  1. That was supposed to finish with "clarify" but for some reason my stupid computer always jumps to the top of the page and then I can't type down here anymore. Aggravating. Anywhoo, Maggie, thanks for the info on the hair extensions. How do those go in? I looked into the heavy duty ones and they quoted me like $700! I certainly can't afford that. I have super thin hair though so I would really like some extensions in for the special day.
  2. Melissa, The Spoons dinner is included in one or more of the packages as far as I remember. The dinner there is a preset menu, so I'm not exactly sure what it includes. The $12.50 mentioned is per person for a 2 hour cocktail party (so finger foods and drinks only). Hope this helps to
  3. Ladies, for those of who have done or are doing a welcome cocktail party, what time are you doing it? I had thought about doing it, but figured a full dinner would be best so we could go into party mode afterward. And I wondered if a cocktail party would provide enough food. I had kind of decided on just doing the Spoons reserved dinner, but am wavering on this now. Thoughts??? Thank you!
  4. Oh my goodness! That is absolutely gorgeous! Can you please tell me the breakdown of cost for this? I know I won't be able for afford it, but one can wish!!
  5. Thanks Brandy, I don't know how those couple of pounds fell off. I don't see much difference though, except some of my work pants are too big and this morning I put on a shirt and it felt too big too. My jeans seem to fit the same still and no one has noticed any difference. So, I don't know how I feel. I will just keep eating right and exercising and see if any more comes off. I just hope my dress doesn't end up too big. My seamstress said I could have gotten a smaller size even though the dress at the store fit me perfectly. It's a corset so that part will be fine, but the butt area is already being taken in. Hmm.... Congrats to Christine and Renee!!!
  6. Yay Natasha! So glad to hear everything went well. Congrats on being a MRS! Did you use the resort for hair and make up? If so, how did that go? Did you have to rent a docking station or did you bring one?
  7. Ahh, I really want to eat a bite size twix that is sitting on my desk right now!! Need to resist temptation. I ate my 100 cal bag of popcorn hoping it would fill me up. I've done so good the past few weeks!! Gotta keep it up.
  8. I'd say no need to send invites to those that replied no. Their quick decision/reply either says they have plans already or don't have the $ for a trip. They know the details should their situation change though.
  9. I'm gonna be different. I like the first because it's shaped like a heart! )
  10. Hmm, glad I uploaded on here cause I see that I need to modify the transparency in one or the other. Whoops! ) Anywhoo this is the front and back of our cards.
  11. NurseM, these particular ones are from a site called BeforetheIdos.com but you can do a search for embroidered flip flops and get other places, which I would recommend doing. They came in a little dirty and dingy looking, and the sizing was smaller than I thought. I got a size 5-6 and they barely fit.
  12. Summafool, my wedding is May 2nd in the Riviera Maya, at Azul Sensatori. ) When's yours?
  13. My dresses are turquoise/aqua as well. For the ceremony, I will have turquoise chair sashes and I think the drapery on the Chuppah will just be white with accent flowers/rose petals down the aisle in orange/pink. For the reception, tables will be white and have turquoise runners, and the turquoise chair sashes. Our centerpieces are a blue vase with pink/orange/blue flowers.
  14. My moms driving me bonkers! She hasn't done anything for this wedding lately including making sure her timeshare is all set up, and booking a flight! The wedding is in 3 months, and she hasn't even started looking for her dress. She wants a burnt orange flowy chiffon dress. Hello, that's not too easy to find. I've been sending her stuff but she "can't look at it at work" and then she doesn't get on the computer at home. Ugh, anywhoo, just needed to vent!! :Op
  15. Here are my flip flops with my soon to be married name! ) <3
  16. Michele, I think you were the one looking for a TTD. I found some really cute ones on Amazon. Here's two that are under $100.00. http://www.amazon.com/Pleated-Strapless-Rhinestone-Brooch-Bridesmaid/dp/B0038TNQP6/ref=pd_sbs_a_5 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004IGRY4M/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=A3KDCTTFZBLRMU Now I want one again. I had decided to just wear my dress for the TTD session. Argh....
  17. What did you do for your wine charms Less is More? And do you have a template for your room cards? That's a cute idea.
  18. Happy Wedding Day NV+GMS!!! Hope it's beautiful in Mexico. We are about to get a snowstorm! Yuck. I am so ready for the warm weather!
  19. You could also look into them staying at the resort? They would have to stay 3 nights. Yay, things are coming together. Can't wait to see all your final details. It will be here before you know it!!! uote: Originally Posted by Less is more Well ladies I have checked off some major things off my to do list today! SO just wanted to share. My final fitting for my wedding dress and TTD was today and the changes and alterations were beautiful. I mean she was fabulous. I told her i would give her a shout out! She wanted me to wait until a couple of weeks before the wedding to finalize everything which made me nervous. So literally last saturday we fitted both of my dresses, my two bridesmaids, three dresses for my mom and a dress for my mother-in law. She called me Monday morning saying everything was done!!! Wow so amazing and beautifully done. If any one lives in columbus ohio area i know the BEST SEAMSTRESS! Ok other things completed are my OOT bags and goodies, place cards and wine glass charms, my room cards ( i will pass these out at the welcome party and guest can swap room numbers so they know where to find each other and it encourages mingling), and menus. So still working on excursion / important reminders letter and ceremony programs. So needless to say improvement has been made and so happy everything is coming together in the nick of time!
  20. After much debating, I have decided to trash my own dress as well. I bought a plain white cotton dress and thought about wearing that but I felt it would defeat the purpose which is for the pics to still be wedding related. I thought about having a china knockoff made but then that's just something else I have to bring with me.
  21. Have you contacted a GIVC agent to see what types of deals they can get you? Their rates are a little better (for a group contract of course) and they offer a lot of perks. Something to look into. I think all the Mexico resorts are a little ridiculous with what they charge for all the little details. I get glances of the other girls at different resorts complaining of the same things we do on here. I guess it's the price we pay to marry in Paradise. Good luck!
