What are you guys doing for wedding favors? Also I am having a hard time trying to think of the alternative for my male guest for the OOT bag. The females will get the beach tote I found at the dollartree. Any ideas?

OK Ladies, I am here...yeah... There are so many forums here it gets a little overwhelming. So let's see an update. I have designed my invitations and they should be ready by May 31 and will go out immediately. I sent everyone save the dates and have a website, but as of right now I only have 9 rooms booked. This is my second wedding, so I am trying to be as stress free as possible, but after reading so many post and great ideas it is hard not to want to do a little bit of everything. My FI and I went to bed, bath and beyond and registered so that is taking care of. I wasn't going to at first, but we have so many people that will not be able to come and wanted to send a gift so that is what we did. Colors-I am using most of the included decorations with my package, but if I had to say colors, it would be light blue and gold. I know some of my family is going to be upset when they try and book their rooms and they are all gone and the hotel is overbooked. I have heard that happens quite often. I keep trying to tell them to reserve, but hey you can lead the horse to water... I can completely understand about it being hard to focus. Did I mention I am also moving to a new city in June...add that to the pile. But I can't wait for September. Let's get this post moving....

I am using destinationweddings.com for my TA, Kim Mallory has been great. I emailed her about the spring rates and she was able to get my rate adjusted by $200.00 today. She is working on my group rates. In regards to the makeup-I am not a makeup person and I wanted something that would last the whole night, but didn't feel like I had makeup caked on or couldn't hug people because it would rub off. That is why I decided to use the airbrush makeup. I will be using the Salon for my hair..

One more questions to this awesome group of brides. I am bringing my photographer with me, and he said sometimes photographers have to pay a tax at customs to bring their equipment . Does anyone know if this is true for Jamaica?

Does anyone know if children are allowed in the music bar? I wanted to have the speeches and dances there after the reception dinner, and want to make sure that kids are allowed.

Hi Tina, Your planning sounds great. I agree that our guest are paying a lot to come to the wedding so I understand wanting to make it nice for them. I didn't even know you could do the dance floor on the beach. That is great. I am still opting for the music bar, I have a few older guests coming and need the AC.... I hope you have a planning thread listed, I would love to see the sites where you booked the catamaran cruise and got your OOT gifts.

There are a couple of different reviews for the resort. One bride did not pay for any extras, she used everything that was included and she seemed to have a great wedding. Other brides did a little of both. I am trying not to use too many extras, but sometimes it is hard. I want it to be nice too...

Hello Sept Brides, We are getting married 9/25/11 at Iberostar Suites in Jamaica. Have you guys mailed out your invitations yet? What RSVP date did you put? What did you bring with you to decorate? I brought down blue chair sashes, and blue tulle for the huppah. I also brought my centerpiece filler, floralytes and candles. I rented the vases from tai flora.
