I'm glad you had a great time! I've had several nightmares about my wedding and that it went all wrong lol and I seriously think I can have a panic attack if it does. Right now we're planning for 5pm wedding. I don't want it to be sunset, but I don't want my guests to roast either. I may change it to a little earlier actually (I want to be in my dress from 12am that day lol!) But I have been nervous about decor and everything going perfect and maybe it's because I'm close (not too close, 8mos. away) and idk. The dreams dont help. I really wanted to work with Yazmin since I don't know Anel and her work. Unfortunately Yazmin has just passed my "requests" to another one of her workers and after 2months they were still not able to give me a proposal for what I requested and there is a lack of communication. I feel like contacting Yazmin again but I am extremely disapointed with her workers service. So I requested a quote from Euforia Eventos and their prices aren't too bad and it seems that the communication is wonderful, responses in 2 days and she understands (or seems to) understand my vision. As far as the resort is concerned, I really loved it there and the authentic feel while I was there. It was relaxed and I considered it small because we didn't get lost (as opposd to others we went to see). I'm not a modern girl so a lot of the other resorts turned me off. I liked the privacy of the Now Sapphire, having the private beach then private ceremony after. Plus, they're a family resort and in all honesty, I love my family and would not seclude any little ones The basics from my package I am going to utilize, but I am hiring my own cigar roller, fireworks, and DJ. I am going with a more romantic feel with the relaxation of beach. I just have so many ideas lol I must condense and not over-do it. Please share pictures of your wedding if possible, or if anyone has seen any reviews of euforia eventos, I'd appreciate it!

Can someone give me any information on mini individual cakes like Tammy the host had? I think it is super cute and was interested in cost, etc? I'm also going to ask my WC about it. -

Wow that's a wonderful and extremely flattering gown -
I believe the quote you were getting was probably the day pass at $65. Outside vendor fee is $300 for each, but Anel can and did give us the flat rate $300 fee. Since I last posted she gave us the ok and was not charging us 2 day passes for our wedding planner and her assistant. I am working with Yazmin because I don't wanna stress anymore then what I am with travel agent, bookings, decor, etc. By hiring Yazmin we will have the price of our decor and extras downpacked and we're already counting roughly $100/ea (since we're not doing the ceremony seat cover set up charge cause we have different chairs we're using. We're (me and the fiance) are saving a bunch because we have about 15 rooms we put deposits on so we're definitely bringing plenty of service. Our travel agent got great rates, but also got the Now to give us complimentary rooms so our 7 night stay is paid for (hotel only!). But we have so many family going we're going to stay there the full trip and we may not have time to take a honeymoon since most guests are coming back to the state before they leave back to Europe, we're going to upgrade to the Gouverneur Suite for the price we would've paid if we were paying for our stay. Hopefully then I can give my (upgrade based on availability) to my sister (M.O.H). I sent an email last week to Anel regarding the price per person extra cause we have a handful of kids and since they get a special menu, I would like to know if they have a "special" price. Also if the florist they use have black magic roses, cause we get the bouquet, corsages, one centerpiece, and boutonniere as part of the Divine Package. ALSO found out I can request my photographer because although he isn't primarily for that resort, he is still employed with Adventure Photos so I spoke to him on facebook and he told me to email and request him and now it's confirmed! Thank goodness!! Photography is a big thing for me. Right now we're getting a lot more reservations that we expected and we expanded our guest list a tad and wow! We had a guarantee of 23 or so, now we're at a definite 40. Our budget is starting to seem low for the amount of people, but I'll try to gear away from the amount we're spending and just looking forward to everyone taking the time to be there for us on our special day!

Hi Lianee, I have heard back from the NOW as I am in the process of hiring Yazmin to deal with them directly. They are starting to aggrivate me as Anel told me I wouldn't be able to hire outside vendors, which idk who she is to tell me that since with Sandra it is fine and I don't see that anywhere on the contract so I am awaiting a response. I specified that I wanted Jhankarlo, unfortunately the coordinator or head hancho from Adventure Photos told me he is no longer with the company, so guess what. We're back to also looking for someone. This is sincere crap. I am beyondddd upset! Not to mention, for additional ppl past our divine package, its $105+service.. That is un-be-lieve-able! I am in absolute shock. I am beyond stressed right now.

They have various resort photographers. We were lucky and got an amazingggg photographer. His name is Jhankarlo and he did our photos there which we loved and eventually used as our engagement photos. He's in our package, upon request, but also we're contracting him on the side for our ttd at the cenotes for another $900. Which includes entry to the cenotes, all photos on CD, and I believe it's 4 hours. Just alone at the cenotes he says the entry is $200. This is his flicker acct: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jhankarloamaro/ His FB: http://www.facebook.com/Jhankarloamaro?ref=ts Email: [email protected] He's great and we lovedddd working with him! My wedding date is August 24, 2012. I received confirmation from Sandra months ago but now received an email from Anel saying my c.c. was never charged and for me to double check. Question, what did everyone chose for their wedding ceremony time? I saw a wedding there last year (site visit) and it was at 6pm and I thought it was super late. I originally said 4:30 but is 5:00pm better? I figure time states 5:00pm, give or take 5minutes or so.. 5:05/5:10, 5:30 it ends then champagne pictures pictures pictures (cocktail somewhere in btwn that).. by 6:30 it should be sunsetting? I want a nice skyblue for pictures. Then 7:00pm reception. Anel asked me about the reception/ceremony/cocktail area since there was a discrepency on the deposit paperwork that I guess Sandra made a typo. Anyone else having a ceremony/cocktail on the beach? I'm doing a stand up cocktail since we'll be constantly taking pictures a lot of moving around.

Show me your SAVE THE DATES!!
babestaaa replied to cupcake1382's topic in Share your Wedding & Engagement Stories!
Did them myself with my fiance. Got cardstock and printed/cutted them accordingly. Luggage tags were originally table number placecards (or so it says on the box) We purchased at Michaels with a coupon and all in all with postage, and every little cost, including the stickers cost $63 for 25 mailed out. I've included the front, back, envelope, and back of envelope pictures. The sealable stickers are from shutterfly.com. -

Well for our wedding he is booked with the resort so he can't give me pricing. But he will freelance for you I am sure. I'm sure he won't charge much, he's too sweet and speaks english perfect! I wish you the best of luck. I cannot wait till next year He works for secrets, dreams, and now resorts. I'm sure he'll send you other clients he has done.
