  1. Hi Tundeneha, to the AS forum. Congrats on choosing your resort. Around about page 1140 (??) I posted pictures of an amazing wedding at AS. To avoid looking like a complete idiot, I won't even try to guess the culture, but it was beautiful! To answer some of your questions: 1) There is a day pass fee. I believe the price is listed on the lomas travel website. http://weddings.lomas-travel.com/planning/ 2) Is that the Zavaz Terrace? I believe it is, and if so, check out the reviews for AS, and there's a bride named destinationmr (or something similar to that - can't remember exactly) and she held her reception there. It's nice but for a smaller group I believe. How many guests are you having? 3) I think OOT bags are a personal preference. I am bringing them but have found them to be more expensive than I thought, especially since you have to carry so much extra luggage to get all the stuff there. But, I think the guests will enjoy them, and they're traveling a long way for our weddings. So, I guess it's worth it in the end!! Good luck planning!
  2. Looks beautiful, but I agree with your idea of removing the flower and adding the belt!! Good luck deciding.
  3. How much are your maracas? Do you deliver to Puerto Moreles or how do the people get the maracas from you?
  4. Thanks for the info Veronica!!!
  5. Arkae – January 21, 2011 Audrey1281 – January 22, 2011 Murmel – January 24, 2011 NV&GMS – January 26, 2011 Yay for our January brides!! Have a great trip ladies. We can't wait to hear your reports back!!
  6. Hey there, can you tell me where you got these outfits? My FI likes the shirts!
  7. Wow, you girls are doing great!! Congrats to Christine. Any details on what you're doing to lose the weight?
  8. Brandy, did you go to the bridal show in Lexington Park? How was it? I wanted to go but was super tired today. I wouldn't worry about your blurt out. He's a guy and he probably didn't pay too much attention. Plus, on your day, he's going to be focused on YOU in the dress, not the actual dress itself.
  9. That sounds like a perfect plan. You'd be amazed what a good seamstress can do. I'm sure it can be altered somehow.
  10. So, the alterations appt this AM was both good and bad. We started with the bridesmaid dresses for my daughter and niece. Both have to be taken in and hemmed; one needs boning. Well, while my niece has her dress on, she starts to get sick all over the seamstresses store and her dress. Ugh, what a mess. I felt awful for the lady and her shop, but she handled the situation wonderfully. I offered to pay to have her carpets cleaned. I hope it all comes out. So, their alterations cost more than the dress. My nieces has to be dry cleaned now as well, so $130 for hers and $85.00 for my daughters. This is the not so good part. On the brighters side, I think the minor changes being made to my dress is going to make it absolutely perfect, and I can't wait to see the changes!!!!
  11. Hey there, Can you tell me how much they were? I'm trying to stop spending at this point, but I love the pashminas and maraca ideas, and I'm thinking I may go for one of them. Hmmm..... Thank you!! )
  12. That's a good question b/c if it includes all of them, I might just pay it so I can have some of the things that I like!! ) Hope someone knows!
  13. Well, we just booked our flights. Got nonstop both ways for $347. My goal was under $350 so we went ahead and snatched it up. FI asked if I would be mad if they went down. I told him I'd be more mad if they went up, and we had to pay more. So, I guess as long as I don't stalk the airfare site, I won't know any better to be mad!
  14. I agree. I do like the way you can search specifically for the vendors to find stuff, but I do miss the overall review section. Maybe there could be a way to "tag" certain vendors and locations in our general review area. ??
  15. Maybe you could incorporate some of the black and turquoise on the handle?? That might be pretty. And a boudoir, that is exciting!! I want to do one but I just don't have the extra money right now. And, I don't necessarily do "sexy." More cute and silly. Ha ha ~ Where are you gonna do it?
  16. Shootystar, I think your detailing is good. Good luck! Hope it works out for you this time!!
  17. Because it's a silky material, and I would like to sell it afterward if I can. I'm too scared that it will get ruined in the water.
  18. Yeah, I tried it on, but it was hard to tell if I would LOVE it b/c their samples are always way too big.
  19. Hey girls, I am having such a hard time deciding on a dress to purchase for my TTD. I am a little nervous about my "real" dress and the fact that as of now, I don't love it. I am taking it Saturday for some alterations and I'm hoping she can make it more of my dream dress. So, for my Knock off TTD, I can't decide if I want to go for something that if it's fabulous I may wear as my real dress, or just do something flowy that's gonna look pretty with the water scenes? Thoughts? I was considering the Adorae but it's a pretty silk, and I'm nervous about that coming from a China wholesaler.
  20. Lol, I agree. I love that morning weight. I think if I stayed there all day, I'd be happy with my size. As long as you are taking your weight at the same time of day each time, it doesn't matter if it's morning or not. I wish I had taken mine in the AM but I will just stick to evening so I know it's more accurate for me.
  21. I think any time between late November and late April is peak time b/c that's when it's colder here in the States.
  22. Marla, do you recommend the weigh-in at a certain time of day. I'm assuming since it was evening when I took the first one, I should stick with that time frame for realistic numbers. I know I weigh less in the am, but that all goes away when I eat!! )
  23. They look fabulous Maggie!! And I think you're right that you should carry them on the plane with you since you only have a few.
