Are there any companies out there that offer Destination Wedding insurance for brides outside of US? I am from Canada and would be interested in obtaining a policy for my wedding, but all my research is proving that no one out there covers this? Any Canadian brides out there have any other resources?

If anyone has recent pics or reviews of this resort I'd surely love to hear from them, especially from Canadians on your group rate quotes. I've gotten a few for May/2011 around $1167 taxes in... I think that's pretyy good? TripAdvisor reviews for the RDP really are hit/miss!? But I'm thinking of having all my guests stay here for the week and just have my wedding at another nearby hotel for 1 night (The Bristol Buenaventura, which is gorgeous but too much $$$ for 1wk stay) mainly because they have a horse/carriage and a chapel that will do a Catholic ceremony and a beautiful outdoor courtyard with a 200yr old Corutu tree that I saw and fell in love with and now can't picture my wedding anywhere else!!

LOL After speaking with more family members, I think most of them are really hype about going to Panama and one cousin said "I'd rather pay the extra $300 to go to Panama than save $300 and go to Punta Cana again." lol I already had figured my fam wouldn't want to go to PC again, but I fell in love with Phil Steingards pictures at the Majestic and couldn't help but keep it as my 2nd option if Panama doesn't work out. I'm finding it hard especially since my resort isn't a typical AI, (OH YA! I changed my mind about RDC and am working on negotiating better rates for the entire week at the BB instead!) so booking flights & hotel stay separately, and staying within a reasonable budget is my challenge. I really don't want my guests to spend more than $1500-1700ea... definitely under $2000! Steph - Just curious if Wedding by Oceans charges a fee? I know 'The Wedding Holiday' does not, whereas LUXE does, but do not want to use LUXE anyway. Initially just working with 2 TAs and seeing what my quotes come back as... I had posted something similar on Trip Advisor and someone had suggested Chaa Creek. I looked at their website and the resort looks great! Only thing is it'll be rainy season in Belize during my month. Hopefully you find something within your budget!!

I''m considering 2 options: 1) Panama - 1wk stay at the RDC but for 1 day & night have my wedding offsite at the Bristol Buenaventura. 2) Punta Cana - in love with the Majestic Colonial, PPR and MPPC I'm super excited to get started!
