Hi Bee, Thanks for answering my questions about Elke. It is good to know that she can do other scripts. The one the hotel sent would literally take 2 minutes to go through and it had zero personality. Regarding your review, the website is trying to switch to a more wiki based style, so they want everyone to post their reviews on the wiki pages for the hotels. Thanks for all your replies Bee! I have one more question. Did you give a ceremony script to Elke, or did you just tweak the standard one a bit? The ceremony I want is nothing like the script Yanna emailed me, and I worry that it will be too much for her. It only takes about 5 minutes to read, but some people sound awful reading out loud if they don't know the passage already. How did you work this? Oh, also, do you have any idea how much your dad tipped her? I don't want to be insulting, but I don't want to go way overboard either.

I wanted to know as well, how were the mosquitoes at the resort? Were they as bad as you feared? Were all the poses of you two during the cocktail hour guided by Arnaud, or did you come up with those on your own? They look nice but I'm not sure if it is quite my style. I'm not so high fashion. Hi Uninspired! Have fun at your shower and bachelorette party! MissTaken, your dress is gigantic! I love that it is the exact opposite of the normal "Beach Wedding" dresses. It will look fantastic in your photos. Is it heavy or are the layers pretty light? This is my dress. I tried on far too many without finding anything and ended up having my mom buy this off her local craigslist. It arrived, fit perfectly, and I can't be happier. The train is a lot longer then anything I thought I would want, but it has a lovely french bustle so after the ceremony you won't even be able to tell it is there.

I emailed Yanna to see if there would be any charge to hang up tulle I brought myself and she replied: Â Yes you must pay an extra cost, because the florist has to fix the tulle in the gazebo, I will check with her how much and how many yards you need. Â Â I think that means they are now charging to put up your decorations. We'll have to see what Bee found when she was there. Â

I wouldn't worry too much about the coordinator getting back to you so soon. In the beginning they are pretty slow because they have a TON of weddings going on all the time, but as your date approaches they'll start responding to your emails faster. Â When I first set my date I was emailing Yanna like mad, but then I realized I was still 4 months out from my date, and the girls on here had better, more specific information anyway. Plus, once I read a bunch of reviews, I realized that 80% of the things are pretty much figured out once you get to the resort. Everything else is dependent on how much extra you want to bring down with you. Â You are still 10 months away from your date. Don't stress about her getting back to you and enjoy the process. Everything will come together in the end! Â

Hi Georgie2b! Welcome to the La Romana group!  You'll find a bunch of information is already covered in this thread, so I'd recommend sitting down for a while and reading through things to see if they answer your questions.  Ultimately, whatever you choose to do will be the right decision. Everyone stresses about the timeline of their wedding day, but I've yet to read a review saying they wish they'd had dancing when they didn't or vice versa.  Good luck in the planning and I'm sure we'll see more of you around!   HermosaHoops  Â

Wow Bee, everything turned out beautiful. Your dress looked awesome, I loved the bright pinks, the photos are gorgeous.... Everything looked spectacular. Â I can't WAIT to read your review!!! Â Â If you have a second, I have a burning question. I booked HDC for our photos too. Our ceremony starts at 4 in the gazebo. Is that enough time to do pictures after the wedding, before the sun sets? Do you think I should move the ceremony time to 3:30? Â Â Congratulations again!!

Lol. I know what you mean. I really want to have "I knew the bride when she used to rock and roll" as my Father/Daughter dance, but it is kind of about her old fling with the singer... I still think it could pass, but it isn't as perfect now that I've really listened to the lyrics... Â
