oh and we just had one more person book too!! (that's 2 more in the past week) .. crazy people. thankfully I do have enough stuff OOT bag-wise for my cousin (who booked early last week) ... but the one who booked friday is FI's buddy and FI says "too bad, he doesn't get anything because he's too late" LOL

i can't believe all the last minute things i keep coming up with LOL .. with only 3 weeks to go, i thought i'd be ready to go by now, but nope!! tonight i've decided that i'm going to try and make my own hair flower (out of extra dress fabric) because i still haven't even gotten that!!

if i got that white top, it would match all 3 of the bottoms that i have already so i could save some $

thanks for the heads up Meg!! but being way on the East end of TO it just don't have the time to drive out to mississauga... lesee -- they only had the 2 w/ bandeau tops - the navy with teeny white polka dots, and navy/white stripped.. really cute though and cheap!! wish they had more colours!

victoria's secret shipping isn't as bad as old navy.. for a $24 bandeau top, it comes to $45.99 ... i still can't bring myself to spend that on a bathing suit top!!!! lol .. i just bought a bandeau top w/ boy bottoms (top is navy w/ white polka dots, bottom just navy) for $31 total at Joe Fresh --- a line carried in the Real Canadian SuperStores

my parents actually suggested a DW!!!! so they were all for the idea right from the get go. FI and I made the decision because we'd be paying for it ourselves, we liked that it would be low-key and it would be a great way to get our wedding and honeymoon in for one low price! HIS parents on the other hand were not very impressed... they're Polish and have very traditional European views when it comes to weddings... it took a few months to convince them. To be completely honest, I still get the feeling that they're not impressed on the whole thing because it's 4 weeks away and they still haven't shown their excitement or anything.. hopefully their attitudes will change once we all get down there!

That will be neat to have both of your grandmother's engagement rings Good luck on finding something!! my mom also told me at lunch that I can have her grandmother's wedding band (which my mom wears) to put in between my wedding band an engagement ring since they don't match up perfectly. i'm considering it, but i know my mom really like's wearing it so i might tell her to wait on that one.

OOOOO I have some really cool/exciting news! I've been trying to figure out what to use for my "something old" for a while now.. I guess my mom emailed my grandma last night asking her because she was coming down to visit for the weekend. So my grandma showed up at my parents' house the same time as me for lunch today with a little box filled of old things that I can pick from. SO, providing the jeweller can clean and resize it in the next week and a half, my something old will be a ring ... 10K gold with 3 stones which look like 2 diamons and a sapphire in the middle. My grandma isn't 100% sure if the stones are real though, but no matter.. they'll look awesome when it's cleaned. The cool thing is that the ring belonged to my GREAT-GREAT-Grandmother!!! My grandmother's dad's mother. How cool is that?! My grandma's words "I can only hope that you'll continue to wear it after your wedding day". I really hope the jeweller can get it fixed up for me in time!

mocha - now that i see other posts.. if you choose to take the $ from your parents, you just have to somehow get FI to understand that it's for the two of you and your wedding.. not FI's family...

mocha - i couldn't even imagine having to leave after a work day!!! our trip is wed-wed (it was cheaper) so i just took the full 2 weeks off of work... we also fly out at something like 6:45 am on the 6th, so ther was no way i was working the day before.. i'm going to thave to get up at like 3am! (airport is an hr away) as for your family $ thing.. $ is always such an awkward topic.. as hard as it might be, part of me wants to say if your parents want to help $-wise, i'd just let them. my parents would have offered the same if i hadn't taken their 'wedding money' as my down payment 4 years ago when i was engaged to my ex.... and then FI's parents are fronting the bill for our AHR.. only cuz it's not the bbq that i wanted and essentially said i wouldn't spend my $ on a hall reception LOL

i haven't checked winners myself, but my mom went last week and said there wasn't much of anything..... joe fresh finally got some.... really good quality too but i HATE the colour!!! LOL .. just not a fan of navy

oh i wish i could have had time off before the wedding! ... at least i have 4 days to organize stuff before we leave! unforunately for me, i work in an office filled with men (the ladies are all upstairs and we don't really get along ..they're old and cranky lmao) anyway, the men just don't get my excitement!!!

on my weekend TO-DO list: - hitting up the mall yet again tonight to see if Old Navy got their bathing suits yet... still need at least 2 with bandeau tops! - finish up bookmarks (i messed up one page when laminating last week, so i'll do another this aft) - work on my dress - key-card holder inserts Erin - for the OOT bags, i just plan on bringing all the supplies down and assembling there. this way they can be spread out through bags. I think my mom is taking the actual oot bags for us in her suit case

meg - LOVE the ring holder!!! ... i hear you about "bride brain" LMAO ... i'm a project coordinator here and have found it so hard to concentrate on everything that needs to be done/followed up on... wedding stuff is on my mind NON-STOP!

well i'm glad i listened to FI last night and went over to La Vie En Rose for that cover up!! they only had 1 turquoisse one left and I got it!! it's awesome!

I told FI that i'd go and get that coverup from La Vie En Rose this weekend and he's like "NO! go tonight!!! what if it's gone by weekend!!" LMAO.... so I guess i'm going to pop in tonight after my run providing i'm not too much of a sweaty mess LOL they have some cute dresses on their site too, so maybe i'll get one too!!!! ... I tried buying sundresses last summer when the sales came on. So I already have a cute camo strapless babydoll from forever 21 and 2 other casual summer dresses - 1 in hot pink and 1 turquoise... need a few more though!
