I told my coordinator that one of my guests will be the DJ, so I have to book a night's stay for the DJ. Sure I can send you the info..PM me your e-mail so I can just forward it to you.

I agree Octavio's prices are great. You also have a good amount of things planned so far! I chose the Tucan Gazebo for the ceremony and the Carribean Terrace for the cocktail hour and reception. I was going to go with discomovil for DJ because their prices are great, but I have just read some really great reviews on DJ Ivan from Dorremix. However, he would cost almost double of what the other DJ charges. Apparently, he has to charge a specific rate for Moon Palace..which he gave me a quote of $900 for 4 hrs. I am emailing him some more questions before I make final decision. The DJ is important and can make or break a party!

Hello ladies...If anyone is interested, I am looking to share a photographer and split travel costs. The photographer is MarieSam Sanchez of this forum and she is offering a great deal, but I have to pay travel costs for 4 nights for her and her assistant. If able to split at least the airfare with someone we can all get a great package from a great photographer. We arrive at moon palace on 5/11 until 5/17..our wedding is 5/15. If anyone will be there around those dates and is interested...Please PM me.

I ordered my dress, made std's and almost finished with my invites and plan to mail them 1st week of November. I did a site visit in July where I met my coordinator Cristina...I was able to book the ceremony and reception locations so far. I have ordered my favors and OOT bags and some fillers for them. I hope to have a final decision on my MOH dress by the end of the month. We have taken our e-pics (twice). I have decided on a DJ, just have to send in my deposit after I receive the contract. Originally I was going to use Octavio, but after seeing so many other photographers work...I am now undecided. I am torn between Juan Navarro, Luz Maria Avila and Octavio. I am also looking into bringing my own photographer to get 3 days worth of pics. I got a really good offer from MarieSam Sanchez from this forum...Her pics are beautiful. If anybody that will be there around my dates want to split travel costs....PM me. MarieSam is a member of this forum, does great work and is really accomodating. Please PM me if interested on sharing her as a photographer. How is everyone else's planning coming along?

I just got my contract for the room block...not sure which side we will be on, Have to discuss this with my TA. We will be arriving may 11th and leaving for honeymoon may 17th.

Thanks for the info ladies...I have emailed my coordinator and I'm waiting for a response. I have gotten a quote from an outside dj for $550 for 4-5 hrs. I have to check my contract and see if it addresses outside vendors. Shelbs..I would also like info on Fernando if you don't mind...PM me.

I know the Moon Palace has a no outside vendor policy. I know that some people get around this with photographers by booking them 1 night stay. I was wondering if I could do the same with the DJ? Moon Palace wants $1400 for a DJ that I have heard wasn't great.Does anyone know?

Hi everybody...Its been a while since I posted last. I have sent out our std's about 1mth ago. I found my dress yesterday and we are shooting our engagement pics tues. I am working on alot of DIY projects. I finished the boarding pass STD's...currently working on our passport invites. I have also ordered our OOT bags...finished the first aid kit template,luggage tag inserts and key card holder inserts. I hope to have invites out by early nov. with a january 15 deadline. This site is so addicting, I have gotten all my templates and mant ideas from here. Sarah...we have the same wedding date...
