Then we have yoga on the agenda and possibly a sleigh ride. All before getting gussied up for a fancy dinner and midnight swim!! I can't wait!!!!
  9. OMG Brandy, everything is so absolutely AMAZING! hands down the #1 April bride! So many gret ideas executed beautifully. Your guests aren't going to know what hit them when they arrive down in the Turks with you guys! I am positive no one will ever forget this special trip you've created for them. I can't wait to hear how it all went when you get back ... and see pictures of course! p.s. we'll definitely have to stay and touch when all of our weddings are done. I can't imagine NOT talking to you or any of the other April girls after all of these months of daily chatting. You're going to make a gorgeous bride!!
  10. We do have Macs, although new to me since FI moved in last spring. Is garageband something I can download?
  11. Erin - incase you haven't heard of it, one of my buddies (who's like a computer guru) told me to download "audacity". he said i should literally be able to cut out parts of mp3 files to make 'my own'. I've yet to try it, but it's worth a shot!
  12. aww thanks!! let me know how you like them!
  13. Erin - SO glad that it sounds like all of your seamstress issues are over!! Ok ladies, here's a music question... are you guys just picking a part of those songs to play as you walk down the aisle?? like how are you doing it??? ie. it's not going to take 3+ minutes to walk down an aisle right?
  14. I still have NO idea about what we're using music-wise yet!! I'm thinking a rendition of "Come What May" from Moulin Roughe -- LOVE IT! ... but it's long.. so I need to play around with it and see if i can make my own version. we've also been thinking about Taylor Swift's "Love Story" ..... oh and "Baby I Love Your Way" by Big Mountain... So undecided!!!
  15. oops made a typo --- our trip came to $1406/ea .. got back $130/ea
  16. We reserved our wedding date and then booked back in July. You can't CONFIRM your wedding date (as in officially reserve) with the Riu until you have your booking confirmation number. We had also gotten a pretty great group rate that we chose to take advantage of. At time of booking, we had a price of $1536-taxes in. We had to pay a $300/ea deposit and the entire trip was paid for by the end of October. Since we booked with Signature Vacations, we were also able to take advantage of 1 price drop up to 60 days prior to departure. So, we lucked out pretty big (in my opinion) and got back $120/ea in early feb making our total trip $1416 all incl. taxes in.. for 7 days. I should also add.... I wouldn't completely trust the RIU website when reserving your date either. They've changed the site since we did it and our date and time slot is still being shown as open even though it is not.
  17. LOL to your photo ruiner comment!!! Our ceremony is at 2pm on the beach so excited!!
  18. OMg MEG!!! incredible!!! your FI is gonig to die when he sees these!!!
  19. I was pleasantly surprised about FI's cousins booking a month ago and fine.. we had enough supplies because another of his cousins+aunt said they were going to book since xmas and never did. And I was happy when my cousin booked last week out of nowhere. I really wanted her to come but being in school she couldn't. It was last week when she found out she had no exams this semester so yay! she's coming! I also have enough OOT supplies for her! ... but then Friday night one of FI's friends tells us he booked??? lol oh my... i think he might get a back, but no key card holder or anything... it's not like I was going to keep extras "incase" people booked. FI says "too bad for him!"
  20. ..unless you're like me and find out people keep booking!!!! LOL .. although i think we're also finally at the FINAL count.
  21. Aww that's soo good to hear Erin!!!
  22. ha!! I just might see you when I'm down there!! we leave from TO April 6, my wedding is April 9!! how long are you down for?
  23. mocha - no problem! you should definitely give it a shot because it was really easy. just make sure you're using a fabric that will melt... and be careful not to burn yourself! LOL i almost burned my fingers a few times oops!
  24. ooo yay!!! defintiely get some pics this time Brandy!!!
  25. Ladies, thank you so much for all the nice comments on my flower! I just posted it in the DIY forum, but if any of you are interested in trying to make one, I used the tutorial here -- http://www.simplyvintagegirl.com/blog/index.php/2010/05/29/tutorial-how-to-make-lovely-fabric-flowers It was REALLY easy to make and only took me like 45 min to do (the perfect thing to do while watching tv!) Meg - so glad you enjoyed your BD shoot!!! I had a ton of fun when I did mine last year.
