Oh yeah, and I contacted my daughters school today about how to get in touch with her teachers to get her schoolwork in advance, and they told me to write a letter, but try to make the trip sound educational. ha ha, how do I make going to Mexico for her moms wedding sound like it's really for education????!!! I think I'll just put that her education is very important but this is a special event that she couldn't miss and that we will ensure she gets all of her work done. And another thing, my daughter bailed on my "legal day." Lol, she has more important things to do, like going to NYC with her friend. Ha ha, oh well, I guess she's at that age!

Hmm, airfare is a tricky one right now. I know there are still "deals" out there but I think the standard pricing is on the rise b/c of the oil prices. I really wouldn't know what to advise with that one.

Mocha, they're both white gold, one is 18k and the other is 14k so I have no idea how they will fare in the future. I am just going to have to keep my fingers crossed that it all works out. We can't afford any changes right now. I've paid for my entire families trip to Mexico at this point, 6 people! Ahhh, talk about stressful!

Hey girls, Sorry to hear about some of the negative stuff going on. I have some negative news of my own. I picked up my wedding band this weekend and I don't like it with my ring. They are not a set but they seemed to work together in the store when I picked it out. 1) the coloring is off, which they say they can fix so they are doing rhodium plating (sp?) on my engagement ring and 2) the fit is wrong. I'm hoping it will mesh better when the coloring is fixed, but I don't know. So, I'm a little sad about that. Here's a pic. Thoughts? But, on a positive note, greys girl your dress is gorgeous! And everyone is getting so close!!!

We ordered just a 2 person heart cake for cutting purposes which was $20.00 and then we gave our guests the choice of chocolate cake or raspberry cheesecake from the sweets menu. Bumping this thread to share my success too! While I haven't lost 30 lbs, I am happy with the changes that have happened with my body. Although I've fallen off the wagon a bit lately, I took a pic today in the same swim suit I tried on back in January and can totally see the difference. Yay!! I had worked out regularly for years, but never changed my eating habits aside from eating skim, low fat, etc. With the upcoming wedding, I want to be in the best shape of my life. I"ve amped up my workouts and have been eating better. The weight just started falling off! Here's the Jan/ Before pic: And after:

Sure, I was quoted $225.00 for 50. In the end, fiance didn't like the idea so we are doing a small couples cake for us, and then serving single slices of cake for our guests, raspberry cheesecake and chocolate cake. They get to choose. And ladies, I paid my final bill today!! 45 days to go! I am so ready, well not really. Ready to go, but only if someone else finishes all the work I need to do! ha ha Happy St. Patty's Day girls! Hope some of you are getting to go out and celebrate on the town. Me, I'm off to my second job bartending in a few short hours. Gonna be a long night, and a super long Friday! Gonna be gorgeous here tomorrow though, 78 degrees. I may have to skip out a lil early!

I agree on your comments about the Bachelor. It was definitely a strained relationship we were seeing! I don't think they will work out in the end. If they're having knock down, drag out fights this early in the game... no chance. My band came in today! I have a feeling I'm going to have to have both the band and my engagement ring sized though. I have tiny fingers, and my band couldn't even be ordered in my size. Boo, so that'll probably be almost $200 in sizing. They have to use the ball method. And then the FI's ring is too big. This was after the original he picked out was too small. Sheesh, we just can't win. Ya'lls cover ups are adorable! Good luck at the BD shoot today Meggers! I am anxiously awaiting mine. I'm nervous to see them.

Colleen, I plan on using the time before the ceremony to get all the pics I can with family, like me and the bridesmaids, my daughter and I, my mother and I, etc. And the photographer can also get the shots of the guys altogether before hand. That way, post ceremony, we should only need some shots of us with our parents and immediate family, then just us.

It was good. We did it at a Bed and Breakfast in Solomons, really nice place! The girl had champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, hair and make up, tanning, and extra shoes and jewelry. She made me very comfortable but I'm still scared to see the pics, only b/c I don't have a "sexy face." I wish I had smiled in a few more just to make sure I have some shots to choose from! The make up person could have been better. I really wasn't a fan of my makeup. I ended up getting out my own make up bag and trying to fix it. That made me nervous about someone doing my wedding day make up, but all in all it was a great time!
