I hear it has lots of pearls and kind of bridal-type stuff! My good friend sells Stella & Dot too. She would be mad if I bought from you

I picked up my dress last week and am raring to go. One thing about this resort I can guarantee is the service. The staff go out of their way to treat everyone special and I know they will make my wedding day one of the best days of my life. Everything I have read has said the service was TOP NOTCH! That's one of the reasons why I picked it. I am just a little bummed the beach won't look like a postcard. You will have to come back and tell us ALL about your wedding when you get back!! Speaking of...I want to see everyone's dresses please post!! Here is mine in Diamond White (left). And my reception dress that I will change into...

Personally, I am using the gazebo as I find it so romantic with the fountains and such plus my guests will have head cover if it gets extremely hot. Thanks Snickers! I have read that they did clean it a lot too. I am getting married on the tail end of October so hopefully it won't be too hot. Have you been there a lot? What does the water look like? Is it super blue? I probably have just read too many reviews on TripAdvisor.com I am second guessing myself. I do it all the time. With my dress, my groom...haha JUST KIDDING BABE <3 <3 I am not a huge beach fan anyway. Sand gets everywhere and creepy crawly things in the water that you can't see. So you will prob. find me poolside! I was just worried about the pictures I guess. Nothing photoshop can't fix!!

I just want a little background noise during the dinner. So I am thinking of bringing down ipod speakers or a little boom box stereo thing, and just plugging it in at the restaurant... thoughts? Suggestions? I know thank goodness I bought it Saturday. I just checked their site again and they sold out! Wow! Not sure what I will wear for my something blue yet. I love the shoe idea but I am changing into the short dress after the ceremony and I think I would look silly with a white cocktail dress and blue satin pumps? I don't really want to buy two pairs. So I was thinking since my ceremony is on the beach I may do blue flip flops? I am not having a reception at Playa. I am just doing a cocktail hour, and then we will just go party it up at one of the clubs! I am doing a small reception for family when we return. I have heard of a lot of people bringing an iPod. Sounds like a good money saver. You should just make your playlist upload it and hit play. I doubt people will care that you don't have a dj or whatever. You are in MEXICO for goodness sake! It's going to be amazing! Yay!!

Are you doing a TTD? I love my dress too much to potentially ruin it! The words trash and dress just don't belong together in my mind! But the photos are always so fun... if we decide to add that, I'd probably look on ebay for another one... Question -- is anyone getting married at the beach location instead of the gazebo? I was planning to do the beach location and am looking for flats that won't sink into the sand... do you think wedges will work? Oh my gosh! I LOVE that dress!! Reminds me of a BCBG dress that I have. I have been pouring over the net for weeks to find a white dress to wear after the ceremony. Can't find anything I like!! I am loving the Madge dress but there are no stores near me. Booooo! I am not doing a trash the dress session. I may do some thing like a bridal portrait when I get back. I have a photographer here that I use. She's super cheap. Maybe I will roll around in the grass or something, but I am not talking it in the ocean!! Yikes! I am getting married on the beach...barefoot! I will have shoes to put on for pictures and after the ceremony.

I have hesitated in sending this out... but I know I am always looking to see what is working for people in regards to losing weight. I wanted to share this before I get too far removed from the wedding and this site. Right before our big day I really hurt my back which was not great for working out and trying to lose weight so I would want to be in a bathing suit. I am not usually one to send out emails, but I had success with this product and wanted to pass it along. This site promotes a 90 day challenge for weight loss. Since I wasn't working out at the time it was a great motivator for me and resulted in weight loss, too! It's a shake/meal replacement product (along with other supplements based on how aggressive you want to be with your weight loss). I have really enjoyed using it and feel it has been better than any SlimFast/EAS thing I've tried. I have been using it as breakfast and even lunch on days when I don't have a lot of time. While you're taking the challenge there is a website that you have access to which allows you to track your diet and also gives you shake/menu ideas. All in all, I just feel like it has made me more conscientious of what I am eating since I start my day tracking calories. Even if I miss a day or two I am usually right back to it since (at least for me) it keeps me disciplined. If you're thinking of trying something out, I recommend taking a look at this. Like I said, I am not usually one to send out a message about a product, but I am fan and feel like brides to be are always looking for ideas. Check it out... and let me know what you think! There are links to details (like nutritional facts, etc) in the link below. If you have any questions or insights, just PM me. Find Your Trim Slim Shape With ViSalus! EPM is an awesome place... Yamina is wonderful! You all will love it! Best of luck! I don't diet...I breastfeed!

Your flower for the hair has to be requested through Yamina please. Let me know any further information you may need. That was the email -- I've written back asking how much the test run would cost... I am still going to bring my own makeup -- especially eye and lip stuff and brushes... Not sure if the test referred to both hair and makeup, but the hair is what scares me the most! (As you have deduced, I have curly hair, and can't even tell you how many times it's been screwed up!) The email address to make an appointment (and to ask questions) is: [email protected]. Per Yamina, tropical flowers are $3/each, and imported ones are more expensive, depends on the flower. I also plan to bring down a photo that I like. Previous brides on this forum has seemed happy with the salon/spa so I am optimistic! Hope that helps your planning! Is anyone thinking of doing a rehearsal dinner the night before? I am uncomfortable with paying extra for food at an all-inclusive resort... already doing that for the actual wedding day... thoughts? Ideas? Thanks!! Thanks for the info Houston! I am not planning a rehearsal dinner, but from what I have read it's not that big of a deal to just walk in with a large party to one of the restaurants. I am not even doing a reception. I am just doing a cocktail hour and I am just going to wing it afterward. But I am crazy like that! Have you all picked out your dresses yet?! I am interested to see what everyone is wearing. Formal, informal, short...Please post! Here is mine! I am got it in the diamond white. I have over $200 in alterations being done including a sweetheart neckline being added. Allure : Style 8526 From AllureBridals.com

Anyone planned with their photog when to take pics? Before/After the ceremony? May depend on the number of guests/family/bridesmaids...since mine is so small, we are keeping it pretty minimal to save money. We have had a few more people add on to our group, so I am going to add a cocktail hour now (we were just doing the basic package before) - we can either use the Revive Bar or the Spice Terrace. I'm thinking the Revive - our whole wedding theme is sort of casual Mexico vibe, and even though the Spice is indoors and air conditioned, it just doesn't have anything to do with the rest of the style of our wedding. Any insight? I'll JUST miss you too! HustonBride, and one other (can't remember who) will all be down there the same weekend! I am doing pictures afterward. I bumped my ceremony up from 5 pm to 4. The sun sets at like 6:05 I think? I wanted all my guests involved in a few pictures and I really didn't want my fiancee' to see me before. Although Huston had a cute idea!

We got a suit for my fiancee last weekend and I am in the process of deciding on a dress, then I am ready to not have to do much til October! We are having a party at a Mexican restaurant here in town a few weeks after we get back, and I have found a few fun things to add to that, but otherwise, I am going pretty low key. One question....has anyone heard good/bad things about the hair/makeup people in the EPM spa? I plan on letting them do mine but am a little nervous... I am wondering the same thing about hair/make-up. I don't want to look like a circus clown on my wedding day.

Hmmm...I have no idea. My fiance and I went from traditional wedding in May 2011 to running off to Mexico after a short engagement! We are not planning a big wedding. It started out with us and 2 other couples (witnesses) and others have just hopped on board! Nothing like waiting till the last minute. Guess that's why I have to get married on a Thursday As far as the prices...I would just try contacting a travel agent. I called several before I found a good deal. I happened upon a Facebook page of a TA today that seemed to have really good deals on Excellence resorts. Maybe you should give him a try? Melissa Ann Wagner | Facebook Good luck!!

Welcome Monica! That's awesome! There is another bride that will be there the same week as us too (HustonBride)! I am getting married 10/27/10. I was not a huge fan of the resort photographer so I am hiring someone outside. His name is William Sanchez. His rates are pretty reasonable and photos are amazing!

No info on trips. I know there is lots to do, but my friends just honeymooned there last June and said that they never wanted to leave the resort. I have read a lot of reviews from trip advisor who said the same thing. The trips are an all day thing where a bunch of sweaty people are crammed on a bus? I am guessing they are talking about going to the ruins, and zip lining? I am not going to research it too much. I guess I will just feel it out when I get there?
