to get all my oot bag stuff done asap as there is limited time for summer gear and don't want to wait until there are is only slim pickin.

Tropical Wedding Flowers Bouquet Package Custom by AmoreBride Love her bouquets. She is fast to respond and will customize. I wasn't sold on silk but I think I might do bouquets in silk and real flowers for set-up. Not 100% sure yet.

We haven't finalized anything (still far away) but we're thinking of including a quick ukrainian (groom's background) and irish (my background) tradition as follows: Officiant reads: "In Ukrainian tradition, the hands of the bride and groom are being joined with an embroidered cloth, or rushnyk, to signify their newly forged union. This symbolizes that their marriage is a never-ending journey that they now face together." Bride and Groom remain bound together as NAME comes up to read the Irish Wedding blessing: NAME reads: “May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon the fields. May the light of friendship guide your paths together. May the laughter of children grace the halls of your home. May the joy of living for one another trip a smile from your lips, A twinkle from your eye. And when eternity beckons, at the end of a life heaped high with love, May the good Lord embrace you with the arms that have nurtured you the whole length of your joy-filled days. May the gracious God hold you both in the palm of His hands. Here is how we think the ceremony will go (it seems like it will be long but it is actually quite short and sweet). Entrance Memorial candle lighting Welcome Officiant Reading to replace OCAMPO’S LETTER Vows Exchange of rings Ukrainian and Irish traditions Sand ceremony Pronouncement Probably will be tweaked a few times but that's the gist! We love it. Rebecca

Wedding Checklists & Worksheets

I love list! Am so glad I found this thread...this will help so much. thanks! Rebecca -
Thanks for the great info! Sounds wonderful. I have a couple questions if you don't mind. Was it worth the upgrade to the riviera package? Were the flowers for the arch and aisle extra? Did you have to pay extra for the cake decoration? Were the bouquets super expensive? I am considering bringing silk flowers because I found a lady on etsy who makes beautiful tropical destination wedding packages(will specialize with your colours) and ships right to the resort for a reasonable price....but if it's not much more, I'd definately rather fresh! I was thinking of doing bouquets & bouts in silk and fresh for arch and decoration. Any advice? I saw your pics from the facebook link and they are fantastic! You look beautiful...love your dress. The flowers you chose for the arch are stunning! Again...thanks so much for the info. It is greatly appreciated. Rebecca p.s. how is the waterpark?

I chose Sandos Caracol as well. I wish there was a thread like the awesome one there is for the Sandos Playacar! Seems harder to find the Caracol brides! I have been emailing Karina who has been awesome in answering my questions. So far this is what we've come up with as a plan but looking for feedback!!!! We're having our ceremony at 4pm. I think we're probably booking the mariachi band and the finger food for in between the wedding ceremony and dinner. Then for dinner we're thinking of the steakhouse for one private sitting (6-7:30) for $400 us. We're still figuring out what happens next...we definately want to DANCE for sure but don't know where the best place to do this is. I'm going for a fuschia, orange and purple tropical look and probably will end up bringing some decorations. I'm all for "going with the flow" but it's been kind of nice finding out some details and I'm having so much fun planning it out! Maybe the Caracol brides should start a new thread called "Sandos Caracol Brides" or something like that and all post any info. Not sure how this whole thing works yet though. Any thoughts? Rebecca

Cancun PHOTOGRAPHERS
kingshead replied to sunitam's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
Thank you for all the wonderful tips. We haven't decided who to go with yet but have heard that the hotel photographer doesn't cut it. There is so much out there it is hard to narrow it down. RK -

I am also so sorry for your loss Pinktigerlily (and all the others who have posted here). I lost my mom six years ago and plan to have a beautiful flower arrangement to represent her spirit, which will be with us at the ceremony. There are some wonderful ideas here on how to include her in the ceremony script. I haven't got that far yet...except that I know I want to say something to her/about her. Thanks for this post. It made me cry. Rebecca

I am in the process of looking for the same ideas! I found one photo on KarenM's planning thread that I love. I have no idea where to buy the hanging shells though...I am new to this and maybe should send a message to KarenM directly? I also found photos on the Del Sol Photography website...they had flowing shear material with small flower chains hanging in the back. Any help would be appreciated! Rebecca

So do alot of destination brides go with silk? I found a tropical destination package on Etsy that I love...but thought that real flowers would be so much nicer. I guess the best thing to do is email the coordinator with what I want and see if they could do it in real flowers right? Any advice on this would be helpful! Thanks for the great info! Rebecca
