  1. Hmm, the colors work on the bouts. (fuschia flower with a turquoise and green feather behind) I know they are very different ideas and I just really want for them to mesh together, but maybe it's not working. I may take the pink rhinestones off and replace them with the clear. Maybe that would make the shoes look better as a whole.
  2. Hey ladies, I had wanted to find hot pink heels, but wasn't having much luck. So, when I came across comfy, cute champagne heels for only $9, I bought them. Then, I thought I would dress 'em up myself. I like the peacock feathers and I was excited about it, but my fiance made a face. He wasn't a fan. And, then upon sending pics to my friends, 2 more said EH with 2 liking them. I know I should just do what I want, but I figured I would get all of your opinions. They will be under my dress, so you really won't see them anyway, but I worry if a lot of people don't like the feather looks, then they may not like my bouquets (as the girl is considering adding some feathers.) Hmmm....... Thoughts?
  3. It's beautiful! Congratulations. Everything looked great. Can't wait to see the wedding pics!! Congratulations Mrs.!!
  4. Congratulations Bahiabride!!! Such wonderful news. Question - were you off BC when you went to your wedding? I got off for a while and broke out. So, I'm nervous to get off before the wedding, but if we aren't off of it, then doesn't it take a while?
  5. http://www.marilynskeepsakes.com/products.php?criteria=flip+flops Cute flip flops that you can have personalized to say MRS!! Shipping cost blows though unless you find other stuff you want. They did have a cool cling on for a glass vase, that you can monogram. Check it out girls!
  6. I haven't heard anything from the girls on here, but I have researched a little and have found that Paradise Catamarans has some great reviews. How big is your wedding? Ours is right on the border, at 50 guests, as that's their max. I can't decide if I would want the snorkel excursion, just a boat ride, a booze cruise or what though. I guess I don't want the sit down dinner b/c we are hosting a private reception.
  7. Great, thanks ladies for you input!! Oh, and I posted in a thread about "etsy" showing what items I have bought. It's a great thread with some really cute ideas if you want to check it out, but be warned ~ IT IS ADDICTING!!
  8. I LOVE ETSY!! I love this thread too! So far, I have purchased my bouts, my bridal flowers, and a necklace/earring set. I haven't received a pic of the bouquets just yet, so I'm nervous and anxious! Here are the bouts, and my necklace and earrings. The pics look much bigger than the jewelry actually is. The bouts are by: VanitiesLove The jewelry is by: Maylui My bouquets are being made by: Modagefloral (which stands for modern vintage - I love it!!)
  9. Yay, I finally got word that my beach ceremony and Zavaz Plaza are confirmed ) Our ceremony is at 5pm. Do you think 7pm is too late to start the reception without a cocktail hour in between?
  10. Thank you! After doing some research, I have decided my first choice is Glen Echo Park and my second is Georgetown at Cadys Alley. Glen Echo Park is a bit of a hike for me though
  11. Hi Ladies, Any suggestions for a nice area for an engagement shoot? The photographer is from Arlington and I'm in southern Maryland so somewhere in the middle would be fabulous!! Thanks for any advice!
  12. Lol! That's right. It's your day and you do what you want!! I had one friend try to convince me to get married at Disney b/c she loves it there. But, she was just thinking about my guests. I'm like, hello, I'm thinking of my guests as well, and trying to keep the cost down. But, push come to shove, it's my day and as you said ~ come or don't come, I'm getting married on a beach and it's going to be great!
  13. Actually, this one has more of the ceremony locations. The one you had listed was her March visit. She visited again maybe last month or the month before, and focused more on the ceremony/reception locations. ) http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/gallery/album/view/id/8370/user_id/30664 Do you know if they charge you to do the sand ceremony? I haven't thought about that too much just yet.
  14. Hi ladies, Did any of you married gals take your guests on a catamaran tour? We are considering doing something like this for either a welcome dinner, a tour/group activity, or even maybe the reception. {B2B's feedback welcome as well!! )} Just wondering if anyone had been on one, and if it was recommended. Thank you!!
  15. Yes, there are two gazebo locations. About 20-30 pages back maybe, JaimeCF2 (don't remember all the digits - sorry) posted pics of the beach locations. One is near the pier you see in a lot of pictures, and the other is closer to the beach BBQ I think. The first has a ramp to come down, the second a stairway. On the Lomas site, there are options for the gazebo decor. I am doing one that's $220.00 and it includes I believe two sheers, and two sets of flowers. Hope this helps! )
  16. Hey Brandy, Yes he's a Boston. He is the greatest dog ever! )
  17. Happy Wedding Day Amanda and Chong!! I hope your day is going perfectly, and we all can't wait to hear the details!
  18. Awe, I love all of the doggies!! My Zeus is a spoiled rotten little guy!! LOVE HIM TO PIECES ~ wish he could come to Mexico. I actually bought him a bandana that says "10 reasons why I should have been best man." Can't wait to show the FI.
