I just emailed my WC with some questions. I saw a pic of the Plaza with white chair covers and sashes and was wondering if they are standard or if the bride brought those. I also asked about the Christmas lights so I will post when I hear back.

Hi there. You've come to the best place to have all your questions answered. I think for the packages, it depends on both your budget and what you want. You will most definitely be "adding onto" whichever package you choose. As far as your ceremony site, again it's a personal preference. The sky location is unique and offers beautiful views. It does come with a price though, so you will have to take that into consideration. There are plenty of group meeting spots at the resort, but I believe the Zavaz Plaza and the beach are the most popular for receptions. There's a yoga platform on the beach as well which is nice, but I've heard different answers as to whether it's available for receptions or just cocktails. Do you have a travel agent? Have you been assigned a wedding coordinator yet? You should just start reading, reading, reading this thread. It's a lot but you will learn so much! Good luck!

LoL Jaime. To be honest, the first time I went on there, I wasn't that into it. But, now I'm addicted to it. It's basically tons of crafty people all in one place with tons of ideas. There are bouquets, bouts, hair flowers, decor, cake toppers, shoe clips, jewelry, etc. I ordered a necklace. I'm not quite sure about it just yet, as I'm not sure if it will look too "fake" but we will see. It's pretty. So, just go to etsy.com, set up an account and then start browsing. As you find something you like, you can click save to favorites. Then, all of the things you clicked on are right on your "home" page. If you want to contact a seller, you simply click contact on one of their items for sale, and go from there. Their profile will also give you reviews and additional pics of things they have sold in the past. You have my email. Feel free to ask any more questions!

Maggie, I'm gonna start searching for that type of stuff. I will let you know what I find!! And, I believe I'm just going to purchase my flowers from someone on etsy. I'm nervous b/c I'm not a very good visualizer. She is doing orange and white mini calla lillies, asiatic lillys in fuschia w/turquoise ribbon and gems. Does it sound too busy with all the colors? Or should it be okay? I'm SOOOO indecisive!

I'm going to order them through this girl. For the bouquets, I'm trying to convince my crafty aunt to help me DIY. I had a friend get married a few weeks ago in Mexico and she had her BM's carry a single flower. I'm like hmm, that would save some money!! I think I will do the same for the parents flowers. Match momma's dresses and then make dad's similar. I think we are pretty much good with who's coming, at least I hope. I don't want it to be too huge! But, I'm guessing some people will try to book closer to the wedding date. Jaime, did you ever ask your TA about the availability our week? Added your info. Check out etsy. It's fabulous!! Although I'm having a hard time finding a nice silk flower corsage that I love that's not too overhwhelming. Women have little arms and they make these things huge!! Lol!

Yeah, I remember your horror story with this, and I'm kind of in the same boat. Not many rooms booked at the 3 nights, but I'm sure that's the discount I will get, which blows. You're bringing that much business there, they should at least make their incentives worth while. Anyways, I'm just going to assume it's the least amount, and I hope yours gets sorted out, and they give you your money!!! What were the costs associated with the symbolic marriage in Mexico and what you paid in MD? I'm in MD too, Charles County. I think you're from Upper Marlboro right. I got my wedding dress from CM Bridal there. MY WC has said if I can get a flight to get me there early on Thurs, she will arrange all the meetings on Thurs/Fri so we should be good. Hopefully it all works out.
