I just came back from Panama yesterday and am soooo happy I went!!! The Decameron is an extremely large resort, with 3 lobbies, lots of pools, bars and restaurants, and STEEP stairs and driveways to walk up to the rooms (unless you book a ground level oceanview room). The grounds and property are well taken care of and nice to walk around at night, they have these enormous Corotu trees which are a sight to see, so amazing. My only complaints were the rooms, we switched from rm 2317 which was in the oldest set of buildings (10-20s) to the newer buildings (40-49) to rm 4133. Both weren't much different from one another, there was mold in the shower and wasn't very clean, had a little damp smell too which either went away or I got used to it. The staff are very nice and accommodating as well, they were all great. I was super busy coordinating my wedding and shopping around all week, I hardly had any pool or beach time (2hrs tops!), but managed to catch the staff setting up for a 5pm wedding on Sunday Sep. 26. Here are the pics I took, sorry I didn't get better ones.

Vlynnw,  My colors are very similar to yours and I'm doing similar bouquets of orange callas and green cym. orchids for my MOH too! Mine will be white callas and green orchids. Here are my inspiration pics (but with less roses) of all my wedding colors Bridesmaids colors + MOH in purple (groomsmen in light green s/s linen shirts) My bridesmaids will be holding purple callas and green orchids, since my sis is wearing purple and bouquet is coral/green  My centerpiece inspiration   My colors are tangerine and green apple, our flowers are all green cymbidium orchids and orange calla lilies. The centerpieces I want though also have white hydrangeas in them.  BM bouquet  Â

LOL you're right?!?!? Thanks Pam!!! haha I can't believe I haven't seen that style when I was searching months ago through all the designer websites. Can't believe the shop lied to me! (It doesn't even say Allure on my invoice either... hmmmm) Either way I'm going to change it up to make it "one of a kind" by adding a ruffle shoulder strap and changing it to a sweetheart neckline + I got a good deal! Â

YAY! Another May bride!! Congrats!!

Here's my dress, it's a ONE OF A KIND sample I fell in love with, came back to the store with my mom for a 2nd look and it was 25% off!! How could I say no!!... I asked them to keep it there (so I don't have to worry about hiding it from my FI) and will still need alterations closer to the wedding date   Back

I've also been in contact with a lot of wedding coordinators, which have been very helpful so if you contact a few I'm sure that they might help you choose a location. Â El Valle also has a nice property - Los Mandarinos, I've seen a few weddings done here when I was looking up photographers. Its really pretty! I'm actually having mine offsite the Decameron and at the Buenaventura. Â

Bye Tris! The same thing almost happened to me but thankfully things worked out. Now I have more than enough seats and more to spare! Sometimes travel agents/airlines say they're all booked and end up adding another plane... good luck planning for a month earlier than you expected! I am still torn with my date but will likely bump it up to May 26th to have it earlier in the week. I'll be finalizing things with the hotel on my site visit on the 20th! I can't wait!!! I'm dyyying for a vacation!!

Hi and Welcome Lana! Choosing a hotel location is probably one of the hardest things, I agree. I personally have been to the Moon Palace and it remains to be one of the nicest and best hotels I've ever been to!! If you're truly torn between the two I'd decide based on the vacation costs for your guests, and wedding costs/packages from each hotel. Â Hope that helps! This forum is amazing!
