  1. any chance you can cut and paste the list for us post-poor brides?? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!
  2. Hi Hermosahoops! - If the waterproof badges are sold, could you tell me where you bought them from? Thanks!
  3. I completely agree with everyone's comments so far... I think being 1yr away people just don't know and don't realize the importance of informing a bride of these things in advance!! *geez!!* is there a chance people can decide later and arrange/book their own villas a few months from now? ps - i got engaged in Dundas, ON when me and my now FI went skydiving at SWOOP!
  4. I'd like to see more pictures if possible... anyone else care to share? thanks!
  5. Congratulations Janine!! Your wedding looked beautiful as did YOU!! Thanks for sharing everything with all of us
  6. I finally got around to buying a dozen of these for my bridal party and extras since they just make such great gifts! It just so happened that the item was 5% off yesterday ($17.09/ea) and I purchased my order for 12. The seller was even so nice to even give me a further discount for buying a bulk quantity! I can't wait to get them!
  7. I think you girls are right... I might just have to distribute as many as possible in advance. Would it be a horrible thing of me to do it at the airport before check-in??? Or is that tacky and too last minute? I just don't know if I can actually drive around across town and back delivering 100 packages off.
  8. How did you manage to get the Webster Spanish books for only 42 cents each? Do you have the ebay sellers name still? thanks! I found your post soooo useful and thank you for all the great links!
  9. Im having the same dilemma!! I am expecting 95-100 guests and that's a LOT of stuff to lug down with me so I'm at a complete loss as to what to do. Option 1: Assemble them beforehand and distribute them individually to everyone at the airport, which gives me a good excuse not to go overboard and stuff them too much, so I might just give a bag, a few brochures/iteneraries and a travel mug. Option 2: Have everything shipped down south and have the hotel prepare them for when we arrive/check-in..... Not sure what to do!
  10. I absolutely LOOOOVE your invitation set! They look amazing and certainly can't compete with you! .. but I was wondering if you can share where you found the design for the coat of arms logo? I'm basically looking for something very similar for my passport invites. Any pointers would be great!
  11. I'd like to order some mugs and would appreciate some discount coupons if you're still willing to share!? ( jaysan 112 at yahoo dot com)
  12. YAY! A fellow Canadian May bride!! Congrats and welcome to the forum thread!!
  13. Great Job Amanda! I like how you basically included the essentials but do you mind me asking approx. what was the total cost per bag/per person? I'm still debating on whether I can afford to do them for so many guests. Even at 1 per couple I'm still lookin at about 40-50 bags.
  14. Thanks! I'll be back for this once I get enought posts to DL attachments! If anyone would be kind enough to email them to me that would be greatly appreciated!!! (PM me for my email!)
  15. Well... I was originally planning on a 5pm wedding as well, thinking that I'd be timing the end of the ceremony perfectly for pictures at sunset. When I told my photographer this, he said there's no way we could get all the shots + sunset beach shots I wanted, so he suggested the alternative was to take photos before the ceremony. A lot of people do this and you can often tell in their slideshows where they have a shot of the bride walking up behind the groom and then capture the moment he first sees her. Very touching! but since I want that first and only moment of the FIRST LOOK be of me walking down the church aisle, so I bumped my wedding up to 3pm, then have 2hrs for pictures, cocktails and then dinner. Also depends on how big or small your group is, mine will be huge but if yours is fairly small then 45min might be enough time for you! Hope that helps
  16. Hi emerald- I'm from Ontario too and would like to know where you got your supplies from?
  17. Hi Jen, Not sure if you've read my other posts in this thread but I'm actually NOT a Decameron bride, but will be staying there with my guests for the week of the wedding next May. I was down there doing a site visit for both of my hotels (Decameron and Buenaventura) and meeting wedding coordinators. As for tips, I'd definately say if you're having a beach wedding to get the seat covers. The thing I didn't like was the beach set up was literally infront of a restaurant, just off the patio steps so it was extremely crowded. The garden/tree wedding looks to be a little more private and you still can see the water in the distance, but its not the beach!! The same goes for the dinner reception, you can choose from Cafe Med or Sushi Samba, where Cafe Med is restaurant where the beach weddings are held infron of, and Sushi Samba is located higher in the property, again probably more private and overlooks a beautiful infinity pool. I personally liked the food at Cafe Med better, plus it has a band!
