My TA is Jenny Brahm with Escapes Unlimited. I will post her number later. There was no deposit required to hold the rooms for our group. I am glad she did not require a deposit to hold rooms because about 35% of our guest flaked out. About a month after FI and I decided to pay for our room because we were not sure that we would have enough room nights to qualify for any promotions and we wanted that cost out of the way. In the end we did qualify for the comp nights so she issued us a refund.

Just a reminder about TAs and group benefits. Your travel agent should be able to arrang the same benefits through the wedding sales department. I will admit that we had to fight to have then combine the groups (we had some guest booking under my aunts membership). In the end they agreed but we were so frustrated that we told all of our guest to book under the TA and not my aunts membership. Our planning process has been so stress free since we made that decision. Neither we nor our guest have to deal with Miami at all. My TA has handled everything with booking and travel. I was also happy that round trip transfers were included with the room stay. If your guest book with the resort they pay extra for tranfers unless they are staying for 7 days or more. They still get the palace resort credits. I am sooooooo glad we did this. Our TA has confirmed our free events with the resort and we were copied on the email. AND here is the best part, she issued the refund for our comp nights!!!! Yes ladies you heard right. We leave in one week and we have ALREADY RECEIVED THE REFUND FOR OUR COMP NIGHTS. I have heard of so many girls having to wait weeks and months after the wedding to receive their refund from Miami but my TA has already refunded us. I say all of that to say, you may want to double check with your TA to see if they can negotiate the same promotions with group sales department. It may really be worth your while. BTW: when my TA was handling guest that at the time were going to book under my aunts membership, FI and I decided that would give her a gift or tip for the hassle. Fortunately we were able to do everything with her so she is getting credit for all rooms. I think a gift may still be in order.

Hey Ladies, I have 2 weeks until I leave for Cancun. I feel like I still have a million things to do! I would love to be done with it after the wedding and just move on to being a newlywed, but my grandmother has decided to throw both a post wedding shower (I didnt have a bridal shower) and an AHR when we return.

I go in the morning to choose my hair and have my clip ins made. I am still on the fence about the length and color. I figure I should go long because I could always trim or cut them. I am really debating if I want highlights in them or just my natural hair color. So many decisions urrrggghh!!

SweetLe, If you are not into weaves clip-ins are a great option. They are basically thin tracks attached to small clips. You clip them into your hair in the areas that you want to add length, thickness, or even color. When you are done with the style you take them out. There are a few youtube videos out there. I so agree!!!! I usually just KIH (keep it honest) but I understand you not wanting to hurt their feelings. Options: 1. Forget to pack it. Make a whole production of it the day of the wedding so that its believable lol. You will still need to explain how you forgot theirs but just happen to have another. 2. Make changes to the one that they have given you. 3. Buy what you want and tell them "I really liked the one you made but when I saw this one I fell in love and had to have it!!!" They will not want to interupt your happiness. 4. Wear the one you want to the ceremony, but take pictures in both so that they will still feel like you love theiri gift. I would probably pick #3. This sucks!!! I was going to use the points for our wedding video! Now I need to do a last minute search for a videographer. I was only going to use the MP videographer because I could use the points. I cant see myself paying for the MP video, the quality just doesnt warrant the use of my hard earned money. I am so sick of their bait and switch policy. They get all of us to book our wedding with them based on all of these promotions and credits only to tell us a month or two before that they will not honor them!

I agree with Mocha. Go with Vera at Davids. A knock off of this dress will leave you disappointed

My father and my grandparents came to town this weekend for my dress fitting (all of my family lives about 800 miles from me). We had a great weekend and I was so sad to see them go. I was really nervous about the fitting because I just did not think that I was in love with the dress anymore. Well after ordering the dress a year ago I was surprised that I loved it again. Being completely honest I would have prefered something a little more simple for the destination wedding (when I bought the dress we were having a traditional wedding here), but I really do love the dress. Yayyy!

Thanks ladies! No instruction manuel but there are instructional videos on youtube. If we dont figure it out it could make for some interesting pictures lol.

Ladies These are not knockoffs but they are a great price! I know we are all about saving money on this forum. I am so excited!!!! I finally ordered my bridesmaids dresses. If any of you have read my previous post you may know that at one point all of my bridesmaids had dropped out on me. Well, I could not order dresses because my bridesmaids were an ever changing situation. We think we have it all in order now but you never know lol. Anyway, I am a member of the Ideeli website and today they had a sale on the Ravon convertible dress. It was only $69!!!!!!!!!!!!! And one size fits all!!!!!!!!!! And in my wedding color!!!!!!!!!!! Yipeeee!!!!! Needless to say I ordered 4 for all the girls (my treat because they are spending so much and using vacay time just to come). I am so happy! I love the versatility of this dress and I am sure that they will all be able to wear it again and again (even if they gain weight lol).
