  1. Our second Invitation Giveaway Winner has chosen our Natural Oilcloth Elegance design, and I just thought you may like to see the invitation set example. We also announced our THIRD INVITATION GIVEAWAY today on our blog - we're getting a really great response from our winning couples and so excited to be introducing new designs! Â
  2. Thanks everyone! Sorry if the information was confusing - from now through the end of May, we are simply hosting our contests to give away sets of the invitations as we launch our eight new invite designs. Each of them is hand-made, personalized with elements of traditional or modern Mexico and really beautiful! The cost is in-line with other handmade invitation companies, and we will be flexible and work with our clients! Â We are currently taking a limited amount of orders for the invite designs we have completed based on our schedule and beginning in June of 2011, we will be taking and processing unlimited invitation orders for weddings! For now, we'll continue to post our new designs (two more of which we'll be releasing this weekend!) and next summer, we'll be taking orders! Thanks to everyone who showed interest! Â
  3. Our first free invitation contest winner is a Riviera Maya couple - yippee! Getting married January 21, 2011, they selected our Rosa Mexicana design, so I thought I'd share a few photos of the sample we put together for them! Hope you like it!
  4. Just one little tidbit of info and piece of advice for Dreams Villamagna brides that I thought may be helpful! In general, the area of Nuevo Vallarta tends to get quite windy in the late afternoon (around 3ish) and usually stays that way until around sunset. Ladies, when you are thinking about your hairstyle for the wedding day, I suggest having it pulled back (for sure) and perhaps having the salon (or yourself, your mom, your friend, your own stylist) pull it back a bit tighter than you'd really like it as the wind will definitely loosen the style throughout the evening! Best wishes to you all!
  5. I'm not entirely sure how it works in Cabo, but in Puerto Vallarta it is always recommended that each couple provide a "guideline form" to their coordinator to pass along to the DJ, particularly if you aren't familiar with him or are concerned about the music. List 10 artists/songs you love as well as songs/artists you really don't want to hear; any decent DJ should be able to use this as a guide to provide great music to start with and then continue to play what your guests are responding to in order to keep them on the dance floor all night long! Good luck!
  6. Hi Joe! Congratulations - it is great to see a groom on the forum! My suggestion, if you are already a bit nervous, would be to look for an independent wedding coordinator who can help you from start to finish - finding a venue that suits you, working to contract your vendors, planning your day and being present to make sure that it goes smoothly while you enjoy every moment! I'm sure your wedding will be amazing! Best of luck with everything!
  7. I agree. Tipping someone who has exceeded your expectations is a really great way to say Thank You! I think cash is honestly the most practical as gifts are difficult to purchase for someone you don't truly know! If your coordinator has been really helpful, definitely provide her with a thank you card and tip following your event!
  8. Thanks - we love it too! And the invite that comes from the board is going to be absolutely amazing for whatever couple wins the set we are gifting!!!
  9. Congratulations on your wedding! I LOVE the starfish towel idea - really unique! You've provided me with inspiration for a new wedding invitation design for our company to create! Thanks!!! (And happy to hear that your granddaughter is doing better!) Happy Marriage!
  10. Seems like every couple is now putting so much more thought into their weddings these days - starting with the invitation! Good work, you guys! The invite really sets the tone for the celebration, and we've found so many couples looking for Mexican-themed wedding invitations lately (obviously, as we are located in Mexico), so we are responding! Just thought I'd share a peek of the photo collage we put together showing the materials for our new Rosa Mexicana invitation design! These are going to be super unique and a perfect way to get guests all ready for a destination wedding in Mexico! I love seeing everyone's invitation designs - so creative and fun to look at!
  11. Thanks Smidge! Actually, this isn't for my wedding, it was created as an inspiration for a new wedding invitation we have designed for our business! But I love the ideas you mentioned; in fact, we did something similar with the tiles last month at a wedding in PV! Great idea for future brides! Sounds like you were a great help with creative ideas at your daughter's wedding!
  12. Just wanted to give you Mexican destination brides a peek at the Rosa Mexicana design board we created for one of our new invitation designs! It is fresh, beachy and chic - we love it! Thought it may be of some inspiration to you all in the planning process! Good luck!
  13. Thought some of you may like to see this as you are planning for your Mexican destination wedding! We created this design board as inspiration for one of our new Mexican-themed wedding invitation designs! We love it and are super excited about it! Thought it might serve as inspiration for some of you! Happy Planning!
  14. You know, it may not hurt for you future Dreams brides to be honest with Rebeca and let her know that several past brides have not been happy with the hotel DJ. She is a very reasonable coordinator, and while it may not be in her hands to make a final decision about a change, she'd rather receive positive feedback than complaints from her couples, so I'm sure she'd at least do some inquiring into a possible solution! Sometimes it is better to go straight to the source!
